Taran nods.. "I-I can. I-It is nice to meet you K-Kaori"

"Thank you mister Taran." River bows her head in thanks before turning to Akuma. "I'm sorry I dragged you into all of this, miss Akuma. I thought that you deserved to know as much as everyone else."

Akuma nods and shrugs. "It's helpful to know, yes. The more I know, the better I can interact with you. All of you." She offers everyone else a nod with a smile. 

"Should... Should we go back, before mister Murephan becomes more upset? I don't want to take too long..."

Taran nods, the motion still too sharp and quick in this strange space, "W-We pr-probably should. W-We have a m-mission and th-the quicker we are, th-the m-more likely it w-will be the Qu-Quori in c-control. A-Any sp-special s-s-supplies I-I can get y-y-you Miss Kaori?"

"Well... I don't want to be too much of a bother... Could I ask you to make something for my beak? A piece is broken and it makes eating a bit of a chore... It's not super important so don't feel like you have to..." She adds the last bit quickly, a bit of worry in her voice.

Taran gnaws on his lip for a minute, nervously glancing around and thinking, "I-I-I'm s-s-sorry, M-Miss K-Kaori, I-I n-never l-learned h-h-how to m-make m-m-medical pr-prosthetic," he says finally, "N-N-Normally w-w-we'd s-s-send to a Bl-Blacksmith or a T-Tinker to c-c-cast s-s-something like th-that. Um, I-I m-m-might b-be able to as-ask ar-around, an-and, i-if n-n-n-n-nothing else, I-I m-might kn-know s-s-someone who c-c-could make o-one f-f-for you."

"Anything at all would be nice. I'd appreciate it a lot." She hugs Taran's waist.

"O-O-Okay, I'll... I'll leave a m-message at the cl-clinic and... I'll m-m-make sure to s-send a m-message to Tashalatora" Taran says, awkwardly returning the hug.

Vishal smiles and says, “Alright. Sounds like an amazing idea. And I can try to learn to make this place for the future. I’m already doing psychic training so I’ll add this to the list.” 

Caelius smiles at Taran and Kaori's hug, "Vishal. If there's any way you learn in which my magic might help with this, please let me know."

Murephan and the kalashtar in white stand and come over. "Right, let's get back to the meeting room before Kelki really does set something on fire." the elan grunts.

The woman smiles faintly as her eyes travel across the fiery aura around Vishal. She inclines her head to him again.

Vishal:

Murephan gives the kalashtar an irritated look. "If you're going to catch up, do it in your own thought bubble, not when I'm about to need your help to safely dissolve a makeshift mindscape," he says irately.

The kalashtar tilts her head, a faint smile appearing on her face, and nods, lifting her hand to brush against the symbol on Murephan's forehead, which starts to glow white.

One by one, you all wake up at the meeting table, feeling as if you just came out of a period of intense focus. Kelki is practically dancing with impatience in her seat, though a look from Murephan gets her to stop wiggling a bit.

Once they were awake Taran immediately walked over to stand in front of Kaori. He took a series of deep breathes and puts both hands behind his back out of sight. Then in a clear, normal voice he says "My name is Kaori."

Then he nervously puts his hands back in front of him, fiddling and asks "W-W-Was th-that o-o-okay, M-Miss Kaori?"

"My name is Kaori." She repeats after, nodding her head excitedly.

"I-I-I'm gl-glad," Taran says before turning to the Murephan and bowing, "Th-th-thank you s-s-sir f-for your ass-assistance. We w-won't f-forget it. I-If I m-may, I w-would like to l-leave and s-send some l-letters before we set out."

"I'm not your superior," Murephan grunts, standing. "You can go wherever you want without asking my permission. Kelki, stop wiggling around like your seat is on fire-you didn't set your chair on fire, did you?" He narrows his eyes at the dromite, who shakes her head innocently.

"Th-Thank you." Taran says taking his response as permission. He turned to the rest of the group. "I-I-I'll m-meet you by the g-g-gate in... a half an hour." he says, before heading out the door and into the Keep.

For Books

After meeting at the gate, you go through a psychic portal that lets you out at the eastern border.  The two week journey is thankfully uneventful, and on the sixteenth day of travel, you see the spheres of Dar Mirn on the horizon.

OOC: Your information drop is just outside the city, in a grove of cedar trees a mile from the west gate. It will be found in a hollow in one of the trees, and is encoded. The images that might give a hint of the mission, were they discovered by your enemy, are stored in a small crystal with the papers. When you speak the code word "park", it will project an image of 8925 in a similar effect to minor illusion.

Taran would go and retrieve the drop, bringing the papers and crystal back to the party's camp, which will hopefully be well hidden and outside the city limits.
