Rose curses to herself and then yells at Cirrus. Are you crazy? You'll block our only exit if you do that! Come on man! Rose aapproaches as close as she can but doesn't draw her weapon and tries to keep herself out of immediate melee range of the bugbear and drow but hopefully close enough to prevent Cirrus from trying to blow up the exit. Drow! I know enough about your kind to know you're pragmatic and selfish! Power is all well and good but useless if you don't live to wield it! So whats more important to you right now? Slowing us down or getting out of here with your life? I'm a cleric of Selûne, and I give you my word we will not try to harm you if you don't try to harm us. If we work together, your chances of survival go up, and you know I'll keep my word! So make a choice quick or you'll end up dead with the rest of us!

Malman expertly makes his way through the fog, having a very good memory and nose, for the distance. He nearly manages to get down to where the others would be visible. Cirrus begins moving a flask of oil he'd stolen from the corpse of a dwarf earlier, getting ready to set it up for an explosion in the unfinished and unsupported tunnels. Rose intervenes, berating Cirrus for trying to cause an explosion in such a place before speaking to the Drow and his cronies.
Hmm.... he growls, thinking while not fully trusting the moon whore priestess, It was your own foolish actions that caused this mess. You have no idea what lingers down here, undead, and other abominations, even a beholder in the deepest reaches! Yet you all but called them down on us. Eughh... Burgee chiming in then, and the drow sighs, But you're both right. What point is there in fighting here only to die when everything collapses on us. Fine, you have your treatise. But we still have a slime to deal with.
The bugbear that had been facing the party, looks a little confused, and while still tense, visibly relaxes. Though it doesn't take its eyes off the group. The drow, unable to fight the slime, says to the bugbear facing the party Lie down or pin yourself against the wall you fool, neither of us can help your brother, but they might! the bugbear hits the floor, trying to take up as little room as possible, while the drow pins himself to the wall. But should you try anything, we will atleast inconvenience you before the end!
The Bugbear brother moves to the side as much as possible without hindering his own fighting style, as his club rises and falls on where the slime is. The slime gets in a ferocious attack that brings the bugbear to it's knees before the club falls weakly against the floor near it. The bugbear is suddenly engulfed by the slime after another ferocious attack, and before your very eyes, you all watch in horror as the massive bugbear that had been there moments ago, was quite literally being digested at a massive pace, almost turning to bone immediately as the slime pressed forward...
Gwen, takes a shot at the creature, knowing her bolt would be lost but intending to go along with Rose's plan. Perhaps it was because of the still-eating slime, or just that her bolt had struck some tangible portion, the creature reels for a moment in agony before continuing its lumbering pursuit of food.
With the slime now so close, the drow, jumps over his ally, and says Avenge your brother! Will you let him die such an inscrutable death?! and the bugbear gets back up, raising its club, trying to strike at the monster that was eating his brother in front of him even as the last strips of flesh were disappearing.
Unfortunately, the bugbear is overcome with grief, and his attack is ineffectual. You all, likely for the first time, hear the deep, pained moans of a bugbear who just lost someone.. or something they cared about, and though grating, you likely couldn't help but feel some level of pity for the creature having to see such a horrible sight happen before his eyes.
Party is up. BB is dead. Slime has moved 1 tile closer, the drow is now between yourselves and the bugbear.

Rose did in fact feel bad for the bugbear, but had little time to offer condolences. She did not however let the fact that the Drow was clearly trying to put the other bugbear between him and slimy death slip her notice. Still, she could not get closer to attsck and even if she did her only weapon might be destroyed in the process. Instead Rose conjures up Selûnes axe one last time in a space behind the slime and orders it to attack.
A gust of wind lifts Burgee into the air and he points toward the slime as he whispers the cold words of the north. As he speaks the air in front of his hand begins to crystallize and forms an ice knife which he sends carefully toward the slime so that its fragments do not inadvertently hit the mourning bugbear. "Watch out!" he cries to the bugbear, "it's going to shatter." The ice knife flies towards its target, shattering on impact. (Attack: 18 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. Before Cirrus can raise his crossbow, The moonlit axe slicing down into the creature, the followup from Burgee pierces the slimes 'flesh' before exploding from within, the slime becoming no more than a few bits of acid, that hiss against the walls softly, before dissipating entirely. Cirrus lowers his crossbow, a little disappointedly. After seeing that that threat had been removed, the bugbear stands tall, but solemn. The drow breathing a sigh of relief. Good, now that that is taken care of... We can continue. There is no point in mourning your brother right now Escht. Lest the monstrosities in here consume us before we can. Our only goal should be to get out of here before that happens. If you wish to mourn after that, then so be it. But get moving.
The bugbear turns around and glowers at the drow, gritting it's teeth.... but ultimately just punches a hand into the wall, weakly, barely unsettling the nearby dust before turning around, and begrudgingly moving forward. Though the fight was over, their was still the tension in the air.
After any exchanges, you all can make your way to the area where the rope is to climb if you wish.
Malman eventually comes tearing down the final flight of stairs. Now free of the confines of the tunnels, if only temporarily, and seeing the others close by, a confused Bedwarf stalks closer. He had heard some things, but --
Then the drow spied just around the bend. Malman growled, and for a few seconds it looked as if he might barrel over everyone, crushing them against the walls if need be, just to get at the drow. But with one too many bodies in the way and enough wisdom to consider the scene, the growling comes to an end as Mal stalked behind the group. If anyone gives him at least a quick explanation, the dwarf nods, if but grudgingly in acceptance, and would follow along. But not only as the biggest of the group, there was absolutely no way the drow or its pet Bugbear was going behind him up anything.
Whenever it should get to Malman's turn, rather than revert, he instead puts powerful claws and herculean strength to work and climbing up the side. (30ft climb speed) If need be, he would take Yue by the scruff, and with some difficulty climb up with her. But if Rose more wisely chose to tie her to the rope in a makeshift harness to be pulled up after, the dwarf waits at the bottom, intending to break her or anyone else(but the drow's) fall in the event they fall with his furry body.

Before the bugbear moved on Rose lays a hand on his fur. Your brother was very brave. Let's not let his sacrafice go to waste by dying now. When Rose heard the bear approaching she quickly explained to him what was going on before moving forward. As they got to the rope Rose would try to fashion a harness that would support Yue so she could be pulled from up top. Rose would also be insistent that, while not going last, the Drow not be the first to go either, as she was silently worried about any attempts of betrayl by cutting the rope.
You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
The bugbear looked down at the exceptionally tiny Rose, and looked like it wanted to say something but ultimately chose not to. Lingering in that moment for only a brief moment before turning to start to head out. Ever-cautious, the group pins the Drow and the bugbear in between them so that if he tried anything he would find himself immediately surrounded. And eventually everyone finds themselves back at the rope. The drow looks mildly annoyed at how Rose continued to insist that someone from the party go up first, though before he could even voice an objection, the bear began simply climbing the cliff wall.
After several minutes, Yue was finally pulled up, and the Bugbear came up last, once the wolf had been untied. Everyone heading outside the cave, if only just past it. Finally the drow says You got the map right? If so, not all is lost. If not, then there's no point in staying here. Gwen looks like she's about to say something, but looks to Rose, leaving it up to her to decide if she would reveal it or not. The only thing I got was his staff. If anyone else got the map, I didn't see.
"Why do you want the map? What could that map do to help us that getting out of this gods forsaken cave wouldn't?" Cirrus asks, trying to give the rest of the party info on the Drow before they decide to tell him anything about the map.

Cirrus can tell the drow intends to go back inside as soon as he feels it's safe to do so. Cirrus whispers this to Rose and Gwen before the drow says it himself. Why else you daft child?! Vhalak looks at Rose during her outburst, and he seems to be focusing on her for several long moments, as if to read her. His eyes narrow before a smile creeps over his features. Destroyed, you say? You're a fairly convincing liar, if I wasn't... talented in detecting lies. I am a drow, afterall. Our civilization is built on deception, or .. were you unaware of this fact? Show me the map. That fool "The Spider" was smart but in his overzealoutry, he likely failed to see what I can see. He refused to let anyone but himself see the map. I'm sure I can decipher the location of the forge, if you give me but a moment.
Rose quietly curses herself for being a terrible liar before drawing her weapon. I didn't forget, knew I couldn't get a lie past a Drow but I had to try. If you want the map however you'll have to pry it from cold dead hands. You can't be trusted with anything to be found here. Rose glares at the Drow and awaits his move, readying to dodge any incoming attacks.

Vahlak can only smile more, as he watches the cleric lie once more. His eyes shifting to Gwen breifly. Ah... I see..... You don't have it, but.. she does. Either way... you can trust me, atleast insofar as to get you there....afterall, with so many creatures wandering about, neither of our groups can make it there alone. The monstrosities were the primary reason we were unable to get to the forge, and the spider had us instead... guarding from incursions, and seeking something where we were before we came to help our precious leader. We can both benefit from this.
Malman had enough of the back and forth. Against what still felt somewhat his better judgement, the drow not only had been spared for this long, but had been allowed to escape at all. Granted, there was gonna eventually be a ton of monsters at their back, and fighting in tight corridors as a great, big 'o Brown Bear wasn't exactly ideal. But nonetheless, the deal was made, and if nothing else, his dwarven honor demanded it be followed suit.
To an extent. When the little weasal with either a sharp intuition or mind reading at hand insisted upon a false partnership(as far as Malman was concerned), it was a step too far. 'Too dangerous... Too Greedy... Too... Drow' He thought, hair bristling as anger began to boil over. A few seconds. That's all he gives anyone to even begin formulating an answer before he is charging forward, roaring and bearing his teeth, intending to crush the Drow's head between his jaws much as he did the Spiders just moments ago!
