Taran would take a sentry post, with sight lines stretching as far up and down the pass as he could manage, probably by scurrying into a scrub tree, while staying near to the camp he had helped set up.
He'd keep his crossbow out, bolt loaded, only occasionally touching the ceramic poison bomb, or the bundle of kindling he'd stuffed into another one of his bandolier pouches. Endless hours, becoming one with the terrain and the birdsong, eyes trained in hunting taking in all they could. He didn't let tension take him, just faded into the background, same as a spider after it's web had been set.
Vishal, if it wasn’t already evident enough, is not the worlds most patient man. Geared and ready to go he spends a lot of his time in his designed hiding space until the scouts arrive. When the boredom of waiting gets to be too much he takes out some pieces of paper and either draws or writes. Some stuff he is willing to share if anyone asks. Such as new dances he’s inventing. Others he doesn’t share with anyone and writes in a language he is confident nobody else understands. During night he makes sure to get at least an hour of practice in before bed.
River sits almost painfully still as she watches what she can of the pass, her black feathers and rustling chainmail not helping her hide at all. She looks at the sword in her hand occasionally with an expression mixed between sadness and longing, deep-purple energy swirling around the onyx-black blade as she grips it tightly.
Seeing they had some time left, he decides to better inspect the new items he purchased in order to feel more comfortable with them, thinking to himself that the must be able to fully control the set of Shiftweave he has, changing the costumes at a whim. After some time doing that he decides to take care of his dueling cane, looking for stains and doing general maintenance on it.

The first day passes uneventfully, nothing appearing at the Riedran side of the pass. However, midway through the second day, Taran and River see a group of five soldiers approaching across the plain. They enter the pass, clearly doing their best to remain quiet, but just as obviously having trouble with the rocky terrain.
Because only Taran and River were actively paying attention, Vishal will have to use his turn to warn Caelius and Juhaan. If Caelius or Juhaan have their turn before Vishal, they are unaware of the soldiers approach. If you want to argue this with me, bring it up in the Discord and we'll talk.
The soldiers are currently at the beginning of the pass. They are surprised, and so will not take a turn this round. River is in range to throw the net. Due to the size of the net, she will have disadvantage if she throws it on her own. If one person helps her, she will roll normally. If two other people help her, she will gain advantage. If either Caelius or Juhaan wish to help her, they can only do so if her turn is after Vishal's, or if she holds her turn to go after Vishal. Taran is in range to throw his morning star.

Since River has been watching the pass diligently, she would have been holding an action to throw the net with Caelius' help as soon as the patrol is within range.
Seeing the patrol arrive and that Juhaan isn't paying attention Vishal quickly looks over to him and calling upon his psionic abilities quickly sends him, "They're here! It's Go Time!"
With the arrival of the soldiers it was finally time to act, to spring the trap. The net didn't get enough of them, but surprise and confusion would be their allies.
He flung the clay gas bomb in their midst, cracking the shell. They had seconds until the gas activated, and he already was reaching for the tinder that would alight it.
Morning star throw, adv for hidden, just need to place it in the center of the formation 19
It says one round, so I'm guessing my next turn. 20 ft radius. The save is on my sheet, hard to post it this second.

Juhaan
Startled by Vishal's words and the noises from the patrol he jumps and says "Thanks Vishal!"
He then starts moving his hands and conjuring magic, trying to cast Sleep with the primary target being the soldiers not caught in the net and the secondary target those already trapped.

Caelius snaps with his right hand and extends his pointer finger, a bolt of green, foul smelling energy springs from his pointer finger and towards the leader. He then back pedals 30 feet to stay out of the fray.

Leader Con ST: 16
The leader is able to shrug off the lingering poison. From his spot under the net, he roars, "Altavar! Wiruu, thunderstone at the net area, Kryn thunderstone at the source of the failed thunderstone." He clearly thinks the morning star was a failed grenade of some kind.
Leader Dex check: 14
The leader is able to scramble out from under the net.
Two soldiers hurl small crystals at the cliff face below River and Caelius and the face below Taran.
Thunderstone at River area: 6 Thunderstone at Taran area: 18
Both cliff faces are hit and a loud BOOM echoes through the canyon as the rock begins to shudder and shift. Taran and River must give me a DC 10 Dex ST or be knocked prone. The cliff sections below you are clearly on the verge of collapse, unbalanced by the thunderstones.

He keeps his balance as the cliffs shake, his hands steady as a single drop of alchemist fire alighting the tinder. He moves further down the cliff face, towards the soldiers, not trusting the ground underneath him.
As the smoke billows out from the Morning Star, he tosses the tinder into the area.
A roaring explosion fills the canyon, as his unslings his crossbow to mop up the soldiers
(OOC: I figured since I just need to hit a 40 ft circle, I can do that without a roll)
River nimbly dodges so she isn't knocked prone (Rolled 18+2=20 on Discord) and points her sword at the leader, causing him to begin giving off thick, black smoke. From the tip of her sword, a dark ball of energy flies out towards the leader and slams into the centre of his chest as she moves to an area of cover.
Hexblade's Curse on the leader. Eldritch Blast 14 to-hit, 4 Damage. Move to the closest thing to River that will provide cover from the soldiers.
Vishal, the last to react, is obviously hesistant about this. He doesn't like the idea of killing these patrol when we can liberate and help them. He definetly doesn't like the idea of attacking defensless enemies. However, he is a member of the road, and this is what he's suppose to do; follow orders. "I'm sorry. I wish I could help you. May the Light guide your soul." Vishal whispers in quori right before he shaikly throws his chakram at the unconsious enemy leader and then calls it back to his hand.
