Taran nods, immediately beginning to describe to the Esteemed Vishal and the group an ideal location for setting up a series of traps.
Once there, he gets to work.
Ball Bearings are scattered in a 20 ft by 10 ft line, to slow approach by the North (L2 to L3 then up to O3 and O2)
(A creature moving across the covered area must succeed on a DC 10 Dexterity saving throw or fall prone. A creature moving through the area at half speed doesn't need to make the save.)
Caltrops are carefully buried under the snow in a 10 ft by 5 ft line to the South (M6 and M7) while the rest of the area is covered by his Oil of Slipperiness in a 10 ft cube.(K and L 7 and 8)
( Caltrops: Any creature that enters the area must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or stop moving this turn and take 1 piercing damage. Taking this damage reduces the creature's walking speed by 10 feet until the creature regains at least 1 hit point. A creature moving through the area at half speed doesn't need to make the save. Oil: DC 14 Grease spell)
After that is done, Taran takes out his Thieves tools and begins laying two traps, by cutting up his Rope of Mending and unspooling his Fishing Line and hooks.
The first, set right beside the ball bearings is a trip line connected to his Morning Star poison bomb, set to crack it open and flood the area. Space N4 DC: 23
(One round after it lands, opaque poison smoke fills a 20 ft radius,. Creatures starting their turn in smoke make a DC 12 con save versus poison condition, new save at start of every turn, lasts 1 minute. If the smoke is exposed to flame, it combusts and burns away, Dex save 15 vs 4d6 fire damage )
The second takes two of his Flash Pellets and sets them in the Caltrops, bursting them in a brilliant flash to blind the enemies moving through that area. Space L6 DC: 8
(Each creature in a 5 ft radius, dex save DC 12 to avert gaze or blind for 1 round and disadvantage on perception based on sight for the next round. If vulnerable to bright light, disadvantage on the save)
Finally, as it approaches 15 minutes until they expect Jade-lin back, Taran coats his three walloping bolts and two normal bolts in the Oil of Lesser Sharpness and activates the Censer to summon an Air Elemental, which he mentally commands to hide in the smallest crevices in the rocks that it can find (At N5 if it can)
You set your traps, and then Jade-Lin lopes off towards the silhouette of the monolith, saying she'll be back in about an hour. A little over forty five minutes after she leaves, you see the light of crystals coming across the darkening field towards you. Suddenly, a spectral blade slams into the scree at G4, and then Jade-Lin appears in a whoosh of brassy sparks. The duergar is grinning, a matching blade to the one stuck in the scree in her left hand as she turns to look at where three humans in orange robes have just run into the space between two rocks. One of them steps on the ball bearings and starts flailing to keep their balance, but the one in the lead hits the morning star trap. Opaque gas starts flooding out of the cracked container, and the three humans start coughing.
Further coughing to the south alerts you to two more robed humans, one of whom was just close enough to be caught in the morning star trap. Ranged out behind the robed humans, you can make out five more figures in leather armor with bows.

Once the gas has finished igniting, Akuma grins and gives a quick glance over the battlefield before muttering under her breath, eyes fixed on the nearby rock. "This should be fun..."

It hovers for less than a second before darting at a high speed across the gap between the party and the enemies, settling in the dim shadows beside the rock and dispersing, leaving Akuma standing directly in front of an enemy (placing Akuma at m4). Without hesitation, she shifts into a defensive stance before striking twice at the enemy (n4) eyes narrowed with purpose.
