OOC:  If they take a short rest, Sarah will roll 5 HD for healing.

*sigh*  Why did I ever think that would be immune to the curse :)?

I missed the earlier post. Investigation to look at the area in which we met this creature. Is this its lair? What else is in the area?

 The creature had come crashing through the brush from over there (DM waves hand vaguely in that direction). The path it took is as plain as day. You can back track it easily. Are you doing it before or after the healing spell on George (remember 1 hour)

George 20/36 healed another 10 if you wait an hour
Sarah 13/31
Max 12/44 does 2nd wind for 8

 No healing from short rest. It has to be a long rest.

Ouch.  Oh and I added a suggestion regarding Goodberry in Sarah's post.

Of all the classes you could choose I wonder why no one wants to be a paladin. It is the one class that is best suited for this strange new world (Lay on Hands)

OOC - Paladin requires CHA of 13. I considered it for Thomas, but can't make the entry without a lot of ASIs. :D He may have to go full Barbarian.

 Oh no. Paladins already have a heap of advantages is the Changed world. You get no more as freebies.

 Assuming the hour wait you follow the trail back to an area where this creature was summoned. A campsite that was quickly abandoned once the creature appeared and was send to deal with you.

George looks for any signs of who was at the campsite and where they headed next.

Sarah gives a mental rude gesture to any divine type beings on a recruiting drive.  Like she didn't have enough weirdness in her life... ;)  She also keep a look out for anything that might pop up.  If the PPA could send out a fiend once, they could do it again.

 These aren't PPA, remember all those people are dead and mutilated.

'Horses.  They have horses.  We're in trouble.  We need to pick up the pace - there's at least 10 of them.'

George gathers them together and begins working through the limbering and stretching exercises that help them move quicker. longstrider 

Thomas helps Sarah look at the campfire for signs of what magic was used to summon the devil into our world. "This is a bad sign, if some layman could summon such a being without major ceremony."

OOC - Help action for her Arcana, 'cause Thomas sucks at Arcana. 

Thomas then spends the time to summon Gamliel back, sticking to the form of the giant owl. 

Em readies for a forced march. He'll take the longbow and quiver from Ernie.
