As Rose moves out of the way of the Gricks grasp she curses at the ugly creature. Rose circles around to be behind the ugly thing as to make room for the others and then with both hands lowers her mighty hammer on the worm
I don't know if it's possible, but I'd like to make a perception check for the source of the drumming: 20
Cirrus is startled by the creature's sudden appearance and anyone who understands Primordial can hear him cursing. While he fumbles to pull out his swords, he does something strange that seems at first to be a silly looking waste of time, he puffs up his cheeks, then blows out a long breath at the creature. The trick must make a DC 13 CON save or belevitated 20 ft. into the air.
You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
As Rose just barely dodges out of the way before the tentacles lashed onto her tiny limbs, Paavu reacting on instinct. His morning-star coming down hard onto thin air, the grick easily dodging out of the way with it's serpentine body, roiling in every direction, making it hard to pinpoint exactly where it was going to be at any given moment. Burgee however, took a moment and watched the undulations before aiming at a central point so that maybe.. just maybe it would 'swing' back into it.. and his guess was right, the fire igniting, and licking against the gricks flesh, the entire room illuminating brightly for a moment, before the motions of the grick itself put the flames out. Rose's hammer takign advantage of the momentary slowness to cap the gricks 'knee' it nearly coiling around her arm in response, but she manages to pull back before it can.
Huffing and puffing, but not quite blowing the house down, the air coils around the grick, who tries to resist, but instead, begins to float fifteen feet off the ground, well out of melee range for everyone, as the grick hits the roof of the fort before reaching full height.
Gwen Watching this happen, pulls out her crossbow she stole from the dead goblins, and aims up at the now flying snake... And then the zhents, attracted to their version of hte bat signal.... And takes a shot.
At this point, the grick is bleeding heavily, and looks worse-for-wear. It attempts to strike out, but is unable to reach, though it's jaws do manage to snap very close to Paavu's face. Finally, letting out a horrible screech that temporarily drown out the drumming. The drumming ceasing momentarily, before proceeding once more.
Cirrus could easily tell that the drums were within twenty feet.. likely coming from inside the room, just past the curtains.
Cirrus rushes toward the curtains and takes two wide slashes with each of his weapons. Rapier: 18 to hit (w/ disadvantage bc I don't know what I'm hitting: 13), 10 damage. Shortsword: 9 to hit (w/ disadv 23), 1.
With the benefit of hindsight, Cirrus realizes that perhaps puling back the curtains to let him see what was making the noise would have been better than flailing his weapons blindly.
You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
Although momentarily astonished by the flying Grick, Paavu is swift to adjust his tactics. Namely in dropping Grol's morningstar at his side, and send flying in the next few seconds a handaxe at the hovering creature. "It means company comes. And not the good kind. To the nine with those thin-skinned small folk." The last phrase he mutters derisively.
What initially started as a wary glance turned into a more surprised one seeing Cirrus' rush off attack something on the other side. By the time he notices it's already too late try and follow through. So he said, "By the nine! They're already -- Go. All of you. Back him up." He said to the others before turning back to the Grick.
Action:(Thrown)Handy Axe. To Hit: 7 For: 7 non-magical slashing damage to the Grick.
Burgee looks up at the grick and gets ready to attack again when Cirrus heads toward the curtain. "What are you..."he begins but as Paavu exclaims so Burgee turns and heads toward the drumming sound with Cirrus. As Burgee approaches he says a few short words and makes the motion of a hand pulling aside the curtain and a spectral hand moves forth ahead of the pair to pull back the curtain.

Cirrus begins to charge through the curtains, but a moment before he can, Burgee's magical hand shifts the curtain itself aside. Cirrus rushing in swords blazing as he hears the drums so close.... Cirrus' first swipe hits its mark, beheading the drummer immediately.... His second one missing the other as in his mind, he catches a good solid glimpse of both the drummers.... They look exactly like the ones him and his former party had killed moments before the wormhole picked up. The same moles.... the same scars.... the same twist to the nose.... every detail was a perfect carbon copy..... These were the same......
Burgee following suit and witnessing the immediate beheading. And before him, seeing one more drummer drumming away, a look of shock on the goblins face, however, it seemed to be unafraid. Paavu, hesitating for a moment, decides to attempt to finish off the grick, throwing the handaxe bit missing by a mile. As the Axe hits the roof, the roof begins to rumble, cracks and seams appear in it moments before several long portions of the roof fell down. The grick being hit, and slammed to the ground, to die under the weight.
Paavu just barely manages to dodge out of the way before the roof chunks fall where he had just been, the room settling with snow and dust. Cold air pouring in. Rose following in last just after the first goblin drummer falls, only to see another drummer, beating vigorously. Her hammer comes down hard, and the goblin reels from the blow, but still stands. A wicked smile forming on his face in almost predatory glee. Perhaps not realizing the situation he was in.
Gwen rushes in from the other side, seeing the goblin reel, and the glance it gives to Rose, anger forming in her eyes and her hand whips out the crossbow once more, taking aim at the offending goblin. And before the offending goblin can go through with whatever dastardly plan it had in mind, it's body gets sent flying several feet, pierced by a bolt.
The goblin that remains seems a step above the rest. Turns around calmly. Hands behind their back. His face in an intelligent sneer as he looks at all the gathered before him. It seem we have guest. Shame.. you kill acolytes... But they with Maglubiyet now. You wish to talk? Or wish to fight? Lhupo no care. He will make you good sacrifices if choosing to attack.
Magical energy flows through their body, making them glow, a sickly brown.
Burgee looks over his shoulder towards Paavu and back at the goblin. He sees no use for the creature but... he looks at Rose. She is good, he thinks to himself. So he restrains himself from an all out attack but sends the hand around behind the creature to slap at its hidden hands.

Paavu is a bit winded at first. So, he took a few seconds to catch his breathe, and a few more to confirm that Tymora must've been looking out for him. The fact he lost a favored handaxe simply warranted a solemn nod. "You did well for me, Hacker." He muttered softly. If afterwards he notices the head of the Grick remained just outside of the rubble once all is said and done, Paavu breaks out the Yklwa, and carefully plunges the heavy spear through its head; confirming the kill.
Only once satisfied did he fully took stock of things and noticed the quieting of the drums... and an unfamiliar voice. Frowning, he kept the heavy-bladed spear out as he made his way past the curtain, and eventually end up in front of Rose for a moment at least. "Hn. Paavu made mistake. Thought drums were further away. Should know better." He admits, having eyed one of the corpse. "Walls thick. Storm loud. Understand now why not heard drumming sooner." He carried on, appearing to ignore the last remaining goblin's presence.
"Still alive? This one surrendering too?" He asked of the others; his own grip tightening in declaration of his leanings.

Cirrus holds up his hand to stop the attack fo ra moment. "Hold on, this goblin surely knows that he is outnumbered, and that Paavu alone could kill him easily. He wouldn't be baiting us like this unless he knew we would lose." Cirrus then addresses the goblin directly, weaving a supernatural charm into his voice, "We don't have to resort to fighting so soon, why don't you tell me why you're so eager to put yourself in harm's way by threatening us?" He also addresses the drummer, "And you, I love this groove you've got going on! What does it do?" Gwen simply nods, and says Thanks Rose... But eyes forward.. I feel this one is... tricky. Earning a smirk from the goblin.
As everyone enters the room, more or less, the only Goblin left smiles at the array of enemies before him. No, friend. Am not 'Surrender.' Sorry to disspoint. Cirrus tries to take advantage of the momentary pause to identify the magic, however it eludes him. He does feel the spell may be protective in nature. This only confirmed when the mage hand attempts to slap its hands from behind, only to slap itself instead -somehow.-
Wish to fight, do you, little one? You're quite hasty....
Cirrus finally chiming in.... And suddenly Lhupo looks a little... different as they face the blue-bodied man. Ah... I like this one. Has a good head on shoulders.....Why would put in harm way? Because Lhupo cannot lose. Should choose to fight.... Lhupo would simply watch carnage. Lhupo is strongest one here. Only cannot fight Grol because ... too many. But you size.. just right. Paavu... Which one is? Ah! Must be talking big one.... If Lhupo normal.. Not blessed by Maglubiyet... Maybe. Lhupo no can lose to one such as he....
A whispered word, would leave rose feeling 'inspired.' (Bardic insp) Cirrus is certain his charm worked, which is the only reason the goblin explained itself.
((OOC - unspent your 2nd level slot since there was only 1 target))
(All of this is assuming Lhopo is speaking common)
If the holes in the wall are big enough for a goblin to fit through and I feel confident that a fall from this height would kill a creature of Lhupo's size:
"Well my friends, it seems we've come to a stalemate. I think it's in our (referring to the party for the sake of stroking the goblin's ego) best interest if we try and make amends. Let us throw down the hatchet and bury it together. It is plainly obvious to me that we have been out matched. Perhaps this truce will open a window of opportunity." He then starts to duck walk to try and get on the goblin's level and keep a similar pace. "So you this is a place of worship for... Maglubiyet, was it? I would love to hear what you have to say about him." He begins to try to walk with Lhupo towards the windows. "I personally have been a worshipper of Iliira, but between you and me, I've been in the market for a new deity. A stronger deity! not a prissy goddess of joy! What good is a god that can't give you cool stuff like this?" gesturing to the aura.
If not:
To lean into the controlled friendliness of his spell, Cirrus makes a show of the stalemate they're at. "Well it appears we've been outmatched. His aura seems to reflect magic and judging by his phrasing that he would 'watch a carnage' leads me to believe our physical attacks might be reflected back at us or he could control our minds and make us fight each other. It seems that this master tactician has outsmarted us all. It seems he'll be invincible forever." Cirrus has no idea how to approach this new inconvenience. Surely this spell will fade, but he doesn't know if they have time to wait, but he also doesn't feel like they can leave this creature here since it clearly bears ill will toward them. Maybe he can dress both problems at once? "You know, Lhupo, I have a fire being set up in one of the other rooms, maybe you'd like to walk with us to there and get warmed up?" If Cirrus convinces the goblin to follow them, then they can keep an eye on him and wait for the brown aura to fade.

Apart from a nod of thanks to Rose for the update before, Paavu had largely divided his attention between Cirrus and the goblin. The former of which would continue to get funny looks; especially after started talking about truces and deities. He did at least look towards whatever window was nearby, appearing to at least caught on to hidden meaning before shaking his head, recalling they stood in a fort and none were about.
Yet as he did look around initially, certain memories drifted back into focus, eliciting a long, drawn out sigh from the Goliath as he turned back on the goblin. "Of all the various types of goblins, Paavu had to run into this kind. Again." He grumbles. "Whatever blue men's intent, it will not work here. Not less you do floaty trick again in new hole in roof." Paavu adds in a deadpan. "We'll chain up for now, and take with. But no one try harming this one. His word is good in that regard. Paavu has seen before... lost a few men that day to just one of these trouble cretins." On that note, unless someone intervenes, Paavu breaks out a length of chain and goes to try binding the goblin's limbs behind itself.

Cirrus looks around as Rose maintains her stoic vigil, keeping an eye on things and nothing more. Gwen looking around at everyone just standing around or talking to it.. It's clearly bluffing.... Why are you all standing around like statues? We just killed two of them in seconds and this one claims to be strong so you all tuck in your tails? She seems flabbergasted... Readying an attack but not quite willing to act just yet on the offchance the people around her had some plan she wasn't privvy to.
Cirrus remembers this is a fort, after looking at the arrow slits, and ironically enough this fight was taking place in one of the few un-tarnished portions of the 'castle.' Arrow slits being too small to push even a baby-halfling through. So, going with plan-b, Cirrus struts up to the goblin, and Lhupo smiles at him as if Cirrus was his only friend in the world, and that look... was more genuine than anything he had ever seen. Lhupo's face blushing at the praise that Cirrus was showering down on him.
Cirrus' final proposal made the goblin look down, almost as if in shame of having threatened such a good friend.... A faint bit of moisture appearing at the corners of it's eyes. Lhupo... think.. is .. good idea. Room is cold, not want friend to freeze... You are Lhupos .. first friend ev.. Paavu closes in, intent on binding the goblin while its charmed. And for a moment... Paavu almost considers Binding Cirrus instead... Afterall, he was just as new.. how did he know Cirrus wasn't working with them? For a moment, those thoughts floated in his head... before vanishing.
The goblin jumping in surprise only to be held down by Paavu, who then began attempting to bind it's back... Y-You BETRAYED ME! LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!, Lhupo trust you... Lhupo ... Grrr.... YOU WILL ALL PAY! AS DID MY CLAN! Madness and laughter could be heard coming from the goblin, and instead of resisting the binding, it used it's last remaining moments with hit's hands free.. Casting towards the center of the room... Engulfing Burgee, Rose, and Gwen.... The goblin casts Mass-Hysteria
Rose feels entirely unaffected, however.. both Burgee and Gwen seem to be acting strange....
I need to make a correction, every hostile action taken towards the goblin actually requires TWO dc 13 WIS saves, as two effects are present, I wasn't aware that one was INNATE. And one still has 8 rounds.
Burgee, at the start of each of your turns, you need to roll a 1d10, and using the chart on the 'Confusion' spell chart, perform that action.

You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.

General Int Check Regarding Storm(as discussed with DM): 8.
History: 18.

Party is up.
