I'll ask for secret rolls as needed later on in the game, I have to trust you as people to be fair to your pc. Just as you trust me to dm fairly.
As for now, he is asking just Kal to fight the 2 of them. Sorry if that was unclear due to the way Klarg talks. He is a deranged bugbear if truth be told. World is open to play it how you will, this goes for the whole party. Let Kal duel? Make an all out brawl? Talk to the goblins/hobgoblins? (They have not raised arms against you, I would take that as reluctant to say the least)
Just saying I have a few possible derail options payed out as backup so we don't have to follow anything to a T as it were.

The hobgoblins that have moved to fight you appear unwilling and only driven by fear of Klarg.
Does Klarg object to the confrence? If not, I motion for the others to back out and huddle up for a private conference. Whispering:

Niche clears her throat and pushes past the group, strolling forward trying to look as calm as possible despite her heart thumping hard in her chest. Her muscles tensed at the ready to dodge any attacks.
She looks around addressing all the goblins, even having her gaze linger on the spot where the hidden ones are, ”Ahem, look y’all, from what I’ve seen you haven’t lived a happy life lately with this big crazy guy around eh? Been avoiding his claws left and right haven’t ya? And now y’all have to fight for your lives against some random intruders he led in, dont you find it a little tiring?”
She pauses to let them consider her words before continuing, “Two options for y’all, one, stay with Crazy here and fight us. And be killed. We’ve already finished about half of y’all out there and we were just warming up. I may be small but my arrows are still regular sized, and I know where y’all are.” She gestures towards the hidden goblins, “Do you really want to lose your life for this big bully here who made your life miserable? He wouldn’t even stand up and fight but just gets you to do his biddings.”
”Or two, help us to get rid of this crazy bugbear and let us take the humans we want to take and we’ll leave peacefully.We don’t like him and you don’t like him. With him gone, you get your cave and gets to live another day and we can even do you one better by leaving y’all some food before we go. Then you go back to whatever you do and we go back to whatever we do. I couldn’t care less if you go back to pillaging passerby again just let us finish our jobs.”
Once done with her speech, she stands waiting for a response, ready to draw her crossbow with any sign of danger.
