(That awkward moment when I'm forgetting names and mixing up Lark and Hark from two different campaigns)
Rose chuckles a bit at Paavus teasing of Lark but otherwise remains quiet, allowing them to have their fun. Rose instead enthusiastically eats whatever food she was able to order and waits for the last of their party to arrive. When asked about a provisioner however Rose shakes her head "Nope, not quite familiar with the town yet. But I'll follow you guys around until we find one. I could use a few things for the road. A bedroll and some rations for any journey of length would be nice. Other than that however I believe I'm all set and so am content to follow."
Burgee awoke to a thud! His own thud in fact from crashing out of the bed onto the floor. "Ow," he said as he rubbed his shoulder. Then quickly added "Ugh..." as he rubbed his head. Looks like you'd learn, he thought to himself. He stood slowly, and slightly off balance and peered around the room. Somehow, though he traveled lightly, almost every possession he had seemed to be strewn about the small room. "Heh," a small chuckle came from his belly, "Hope you found a flagon too my friend," he said to a distant friend, "wherever you are." His mood darkened a bit. "I do hope you're safe Era," he added. He took a moment to remember his friend but as he was sinking into thought, the present came abruptly upon him. "Last night!" he exclaimed to himself, "They were in need of help!" He looked out of the window to see the sun was well risen, "Hurry now, don't want to miss them!" So he threw on his red coat and grabbed his gear as quickly as he could, and started hurrying down toward the main hall hoping to find the others and as he enters the room he is relieved to find the group still there.
"Sorry I've risen so late. I hope I have not caused any delay," he said to them. He looked over towards Rose and his voice became that of a properly educated lord, "And many thanks to you my fine lady," and he nodded his head in thanks to her, "I thank you for helping a lost soul find his way last night. I feel I may have celebrated a little more than I should have." And with that he rubbed his head again. "I'll do better to keep my wits about me henceforth."
Looking back towards the others he continued in the more comfortable sounds of the sailors of his youth, "I'm a bit fuzzy on the particulars, but as I recall there was someone you all felt was in need of assistance at a castle? What preparations are needed?"

The food is served as everyone gathers around the table trickling in one or two at a time. It seems the breakfast was complimentary and whole much smaller than the feast from the day before, was prepared with no-less care. And smelled atleast as delicious if not moreso. Those whom had consumed the ale while the alcoholic effects had worn off, their guts still felt the warmth in a way that felt odd as if it was keeping an internal fire going that soothed the muscles and allowed the blood to flow more freely. The breakfast consisted of thin steak slices covered in peppered steak with a sweet smelling sauce akin to A1. The eggs were fluffy and full, stacked high, but aside from this, there was no other food on each plate. Water and Milk were options for drinks, though obviously ale could be ordered as well.
There were no other patrons in the establishment today, just Harbin and his staff who were taking full advantage of that fact to clean every nook that normally there was no time for. He would nod to each if they looked in his direction but he seemed a man focused on his task. His eyes would still linger on Paavu but with much less animus than the day before, perhaps due to the food he had brought in and how much money the special meal had brought. Outside it was bustling a little more than Lark remembered when he first came into town. And Salazar wherever he was would notice this as well.
In response to Larks comment though, Harbin would be sure to let him know Oh indeed you did... You were hitting on Satella over there in the blue dress, and making quite the spectacle. You nearly had her heart when of all things you asked her to bed you! while on one knee! While I realized you were likely asking for her hand.. everyone else was awestruck by your boldness, and poor Satella had to flee in shame! After that you assailed poor uh.. Droop? was it? slamming him against the walls and making-out for all to see! before finally heading off to the rooms to do whom knows what by yourself!
Even as he said this, Satella ran from the room, covering her face, soft-wailing her embarrassment. (Performance: 20)
meanwhile rose can see that the light of Selune on the party only grew ever more - Before finally fading. As Selune knew that Rose had understood its purpose. And the blessing of the light was no longer needed.
Lark babbles, "I.. uhh...we.. uhh ...well, I wouldn't ....you know.. How could.... but that means...." before slinking back down onto the stool. Shaking his head, he says into the bar top, "Im leaving this part out of my book."
He smiles weakly and says, "I should apologize to...uh... her name was... uh Satella, yeah... maybe in a letter. We should go. Yes, that's for the best." He squirms visibly.
7insight just in case but that was convincing lol.
(To Ianth: That reminds me. Is Lark a green, orange, or red goblin?)
After having his own clear bullshit get seen through, a nonetheless chuckling Paavu turns on Burgee. There is less wariness than the previous evening in either action or visage. But, Burgee might notice him occasionally keeping track of wherever the Kenku's hands were at times. "It is as little flower says. We find provisioned in town. We get provisions -- Food, Winter Clothing, Tents or blankets as well. Paavu only need grab hunting knife. Not much coin on hand for more. But you lot need other things, so Paavu not need to bury frozen corpse later."He stated frankly.
"This little one here--"He gestures to Lark. "Not seem know where things is either other than castle. Once have things though, we go to castle. We find person. We save person. Then, we take person here. Maybe we smash heads there while at it." He admits frankly before turning and calling out, "Oi! Tavern Master? You know where things around town is, yes? You direct us?" He asked plainly of toblen.
Harbin laughs at Larks reaction but hides it as best he could, pretending it to be a fit of coughing, as it was meant to just be a play on the town hero, a rib, and a jest, but he hadn't quite expected such a visceral reaction. Satella in the back was giggling as well, while the other two maids looked around confusedly, as they hadn't been in on the joke. One of them shooting Lark a pitying glance like 'poor guy'
Soon enough Paavu asks Harbin about locations around town he scratches his chin. Eh... Depends on what you're looking for. I don't know how familiar you are around town, but there's Barthens Provisionsover yonder across the green. He sells most travelling supplies and sundries. If you need travelling supplies or the like he's your man. Armor and weaponry... At the Lionshield Coster. I'm sure you or atleast Lark there... already know where you can go for some good vegetables, but don't take too much as winter is setting in and he can't grow this time of year. But he always has some to spare. The rest of the town is residential or governmental. Outside of a few trinket shops you may be able to peruse. But they are mostly common items like forks and such. But you never know, you may find a treasure hidden away once in a while! Aside from that thats about all there is left, except the manor and nobody lives there at the moment.
Rose gives Lark a pat on the back and with a very serious face says "Its okay my friend. We all do crazy things sometimes. Though in this case the details are best left..vague. Regardless if we are all ready I say we pick up what we need and head out. The longer we wait the longer an innocent person remains in danger." Assuming theres no complaint Rose will wait for the others to be ready and make for the provisioners shop.
21:Deception
(Rose's shopping list is simple. Bedroll and 8 days of rations other than that shell just follow people around until they are all set)
Paavu nods and after taking out some parchment and charcoal pencil to notate, only follows up with inquiries on directions to Barthen at least befroe rising up ready to go. "You have this one thanks, Tavern Master. May the day give you challenges, but will remain unbending." Acknowledging Barthen with a final smile, he would linger only long enough to see bird and goblin make ready to leave as well, before taking point on the shopping trip; starting with Barthen's shop, then moving on to the Lioncoaster if any still required more by that point.
(Unless Lark hands out the pouches, Paavu's shopping list is a Two Person Tent, Dagger, and 6 more days of rations.)

Must land on either 30-40 or 60-70 any other number means its not there. +1 items, quadruple the base value if it's a weapon, double if it's armor to speed 'shopping' along)
Burgee, noticing how Paavu gives him awkward glances, takes the opportunity to learn more about the hulk. "Might I accompany you good sir?" he asks of Paavu. "I've rations enough for a few days, and no need of other devices, but would welcome the chance to learn more about you and help you if I may." He doesn't mention that he spent all but the last few of his coins on the first nights good rest he's had in some while. The previous evenings festivities warmed his heart and re-energized him and he was ready for a new day and a new adventure, and mostly, to see if he could find the secrets of flight.

The corner of Paavu's lips tilt towards a frown when Burgee initially spoke to him. Yet, after a short while of appearing to mull over the request, the Goliath sighs and dons his helmet, obscuring his face once more in shadows and metal. "....Paavu appreciates, though never understood why lowlanders like shiny rocks so much." He states, accepting the stoin, but appearing to brush aside Burgee's request. "But Paavu put to good use. Maybe find better armor for little Olive."
Chuckling, he finally turns back to Burgee and stares for a long moment, but without breaking his stride. ".... Paavu will be frank. Not trust Kenku. But not being fair, Paavu supposes. Rose listens intently to the story about Paavu wrestling the hill giant, finding it to be a very exciting tale as she does with most tales about feats of strength. Though upon arriving at the Coster she looks over the wares. She admires a set of plate armor but quickly laments the fact that she could not afford such a lovely set and instead looks for a new hammer.

Rose's eyes fall upon a beautiful Warhammer on display. For a while she just stares at it quickly doing math in her head. Selûne thank you for leading me here! Rose offers the two gemstones Salazaar gave her in trade as well as her older warhammer in exchange for the new one. One settled here she buys 8 more days of rations and a bedroll and is ready to go. Rose simply follows the others humming a tune as she admires the latest edition of Kneecapper.
Just as soon as everyone appeared to be fairly done with their shopping, Paavu turns to the midget brigade and said, "That should do it, then. Little olive is ready to lead to castle? Can... ride on Paavu's shoulder, if think help, and worried of getting hurts."He suggested; a bit awkwardly there, but genuine. "No more business in town left, yes? We go now?"

"What? No shoulder for me gov'ner?" Burgee chimes in with is best cockney accent and then gives a slight chuckle. "You need not worry about ol' Burgee mate," he adds, "If I were interested in swiping your things, you'd be the last to know," and he let out a bigger laugh. "I jest with you big guy. I quest for flight. I doubt that is hiding amongst your belongings."
He gets slightly more serious as the wish goes through his mind and he drifts back to the old woman who gave him the staff he carries. She'd hinted that there were secrets to be discovered, secrets that could be used to help him restore flight to his people. But where and how to find those escaped the flightless bird. He knew something else was missing, but could not put together the thoughts to bring the puzzle together. He shrugged himself from his thoughts back to the present and looks up at Rose. "How's the view up there lass? With such a perch and you a sharp eye, we should be in good shape to begin our journey. Lead on!"

Rose looked to Lark for directions since, even vague ones, since she wasn't sure which way to go. Assuming he simply pointed out the way Rose yells "Onward then!" Leading the charge of sorts Rose takes off towards the direction of the castle (maybe). "Any idea how long of a journey we should expect?" Rose waited for Larks reply and regardless if he knew or not she continued marching forward humming a tune the whole while.

As those of the group made their way to the shop, Mr. Barthen greets them all with a welcoming smile. Hello! Hello! It's nice to see you all. What can I help you with today? each person seeming to come in with a shopping list in mind, as they quickly rattled it off. Assisting them in finding each or supplying it from his stock within the shop. Most of the items were mundane, however, Rose's eye was caught by the scintillating weapon the old man would smile... Ah, you spotted her eh? This old girl used to belong to my wife. She was quite the fighter in her day, but chose this weapon over a sword or axe. She spent her time on adventures improving its solidity, and even added a groove to the hammer-flat. Creating these small, sharp points you see here... She's a fine piece of work, but I think she'd want her weapon to be free, instead of cooped up in a dusty ol' shop. He does seem a little reluctant and somber but he smiles despite it.
Regardless, he throws in a special holster for the weapon for free, before waving you all a farewell and wishing you all luck. Eyes locked on the weapon until it was out of sight.
The party makes their way to the north side of town, following the road until they reach the Triboar trails beginning. Having a small discussion before mounting atleast one party member on Paavu's shoulder. The snow had covered the road but the split in the tree's for now, made it easier to see where the road was. Everyone merrily heading along the trail, exited to be out in the crisp cold, mid morning air.

Lark politely declined the ride, quietly mumbling something about motion sickness not improving his situation. He was very attentive during Paavu's story. Even once looked to have a question forming on his lips, but a pained grimace followed quickly and he swallowed it. Apparently Dwarvish ale had quite the effect as Lark remains pretty quiet through the first leg of the journey.
He perks up a little as night begins to fall. "I liked your story Paavu. The one about the hill giant. I think with a bit of polish it could shine in the retelling. Ever think of making it a fire giant you wrestled? T'would add some flair." Lark grins up at the goliath. Then he wanders off to gather some firewood. Anyone nearby can hear Lark rattling off rhyming words. "Giant, defiant..oooh compliant...hmmmm"

(not much else I can do here until the party decides on further courses of action! will add fluff post for purchases when applicable.)

Just as soon as everyone appeared to be fairly done with their shopping, Paavu turns to the midget brigade and said, "That should do it, then. Little olive is ready to lead to castle? Can... ride on Paavu's shoulder, if think help, and worried of getting hurts." He suggested; a bit awkwardly there, but genuine.
