The wolf is picked up by Paavu as him and Rose both begin to help break camp. The wolf remaining unconscious but alive, and Rose donning her armor. Lark and Burgee both helping with the days rations cooking over the remainder of the fire as everyone ate their breakfasts. Bandaging the beast as best he could. The group eventually travelling once more, following the triboar trail further north. The wind had picked up, howling it's misery across the land with a cold winters bite. The road was long but mostly even and straight, aside from the occasional rock in the road. It seemed there were no peddlers or traders traversing the trail and the road was lonely. Atleast until after a quarter day of walking, far ahead on the road, two, large brown lumps seemed to be gathered in the center of the road. Further down the road, was a square, brown lump. As it got closer... it became apparent the square lump was a cart of some sort. While the two rounder lumps, seemed to have heads, and they were eating a small, dark thing on the road.
So far, neither of the two roundish lumps have taken notice of anyone, as the party is still some distance away from either.
(Paavu can decide if the wolf takes the potion or not)
As the tree begins trembling from the soundwave, Burgee mumbles a few more words and a soft gust of air surrounds him and he floats down to the ground near Paavu and Rose. He looks at the wolf and then at the destruction. Scratching his head, he lets out an awkward chuckle, "Heh... Guess I need to be careful with that. It's sure more than I was expecting. Is everyone ok?" He shakes his head and runs his thumb over a nearby symbol on his staff, where did she find this stick?, he asks himself. Continuing on with the others he adds "I'll try to be mindful of my surroundings before unleashing that again."
Continuing to take in the scene as they begin to move out from camp he thinks back to the old woman who gave him the staff. She'd told him to keep it close. But never revealed any special properties. He'd always just thought it a nice gift. He fell in line with the others as the traveled down the road, his mind wandering and thinking back through distant memories.

Paavu had to squint to be certain. For while his people carried with them always a certain fortitude against the cold, they were susceptible to the rigors of time as anyone else. Even before he has made out the shapes, his eyes go wide as the scene triggers something in mind. Before anyone can see anything, he curtly holds up a hand to the others to wait, and motions for them to be quiet. "Bears. Up ahead. Brown ones too. Tough to deal with. Far more dangerous." He whispered, and then looks off to the side of something before turning back to the others with a shake of his head.

Lark springs into action, Spinning a tale about a goblin and an owlbear who's love was just never meant to be.... casting Viscous Mockery on the one Paavu seemed to be focusing on! 19 the Owlbear flinching as it feels all 4 damage impact it's mind. Giving Burgee some encouraging words to make him feel better about his far off miss... (bardic inspiration)
Rose and Paavu leading the charge, but the owlbears hide deflects both of their attacks, likely much to their surprise. Burgee winds up for another firebolt! Attack: 12 Damage: 1 missing again but much closer as the bolt itself sputters out just before impact....
The owlbears aren't backing down, seeing as these opponents seem to be missing only bolsters their bravado.
The one Rose had attacked turns its attention to her, attempting to swat her like a fly
OB1 Claw: Attack: 14 Damage: 13Bite: Attack: 8 Damage: 13 but the other laser chicken had moved closer without it realizing, as it's claws rake into it's shoulder, causing it to cry out in pain.
The one that was just attacked, still decides to pursue Paavu despite it. Leveraging a volley of limbs
OB1 Claw: Attack: 14 Damage: 18Bite: Attack: 10 Damage: 7 the attacks bouncing off him like nothing. The whole scene would be hilarious to anyone watching if anyone were watching. As two immovable objects attempted to ram each other.
The owlbear taking a retaliatory strike against Paavu (DAO) Attack: 16 Damage: [roll](if([roll:-1:critical], =0, 2d8, 2{2d8}.expand(

Finally landing a blow, as his claws rake across Paavu's upper inner thigh. (11) but somehow fails to cut deeply (1 damage)
A rustle from the tree's is heard, as the combat has drawn the attention of another type of creature, as well as the smell of blood.... Four tiny figures dart in from the forest, each seeking a different target...
Burgee: Attack: 7 Damage: 5
Paavu: 23 Damage: 6
Lark: 19 Damage: 6
Rose: 14 Damage: 7
The stirge meatpacking Paavu finds his flesh touch to pierce and takes flight again flitting around his head within five feet like a mosquito looking for a soft spot. Large deftly dodging out of the way. whole Rose is protected by her shield from the angle of attack. All of them flitting about their respective targets. Burgee however, so distraught by his sudden failures fails to notice as the stirges needle-like proboscis pierces his neck, and starts to drink...
Frustrated that owl bear shrugged off her attack Rose tightens her grip for another go when she feels the stirge trying to find a chink in her armor. Rose looks over to Paavu, only just noticing that he seemed much larger than she remembered. Whoa big guy, did I get smaller? Ah damed bug..bat...thing...Back Off!. Rose touches hee holy symbol as she shouts the final words and radiant energy burst forth from her person in sudden and burning flash.

Paavu growls as much out of frustration at the bear before him, as it was at the bug now flitting about his head. "Away with you, bugger! Ya wan't blood! Go to corpse! Or better yet!" He winds up for yet another overhand slam into owlbear skull. For a brief moment however, time almost stops from the goliath's perspective. Within it, he still thought freely, and could just make out a sort of projection of where his arm needed to move to deliver the most damage.
Seizing the moment, time resumes as he corrects his course mid-swing so that, even in the event of the beast moving its head, the still spinning flail would come right back up and into its chin! "Burgee! If you or little green can remove buggers all at once, it would be most appreciated!"
Reaction: Uvar rune on next attack, granting advantage.

A blinding flash of umbral radiance exudes from Rose as an explosion of holy power radiates around her. Seemingly harmless to her allies, but both stirges near Her and Paavu vanish in a flash, their bodies being transformed into stars before rocketing towards the sky in a vermilion blaze. The owlbear farthest from her recoiling and screeching in it's high-pitched roar before growling at Rose angrily, both of their attentions now focused on her instead of the giant before them.
Now free fro harassment by the mosquito-like stirge, Paavu focused all his power and skill into a strike of the flail, landing squarely on the owlbears head, forcing it's head to the ground with the impact, even if only for a moment, blood trickling out of it's skull but the owlbear hardly seemed worse for wear; if anything only making it angrier out of instinct and survival.
In a raw display of power normally unbecoming of a mage.. Burgee, annoyed with the little shit sucking his blood, grabs it, and crushes it like a barbarian might crush a soft peach. His own blood, and the stirges gore exploding from between his fingers and spattering the area around him with it.
Lark, not wanting to be outdone after such a display and the need to 'blow em all up' no longer being a concern.. He looks around a moment, deciding what would be best....Finally deciding on a course of action, as he whips out his crossbow, already loaded, as a bard has to be prepared afterall! And after performing a series of completely unnecessary dodge rolls, Fires at the other bugbear with the stinging bolt....
Attack: 5 Damage: 6)
The annoyance enough to change the owlbears focus... to a certain little green...

OB1, still focusing now on Rose, rises up on it's hind legs before bringing it's paw to bear, razor claws ready to slash....
Attack: 23 Damage: 10 and the blow lands with stunning accuracy and power.... Slamming Roses face hard against the dirt on the ground.
Emboldened by its success, the owlbear attempts to bite that soft spot just above the armor, of Roses neck.
Attack: 24 Damage: 15 missing it due to her size, and biting into the armor instead.
The stirge around lark, having been left alone, goes in for another dive...
Attack: 25 Damage: 9
Apparently in all that rolling... the stirge manages to get in a solid dive, latching itself to Larks cheek as its needle-mouth pierces it and his tongue, to drain blood from it.
OB2 charging away from both Paavu and Rose to barrel down on lark, it's razorsharp owl-maw bearing down on the guy....
Attack: 22 Damage: 16 / Attack: 15 Damage: 10
the clawed hand slamming into larks side, but causing the beak to miss....
Players are up - sorry for botting you lark but i'm gonna do it every extended period so you wont have to worry about slowing!

Rose reels back from the claws as they cut through her flesh harder than expected. She laughs excitedly as a large grin appears on her bloody face. My auntie hits harder than you ya dumb beast! Rose strikes the beast in another uppercut motion gripping the hammer with both hands
(DAO) Attack: 16 Damage: 6
Rose then let's one hand go free from the hammers grip as she reaches out to grab any part of the bear she can, her hand coated is dark, necrotic energy (2nd lvl). Attack: 6 Damage: 17Come to mama bear little cub! Paavu, help me with this one yeah? Then we go save Hark from becoming a snack.
Rose will then draw her sheild after letting go of the owlbear, bracing herself for another blow

Paavu has to blink several times to get over the bright flash. By the time he appears to recover, the goliath is both surprised and not by the change of positions. At the sight of Lark in danger in particularly, he lets out a guttural growl and looked about ready to charge in that direction. In fact, unless Rose failed to slay her foe, only that stays his hand long enough to turn on the creature, foreseeing the exact angle by which he should strike, before bringing the flail down. Otherwise, the one that dared to 'flee' his reach is delivered a like blow to the flank.
Reaction: Uvar rune on next attack, granting advantage.
Action:Give'm Da Flail. To Hit: 23 For: 8 non-magical bludgeoning damage on OB1(or if dead, OB2 instead).

The weapon hits home but still seems to barely have an effect, however when the nexrotic energy flows out and into the bear, it seems to shrivel to half of it's former glory..., appearing emaciated, and dried out. It's muscles seeming to wither. But somehow the creature is still standing... even though severely weakened. The color on the owlbears fur is horribly discolored and matted.
Paavu following up with another attack, that brings the owlbear to its knee's, suddenly feeling as though it's life is truly in danger... its growls and hoots are weak as blood trickles out from its dry, tearing skin.
Lark, reels from the blow that was delivered, and his adrenaline kicked in, nimbly disengaging away from the owlbird before it could followup again, and seeing the first ursvian on it's last knee's, considers attacking it, but.. feeling weak from the stirge draining his blood... runs slightly closer the group where the weakened owlbear was, and cast sleep in the area.... trusting his companions would be fine.... but trying to limit the targets to just the bear and himself and the stirge... shouting Get the other one! just before the bear, the stirge, and.. Lark himself, fall asleep...
Burgee balks at the entire situation as Lark all but kamikaze's himself, but .. to great effect... Seeing that there is only one target left, Burgee focuses himself, getting a few feet closer before an arc of lightning strikes out at the owlbea that was still awake. the spell missing as it grounds itself into the dirt. Feeling frustrated with this, the air around burgee shifts and bends as he casts it again... but it too, grounds into the dirt.... (dude wtf is up with these rolls..)
The stirge and the owlbear sleep peacefully on the ground, blood softly ripping from Larks neck where the stirge popped out of.
The one remaining bear.... 4 seeing it's mate down... with Paavu nearby, and Lark seemingly dead, charges Paavu again, ignoring sparky in the corner

OB1 Claw: Attack: 14 Damage: 13 Bite: Attack: 8 Damage: 13 but the other laser chicken had moved closer without it realizing, as it's claws rake into it's shoulder, causing it to cry out in pain.
The one that was just attacked, still decides to pursue Paavu despite it. Leveraging a volley of limbs
OB1 Claw: Attack: 14 Damage: 18 Bite: Attack: 10 Damage: 7 the attacks bouncing off him like nothing. The whole scene would be hilarious to anyone watching if anyone were watching. As two immovable objects attempted to ram each other.
The owlbear taking a retaliatory strike against Paavu (DAO) Attack: 16 Damage: [roll](if([roll:-1:critical], =0, 2d8, 2{2d8}.expand(
((OOC dunno what happened there... Rerolling: Attack: 17 Damage: 8))

(Targeting each enemy within 5ft of me: con save dc 13)
Action: Give'm Da Flail.
To Hit: 26 For: 20 non-magical bludgeoning damage on OB1.
(Do to use the rune this turn, Paavu doesn't have a reaction until his next turn)

"What the?" Burgee exclaims as the sharp pain in his neck removes his focus from the owl bears. He swats at the small creature trying to grab the creature with a little bit of extra energy delivered to the beast. (Attack: 21 Damage: 5)

Due to stupid dice manipulation BS posting the enemy half in another post.

Attack: 6 Damage: 17 Come to mama bear little cub! Paavu, help me with this one yeah? Then we go save Hark from becoming a snack.
Rose will then draw her sheild after letting go of the owlbear, bracing herself for another blow
(All above against OB1 btw)
Action: Give'm Da Flail.
To Hit: 23 For: 8 non-magical bludgeoning damage on OB1(or if dead, OB2 instead).

Lark - Sleep spell: 23
Burgee witch bolt: Attack: 9 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
Try2: Attack: 6 Damage: 8
BB2 @ Paavu: Attack: 18 Damage: 14
Attack: 26 Damage: 15
It's claw missing the mark, but it's beak biting deep into Paavu's thigh for (13)
