Cirrus' statement is met with a soft sigh and a nod of acknowledgement. Some part of the dwarf yet remained concerned for the boy, and it showed briefly in his watching Cirrus step up. He had not paid much mind to in the past, but between what Yue spoke of and the events of the cave, it was if the weight of the world was on his shoulders. Or could it be he was misreading things? The idle thought did get him to furrow his brows for a moment before ultimately deciding to suppress all further thought on the matter. Now was not the time for idle thoughts.
As for the bugbear, though goblinoids and dwarves had a fairly bloody history, Malman wasn't as nearly set on killing the bugbear outright. Not at the time, anyhow. But history is yet everything for a dwarf, so the best he could manage was not even look the Bugbear's way once given the chance to flee. If he could but overhear any of what Rose said, he would absently nod in approval while staring off elsewhere as if contemplating the Druid's wishes.
When at last the ritual seemed about done, a ritual that at another time Malman might've wished to join in or observed more closely in proper awe and respect, Malman gets to his feet, scratches Yue behind the ear, then made ready to do some hurried leaping through portals and so forth to danger. With no magic at hand and no certainty of being able to react in time to any surprises, he only braced himself mentally for what was to come.

The bugbear doesn't respond, though Rose catches a moment of hesitation in its stride, before continuing on its way. Gwen half feeling sorry, half morbidly-laughing at Cirrus' statement, before moving with the rest. Yes, let us hurry, before we lose our employer, as well as anyone else. before the very same man heals him and she.. admittedly felt a pang of guilt for her inner-thoughts. Burgee, silently moves to get ready as the druid begins to touch the tree, determined to hold up his end of the bargain. Yue following suit, as she watches people begin to disappear, an odd intelligence in the wolf. Malman, and eventually everyone else making it through. It was a rush like no other, as the moment every person made it through, Appa would touch yet another nearby tree, it rippling just the same, and the world around you all swirled as each moment of movement, felt like a small eternity passing in the blink of an eye.
Eventually, you all find yourselves at the edge of Phandalin, near the farmers house in the south-east corner. This being the closest the druids could get. Appa seemed fine, however his two apprentices seemed exhausted, and would likely need a moments rest before they could be of any help. Once you all stop looking around at your immediate surroundings, you see Phandalin, ablaze. While the entire town isn't on fire, various portions of it are. Smoke rising, though you notice a distinct lack of screaming, or other noises that one might expect of a heated battle or full-on rout. Though you all do hear the incessant drumming of an orcish warband, the crackling of the various blazes, and the sounds of a large creature moving about.
By the earth-mother.... Such devastation.... I would not wish such a fate even upon those who lacketh respect of our world....
Rose looks around at the destruction and draws her hammer once more. Maybe Gundren got Salazar and Lark to help evacuate the town? She asked no one in particular not daring to hope. Her eyes then fell onto the farm up ahead and her heart started to sink as she remembered the child, Carp Alderleaf and his father. The halflings ran the farm, and both had already been through enough before Rose even got here the first time. Without another word Rose started dashing towards the farm desperate to make sure the child was alive.
"Rose wait!" Burge exclaims. He looks toward the others as he shakes off the effects of... whatever that was. He glances at the druid, "I owe you a debt and will hold true but I won't let he go alone," he says as he runs off behind Rose.

Cirrus stands horrified before the blazing visage of these innocent people's homes. People who just a few days ago were all smiling and happy as can be. The scene that awakened Cirrus to the realization that the world was better off without him. Was this devastation his fault somehow? Had his curse extended to Phandilin to such a horrifying degree? Or was Phandalin itself damned to tragedy and slaughter, until nothing remained of the town but a black circle scarring the planet?
He looks down at his staff, the symbol of what he believed to be his quest to pay penance for his sins. His vow to never again inflict the pain he had caused in his last world. What was the point of this mission if terrible things like this were going to happen anyway? Then it clicked for him: His mission wasn't simply to not cause the pain he has in the past, but to also heal the pain of others when unavoidable tragedies like this do happen. With this realization, C
Perception check. He wants to safely see of there are prisoners with the orcs (also, how close are the orcs? first time I read the post I thought the drums were distant, but it doesn't say that), and where the large beast is.
You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
A by then grim-faced Malman had nodded absently in agreement; but, within that same expression remained a hint of doubt. He closed his eyes after and squeezed them shut for a few seconds. The breath he intended to let out slowly however comes out rushed upon being startled hearing Burgee's call. After which he sighed, shook his head, and too looked back to the druid. "If nothing else, best we stick together, least any stragglers pick us off." He would say as much before setting off at a very brisk jog after Rose.
Rose takes in what she see's around her, and after several moments, charges towards the farm. Gwen caught off guard, puts a hand out, almost shouting, but catching herself into a loud whisper R-Rose where are.... before seeing the halfling had no intention of stopping, and following her ferocious little lover. Burgee seemingly having the same idea, and following after both. Cirrus however turned inwardly, once more cursing himself and believing his existence was the cause of every evil in the world.
Cirrus, instead of charging after the halflings farm, chooses to take a breath, as he comes to terms with himself, focusing intently on the noise, and swiftly realizes the sound it coming from the center of town, as if the attackers were already declaring victory. Rushing to the unnamed red-roofed house just south of the townmasters hall to scout out if there were any prisoners to save, or if there were only corpses. As he makes his way to the edge of the house, he see's eight orcs, surrounding a fire they seem to be building out of broken chunks of the nearby houses. The townmasters hall has been utterly destroyed, leaving the fates of Lark and Salazar in the realm of the unknown. The ogre seems to be chewing on whats left of a human. And next to him, seems to be the orc that's leading them all, sitting atop a small pile of bodies, though, likely to Cirrus' relief.. it didn't look like it was the entire towns worth, leaving room to hope.
However in his rush to get over, he, despite trying to be quiet, had hit the edge of the house to stop his momentum and it seemed a few of the orcs were looking around. Ey, ey. I hear. Maybe more to fight still around? though, luckily for cirrus, they haven't spotted him yet.
Malman saying his piece, to Appa, and rushing off to help Rose check for survivors among the Alderleafs. Appa, however, had other plans. I am afraid I cannot abideth by thine request, young druid. For the man of wind hath chosen to stay his own course. Inti. Sasha. This is to be a learning experience, about balance. Pay close heed. For though they may not respect nature as we do, they have also not gone out of their ways to destroy her. As such, we cannot abide their violence. For as the lion hunts the sheep, providing for the plants. And thus, the plants provideth for the sheep, in an endless cycle. Let us teach these foul creatures of natures fury.
the two apprentices still panting from the exertion before remain where they are as Appa strides forward. Chanting as he goes. With his staff, he might have been able to perform this spell instantaneously, however, it seems it's going to take him a little longer as he moves towards Cirrus location, however, striding boldly where he would be visible. The orcs take notice, and a warcry emits, followed be ever more enthusiastic drumming.
Meanwhile, at the alderleaf farmhouse, Rose, Gwen, Burgee, and Malman all head inside or search around its outer edges. No sign of the boy, his father, or anyone else can be found. It seems his farm has been untouched, however, there are signs of a rushed evacuation. Perhaps grabbing enough food for a few days and simply leaving. Outside, a warhorn can be heard, followed by cries and shouts that sound orcish in nature. But also, the very hair on your bodies begins to stand on end, as if every proton, and ion in the area is gathering at a single point. Tiny motes of light seem to be pouring towards where the shouts are coming from.
Combat has not officially started, however, the Orcs are exceptionally aware of the druid.
Rose looks around but fails to find any signs of the boy or his fathers demise. She feels a bit of relief as it seems the had fled to safety yet the world still seemed blurry to her. It was only then she realized she was crying and had to wipe her tears away. Rose approached a window and looked out it to see what enemies were around her and worse, if she recognized anyone among the dead. Regardless of what she saw she put her back against the wall and fell to a sitting position on the ground and started silently sobbing. When Gwen arrived in the room Rose would look up to her before putting her face back in her hands and crying some more. I-I'm sorry for running off. I was just worried. I hope Carp is safe...I feel like I've failed the town. I'm scared Gwen, everything feels like it's falling apart around me. Rose wiped her tears and wrapped her arms around her legs,, the sounds of the ogres drums echoing in her head as a reminder of all her failures.
When the orcs notice him, Cirrus darts his body behind the corner where they can't see him. He notices Appa preparing some kind of spell. He suspects the orcs will approach Appa, and he's going to try to set up a trap in case.
He's going to place a flask of oil on each corner of the building, placed such that they would not be immediately obvious from the perspective of the approaching orcs, and he will stand equidistant between both of them.
He will then wait until he sees two or three orcs appear from one of the corners (unless fewer than that notice him when they round the corner, in which case, he will take the action immediately). He will then run away (grabbing the unused flask on the way (unless grabbing it and running away would provoke an AoO)), cast heat metal on the flask that the triggering orcs are close to, thereby detonating it. If the orcs appear on both sides, he will prioritize detonating the side closer to Rose and Burgee.
Stealth: 8
Perception to keep an eye on both sides?: 22
(Orcs caught in the 20ft. radius centered on the flask must make a DC 15 Dex save or take 21 piercing damage, taking half as much on a successful save.)
(I feel like my wording was a little confusing, let me give an example: I see several orcs appear around the western corner of the house I'm standing at, I run towards the flask on the east side, grab it, keep running, and cast heat metal on the flask that is still hidden on the west side of the building, and the orcs who were near the flask in that moment get hurt.)
You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
Rose, through the window, can somewhat see what's going on since the angle is just right. She see's a small horde of the brutish creatures. Rose knew not all orcs were like this, she had seen civilized ones before, but this was a warband, led by a chieftain, and they had somehow employed the services of an ogre. She could see the cart that had been stolen, still in use, though limp on the ground, as they piled a few of the bodies onto it, likely to consume them later. Some bodies had been massacred in a fashion Cirrus might recognize though not because it was similar to the redbrands, as they wee impaled on broken shafts of wood that were set ablaze. Rose had a perfect view of a villager being eaten slowly. She didnt' see anyone she recogni.... pausing as she realizes that the one being eaten is the young and eager priestess of Tymora.. or at-least what was left of her.
It takes Gwen a few long moments more to get to the same place, having not had quite the head start that Rose had. Though Gwen didn't really know who the people were that Rose was so scared about, aside form the obvious, but somehow Gwen could tell it wasn't that. Entering the residence, and having to duck quite a bit as the door was meant for much shorter folks, and the compensatory height given for the off-chance that a larger being would enter was minimal. Luckily, once inside, it opened up enough that even she didn't have to crouch or bend. For a moment, Gwen just watches, trying to read Rose's reaction, in hopes of gleaning something.. anything. Finally, Rose slumped against the wall at the same moment Gwen more or less thinks she figures out what was wrong, and she was mad that she hadn't figured it out sooner, after knowing each-other for the last year or so.
Then Rose broke down., and Gwen felt her heart sink with care and pity. Rose... Don't apologize, it took a moment.. for it to click but. *sigh* I get it, I think. You've always been way softer than you let on, and you always care.. way too much.. she says with an awkward laugh, knowing her attempt at humor would probably go poorly. But that's also why I fell for you. she says, slowly moving in, and kneeling down, more for her own comfort. I'm sure h... they are. she says, pausing as she realizes she doesn't remember or know who carp is and whether they're a boy or a girl, as her mind is swirling trying to both comfort and not be wrong... There's no way you've failed anyone.... There was no way we could have known they were heading this way... Gwen either not remembering, or never having been aware in the first place about the billing of the orcish warband moving towards Phandalin that the townmaster had given to several people that were and weren't in the current group.
I mean look around us, it looks like immediate needs were grabbed... she says, motioning around her at the knocked over items on the ground And it looks like this place hasn't been touched yet, so whoever was here, has likely fled to somewhere safe. Rose admits her fear of failure and Gwen sighs once more but not out of annoyance, but understanding. Moving forward to pull rose into a hug, even as she wept. And I'm sure more got away.... even if a .. few are lost... Gwen broke, for just a moment, her lips frowning, and glad that Rose couldn't see it while in the embrace as her own doubts crept into her mind. B-b-but that just means we have to fight harder for those who may still be .. alive. And we don't have time... to be sad... or afraid... or those people ... depending on us right now.... Gwen was very faintly shaking might never be saved... Just like my mom, and dad.... and just like.. you know... We gotta .. be strong, for just a little llllllonger. Gwen squeezed Roses tiny frame hard, to the point she would feel the hug, even through her armor, planting a kiss on the top of Roses head.
At the first clear sign of an evacuation the rest of the search for Malman is halfhearted at best. As cold as it was to think, they shouldn't be wasting more time at the farm than necessary. But whoever was somehow important, so he stayed perhaps a few seconds more than what would've been preferred before focusing on seeking out Rose and Gwen, the latter having followed after more closely than he did so.
Then came the warhorn to banish all further concern. "No more time.." He thought, realizing only then that Cirrus and perhaps Burgee hand gone elsewhere. Malman almost yells up for those there, but choked back the urge. Another choice needed to be made. She... her and gwen were relatively safe. And they would be the surprise their foes wouldn't expect. Or so he mentally told himself as clutched tightly to the staff, and drew forth its power to turn every aspect of nature into a veil.
Afterwards, he would peek out a window ahead of time to make sure the way would be clear before keeping low and rope around behind buildings and hills on a gradual course for town hall. Without his beast forms the odds of facing an Ogre were painfully grim. And yet... and yet if he could remove that threat off the board and perhaps a few Orcs or Hobs as well, perhaps the odds better favor the odds. And then there was Cirrus, Burgee, and the Druid to at least, if nothing else, staff or no staff, ensure the invaders would not be leaving thoroughly unbroken for their transgression.
(To DM: Casting Pass Without Trace in advance of stealthing around the back way over to the Townhall if actually possible.)

Rose closed her eyes at seeing the priestess, though they had only met briefly, it was too much to take. Rose hadn't even known her long enough to remember her name yet that just made it all the worse for her. Gwens words brought some comfort to her but she couldn't shake the fact that if Rose hadn't chosed to spare the passing group earlier this couldn't be happening. The flow of tears seemed never ending and she voicenas much to Gwen. The priestess, those people, they are dead because I was too soft. I let them walk right passed us. Where else would they have gone? I'm so stupid!
It took Rose what felt like a long time to finally get out of her own head and listen to Gwen. She knew she was right. Every moment spent feeling sorry for herself just meant more needless slaughter. The sight of the town in flames, of the priestess being eaten, evoked now a different emotion. Her sadness gave way to a fury sent from Selûne herself. For the love and compassion Rose had shown earlier had been met with fire and blood and Selûne demanded vengeance. Y-you're right hun. Sitting around feeling sorry for myself won't do anything. I won't make the same mistake as last time. These bastards will pay for every death they've caused here today! Rose wiped away the last of her tears and grabbed her hammer before standing back up to look out the window, hoping to see if she could determine which one looked like it was leading this band of soon to be dead orcs.
Burgee arrives at the farmhouse just behind Gwen so gives her room to comfort Rose. His heart glad that Rose had that shoulder to cry on. But the sounds outside caught his attention and he peered through the window. Seeing the sled, his heart jumped. Perhaps the staff the druid sought was right here. He holds his glass staff and calls on its powers of protection then heads as close as he dare towards thr thugs. He ageless to overhear any conversation that may be useful for him to try to distract them away from the sled. If he could just find the druids staff... (Stealth: 12)
Cirrus, lucky enough not to be seen, and then afforded a proper distraction by Appa, as he slowly walked towards the group, seemingly unafraid. Sasha and her sister-druid seemed almost ready to join having caught most of their breath. The orcs seemed amused, and their drummer played ever harder. The ogre dropping what was left of his meal on the ground as if it were trash. The small horde approaching just as slowly at first but at the sound of another horn, they began to charge. Rose, whom had finally regained her composure, was let go by Gwen, turning to peek out the window. However, between her tears, the distance, and her own lack of height, she couldn't see much beyond the first row of orcs. Though logically, the leader would be somewhere in between them all, or behind the main group somewhere. Maybe you're right, maybe you're not hun. But at the time, it seemed prudent, we were tired, and didn't know what we were going to face. But I'm glad you're back. Not that I'm one to talk, spider fear n' all. B-but yeah... I may not have known these people, but they were still people. And no one should have to suffer like this.. Lets just hope more made it out than didn't.
The motes of energy that had been forming on the druid began to glow white hot. At that same time, the horde began to charge, the massive group seeking the glory of killing this lone being. Cirrus could see Appa's face well enough. Appa didn't even seem the slightest bit afraid. Several of them came around the eastern corner, where Appa approached from, and as he had planned, he ran for the other flask, and detonated the other with heat metal. It took three seconds before the detonation took place. The orcs on the western side of the unit take the hit. Orcs 1/2 feel the blazing heat from the explosion as the tiny shards of metal cut into them but they both somehow managed to not get severely hurt. Orcs 5/6 take the majority of the blow as the metal shreds their flesh, collapsing to their knees as they both trip and rolls over, bleeding profusely, barely managing to get back on their feet, and looking dazed and confused.
The rest of the orcs aren't hit as they are too far outside the blast radius, and what would have hit them, hit their allies instead. The horde stops to look in the direction the explosion had come from, and spit Cirrus running away from them, crying out that there's 'another one.'
However, in that moment of distraction, Appa had finished preparing his spell, and the world went silent for several long moments, even the shouting of the orcs couldn't be heard as it seemed as though all oxygen had been pulled from the area, when Appa put out his hand, and clenched it into a fist, all the energy he had built up coalesced above the orcs heads, and after the briefest flash of a moment, in the hordes place stood what appeared like a miniature sun, followed by a brilliant flash of light that was nearly blinding to those outside of it, and suddenly cries could be heard. from inside of it. And just as swiftly as it had appeared, it was gone, leaving any who had been looking in that direction with sun-spots in their eyes, though not blinded.
And once it disappeared, only the ogre and the likely-leader appeared. The rest of the orcs ... were simply gone.... as if they had spontaneously combusted in that instant, not a trace of armor, flesh, or bone remained. The skin on the ogre and the leader seemed heavily singed. Looking around, seeing his entire force save himself and the ogre had been.. utterly annihilated. However, a mad smirk appears on his face as he looks at the druid before him. Ha! If they die so easy, they not worth feeding anyway. But you... Finally, a worthy foe.... Untak'dil, let us crush this wood-mater. We have time. He take long to cast, he vulnerable. The orc cheiftan pulls out a two-handed war-hammer, fitted with a single spike on the flat of each side. The cheiftan lets out a hoary battle cry, and the ogre follows suit, raising its club as they both charge forward. The warcheif gets just within range, whole the ogre tries to follow the noise, but veers off course, still blinded but the Sunburst's effects... directly in cirrus' direction, making it to within 20 feet of him.
During all this, Malman had managed to sneak around to be about 40 feet away from the cheiftan, but is angularly-behind him, and unseen. Burgee has a similar idea, but with a different intent. Luckily, the staff had been out of range of the spell, it was about 60 feet away, where the orcs had been, just to the left of the townmasters hall. If burgee made a run for it with the cheiftan distracted he might be able to make it undetected.
Party is up, combat has officially started. The druid and cheiftan are roughly in front of "Harbins house" which is about 50 feet away from the farm, 60 feet of movement is required to leave the house and make it to the cheiftan on foot, but he is only 50 feet away from the outside corrner.
Malman is a little ways north of "Harbins House" as is Burgee though he's 10 feet closer to the house itself. Cirrus is about where the 'r' is in 'woodworker' and the ogre thats unintentionally pursuing him is between where he was and is.
As the explosion distracts the last two standing and all eyes are on Cirrus and the druid, Burgee catches a glimpse of the druids staff and takes his chance to run toward the tavern to grab it. He keeps his eyes cut sharply on the leader and looks for the shortest path to get the staff back to its owner before it's too late.
OOC: Will need to know distance from Burgee to Druid for next few turns until staff is returned.

Rose wonders why a home build for halflings would have the window so high up for a brief moment before having to turn away from the bright light. Looking back once the light fades to see only two enemies alive Rose quietly decides she best remember the power of druids in the future. Turning back to Gwen Rose gives her a quick hug before saying. Well...I think this just got easier but these opponents are still not pushovers of they survived that. I'll push forward, you stay back and pick them off from a distance. In fact, these guys don't loom to bright, I'm sure you're magic might be more effective against these two more than anything. (Mind sliver at whatever lvl dm would like) Rose waits just long enough for an reply before kissing Gwen and charging forward, hammer and sheild in hand, heading for the boss. Rose would get right up in his grill, only jjst being able to reach him with her tiny legs. You bastards think because you're so big you can do whatever you want! I'll show you just how little you are!

Cirrus looks back from running and is briefly surprised that his flask was that powerful, but then realizes that it's more likely the power Appa used to obliterate the doppelspider. He then sees the ogre blindly stumbling toward him. He doesn't know for sure if Appa actually is vulnerable at this moment, but just to be safe, Cirrus will run east, try to be 60 ft. away from the chieftain, and cast heat metal on his Warhammer (but if he's wearing armor, I will 100% cast it on that).
The orc immediately takes damage, and must make a DC 13 CON Save. If he fails, he must drop the Warhammer immediately. If he succeeds, he may choose whether or not he drops the item. If he is holding the weapon, all attack he makes with it have disadvantage.
I will then give a bardic Inspiration to Rose, since she's nearby.
Also if the chieftain rolls an 18+ on anything until my next turn, I will use Cutting Words (not including a roll that is ignored bc of disadvantage).
Heat Metal damage: 12
Cutting Words: subtract 4 from the orc's roll, if applicable
You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
Although Malman has half a mind to rush out of cover after seeing the bright light beyond the buildings, he instead continued to sneak along the back and hope the others could handle another delay on his part. The lack of drumming and diminished shouts from any extra Orcs gave him hope. But, he would not labor under the assumption all had been wiped. There could yet be even more elsewhere in town, pinning down what remnants of townfolk were around!
(Assume Malman is using his action to "dash" as he steadily gets closer. If he can't while moving stealthily for whatever reason, then no action out of Malman other than moving closer to the Townhall/Orc chieftan stealthily.)

Burgee, seeing his chance to move while the resilient orc engages the arch-druid, Appa. He rushes forward, self-assured that the combat, and the lack of visibility belied any need for stealth. Moving a full 60 feet closer to the cart, he finds himself just to the north-east of the now destroyed, tiny, yellow-roofed building, another dash would get him to the cart so close to the blaze with enough energy left to catch it, putting him about 120 feet away from the current position of the Orc, and 140ish away from the ogre, who is also unseen behind the building.
Back in the farmhouse, Gwens grip loosens as Rose makes it clear she wants free. And nearly at the same time, is when the 'sun' itself made an appearance, nearly blinding her, though luckily it had a significantly more drastic effect on the ogre. As she blinked away spots, By the divine.... what the hell was that?! she said, just before Rose made her declaration. Nodding quickly, without responding, only for another sudden kiss, not that Gwen minded it in the slightest, she was simply caught off guard. Though Gwen does return it, offering a proud smile. As rose bore into the fray, Gwen moved outside and within range. Instead of pulling out her weapon, she focused entirely on her limited spell-casting ability, and within a moment a twitch was seen on the orcs face, causing him to flinch even as he was in the middle of pressing his own attack on the arch-druid, who though on the back-foot, didn't even seem the least bit pressured, all while the orc didn't even seem to care that Rose was there, though he did notice her arrival.
Cirrus is running comically away from the ogre, as it bumbles in his general direction, though the creature is clearly still blinded by the light and doesn't even seem to notice Cirrus' sudden change of direction as it wildly flails its club in front of it, simply hoping to hit something, and utterly ignoring the orc. As Cirrus notices this, he takes the time to weave words together as his mother wove threads, and Rose feels like she can really do this further enhancing her confidence. A moment later, spotting that the warchief is actually wearing chainmail, cirrus would finally get to try that thing he's always wanted to do.... and within a moment, the sizzling sound of flesh is heard, and while not crying out in agony, muffled 'roars' and grunts can be heard, in the vein of someone in pain, attempting to suppress its efficacy. Cirrus finding his positioning to be somewhere between halfway to the Alderleaf house, between there and the stone-fence to the south.
Malman manages to sneak up nearly as fast as Burgee, who was now a few feet ahead of him. Though he does, out of the corner of his eye, catch a flash of movement to the north-east, in the direction of the manor, which was also ablaze.
In a near frenzy, the warchief showed fearsome prowess with his heavy weapon, as his entire assault focused on the powerful-being before him. The warchief completely ignoring Roses words, as he deemed her insignificant. While the first attack would have landed harshly against the druids gut in an underhand-strike, Cirrus stepped in with a distraction, it seemed only a moment before the next attack was coming, and Rose witnessed a grace, it seemed as if the druid were dancing in some ritualistic fashion as he evaded every, single, blow with the grace of a grand-master monk, before landing a closed-fisted slam against the back of the orcs head, nearly knocking the orc off-balance.
The ogre continues running south-westish, completely blind and oblivious to its surroundings.
Party is up. Burgee is 60 feet from his target. Malman is 50 feet from the warcheif and spotted movement to the north-east. Cirrus is between the farmhouse/stone fence and his armor is heated. The orc missed every single attack, and was whacked by the druid. The other druids will be joining the combat on the next player turn. The ogre is effectively useless and out of the fight.
Bit of re writing history here: I'd like to sat that the music Cirrus sings during this part sounds something like this...
As he casts the spell, he says "Now here's your chance to get the best of me, hope your hand the best of me, hope your hand is hot." one of the orc's metal gauntlet's does indeed begin to heat up, nd that heat quickly spreads to his entire body. And perhaps the cutting words he said earlier were "come on clown, let's see what you've got!"
((fun fact, I thought the fight with the spider would last longer, so this is the song that I thought Cirrus would sing during he fight to create a sense of a duel between spell casters.))
Bonus action: deal more damage to Orc by concentrating on Heat Metal. He won't be letting this go until this orc is char-grilled.
The Orc Chieftain take an additional 12 damage as his chainmail continues to sear his flesh.
He is going to shout a tune at the orc: "You think your cat's a meanie, but your tiger's tame. You got a lot to learn about the DJINI GIG." Cirrus taunts as he flaunts his extraplanar heritage, blasting his mind with a Vicious Mockery"So for your education, I'll reiterate: you're only second rate!"

Cirrus stealth: 9
Counter roll 15

Occassional Dungeon Master.

(dashing to get up to dickwad)

Occassional Dungeon Master.
You got a lot to learn about the DJINI GIG." Cirrus taunts as he flaunts his extraplanar heritage, blasting his mind with a Vicious Mockery "So for your education, I'll reiterate: you're only second rate!"
(DC 13 WIS Save, or take 3 psychic damage and have disadvantage on his next attack roll)
Also if the chieftain rolls an 17+ on anything until my next turn, I will use Cutting Words. "Did you seriously miss every swing? Talk about WEAK!"
Cutting Words: 2
You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
