This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I carefully draw my shortbow, paying close attention to avoid any sound (stealth 11) and aim at the Hobgoblin that is further away. I use a normal arrow and shoot (Attack: 22 Damage: 9)
If that is enough to kill it, I will move up to the Hobgoblin next to the corpse using cunning action dash if only a few moves are missing, and position myself in a way that the Hobgoblin has to split his attention between me and the door I came from.
If the Hobgoblin I shoot survives, I will tell Anton to run, and run away using cunning action to dash.
( ooc i am gone for the moment, i will recollect Mage armor once we regroup. )
I saw the suggestion to go, but nothing about actually.. moving away. Other than Anton, but that seemed more intent than action. My bad. Obsben will just cast scroll one on himself in the meantime then.

Anton then realizes that leaving the seas might have been a mistake. He positions himself in such a way as to put the hobgoblin directly between himself and Boh (flanking potential, or at least divided attention.)
Initiative: 4 (Great googly-moogly)
(OOC: I misread Boh's post. I didn't realize he ran if the kill didn't happen. If he runs past Anton, he would have thrown down caltrops and followed. I don't want to abuse the posting though, so I'm appending that here for DM to rule on.)
As Boh and Anton proceed to split the party, they periodically and alternately hear a voice in their minds: "Hi guys, so hoooow's the hoard retrieval mission going? Oh, this is Geth, by the way; another new trick I picked up last night. Just think a response at me and I'll get it in my mind just like this. Let me know you need help killing anything, or fall in a pit or something. And next time, maybe don't go wandering off through a dungeon by yourselves without making sure we have a way of knowing what's going on? K thx byeee"

Boh's arrow does indeed slay the hobgoblin, striking him in the back of the neck. He spurts blood and gurgles a cry before falling to his knees and finally slumping to the ground. The second barely begins to stand as you make your way to his flank.
He manages to get his shield out just in time to deflect Antons staff, but gets kicked in the stomach before he could block the follow up attacks.
Hobgoblin initiative: 18
The hobgoblin brings his long sword around to bear on Boh. Attack: 20 Damage: 5.
I would go ahead and take actions again Boh and Anton. Even dashing, it will take about 2-3 rounds for rest of the party to get into the hall.
Bho makes sure he stands oposide Anton, when he draws his rapier (uselessly holding my bow in my offhand) and stabs the Hobgoblin (Attack: 24 Damage: 13).
Bho's rapier pierces the hobgoblins chainmail. He coughs and drops his sword. He glares at you with anger as the light fades from his eyes. The hall goes quiet for a few moments before the rest of your group charges in brandishing weapons.
Neither of them are carrying treasure. Between them they have a pair of longswords, two shields, a two sets of the dirtiest, piecemeal chain mesh you have seen. Leather thongs tie the various pieces together. The dragons lair seems to be exactly as you left it. The pile of treasure that Calcryx had gathered still sits on the floor. A jade figurine (worth 20 gp), a crystal goblet worth 5 gp, 24 sp. and bone scroll tube.
