“Can you tell me the difference between a witch and a wizard?" "Sure, a wizard is what they call you when they want to hire you, and a witch is what they call you when they're getting ready to run you out of town.” SunWolf replied ― Barbara Hambly, The Witches of Wenshar
Thomas begins to summon a fog cloud to flow around a few of the crossbowmen.

''Me llamo Jorge Romero, no soy un gringo amigo" George's years in South America come in handy as he responds in perfectly accented Spanish to the guard.
'I got caught up north on a hunting trip when the Change happened. Fell in with this crew and have been keeping my belly full and my bed warm ever since. Sounds like you all have quite the operation set up here. Who's the Jefe?'

This sounds like deception. You may be able to talk your way past or at least give an advantage in a fight.
It's like a 50/50 - George was with No Such Agency in the past in South America, but he's definitely a gringo.
Here goes nothing:

Any chance his very specific experience working in South America with drug cartels gives him an advantage :)
A terrible roll but you never can tell 17. He is not pleased that you tried to bullshit him.
Statements of intent and initiative please.
DM Note: I've just been advised by Genera's owner that she is leaving the game. Her character sheet has been removed from my campaign page. The other new player has also seemed to have vanished. This takes you from 7 to five characters so I'll also adjust this from 10 to 8 bad guys. Four at the barrier and four more with crossbows scattered about under cover.

Thomas will finish his Fog.Cloud spell and provide cover against two or more of the bowyers that are not under attack. He will then take his cue from the others attacking and shoot the talkative guard. He then Stealths away to cover. Gamliel will fly by the target to Help and grant advantage and sneak

Ooc. Ik we have a page for this but damn gotta hate when people join and then just Ghost out. But for Genara, I understand life happens. Did she at least give a reason? You dont have to answer if you dont want to, I'm jw.
Beak.Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 piercing damage.
Having them attack anyone is a very bad idea as even if they hit it's only one point and if the person being attacked has nothing better to do they will attack back. Any hit will kill them. Unlike owls they will attract opportunity attacks if they move away from an enemy. After they die (and they will) its months to train new ones.

Crap. Was hoping to talk our way out of this:
George will drop back from the barricade, retreating from the front line his full 30ft movement, aiming to get to cover and will fire at the talkative guard and use his Horde breaker Special to fire a second shot at another guard on the barricades.

George throws up his hand to signal to the team - particularly the Mayor's Own. They drop off the road into the verges, hoping Thomas does the same.
George throws his hood back and steps up to the front and greets the 'gentlemen' at the barrier.
'Oy there gentlemen. We are peaceable travelers just looking to make our way through.'

Terfysgaeth and Ofn are up, as usual. Perception 15 Any indication of how many of these locos are lurking around?
Ofn will fly back behind Aleister and report anything that is amiss.
Panic is a mechanism that strengthens the gene pool.
There are five on the barricade and the owl spots another five with heavy crossbows at various points.
Uthvern keeps vigilance at front with George. Hands not on anything but at the ready if shit does hit the fan.

Aleister will get ready to rock-and-roll, taking his dart-thrower in hand, but keeping everything under his cloak.
