"We did it!" Fae cheers, then takes off along the path. "Come on!"

Enialis sighs as he says, “Always full of energy. Even after facing a tentacle monster thing.” As he follows after her. 

"Yeah!" Phanuel cheers along with Fae.  She's starting to crack the icy layer of fear that was coating him.  This place has a way of getting to you...  He follows her headlong, not taking the time to note if anyone else is with them.

Hadrian cautiously brings up the rear, glowing longsword in hand. 

You all follow Fae down the hall and you see that the path splits off to the east and west as well as continuing south. It also becomes apparent that the chanting is coming from the east. Unfortunately, four ghouls pop out and attack you as you enter the hall.

Roll initiative.

Hadrian curses and brings his sword to bear as the ghouls rush in.

Initiative 22

Hadrian chants a blessing and presents the symbol of the god of the dead on his shield. "Kelemvor bless you!" 

For Fae, Elyse, and Enialis.

Elyse charges at the nearest ghoul and swings with a backhand arc at its midsection.

Attack: 19 Damage: 8

(Forgot bless, add 3 to attack roll)

(Pretty sure that hits, so I'll add Divine smite damage, assuming ghoul classifies as undead so that's 3d8: 12)

(A ghoul is indeed undead.) 

Elyse's glaive cleaves into the ghoul and it is almost destroyed after she calls upon the power of her god to smite this creature. But it still stands and swipes at her with a clawed hand.

Attack: 24 Damage: 14 

Elyse must also make a DC10 Con Save if hit.

The ghoul's claw is able to get past Elyse's armor, drawing blood from the Paladin.

Phanuel and Enialis can act, since they go before Ghoul 2.

Con Save: 15 + 1

Enialis quickly moves in and attempts to get rid of the mostly dead Ghoul before quickly disengaging and retreating.

Elyse is easily able to resist the ghouls paralyzing agent. Enialis was so focused in making a quick getaway that his slash was off-target, going nowhere near the ghoul.

(Enialis don't forget you are blessed, would a possible +4 from the 1d4 hit?) 

Phanuel again calls Sacred Flame down upon his enemies, "Begone beasts."

Ghoul will take 2 radiant damage unless it passes a DC 13 dex save.

 (Isn't the ghoul's damage a bit high?  rolling 4d4 seems like more than they usually bring to the fight)

(The 4d4 was because it crit. Normally it's only 2d4.)

Ghoul 2 Dex Save: 4

Ghoul 2 is slightly singed by the divine fire. Enialis still misses.

Ghoul 2 moves towards the mage that attacked him and attempts to retaliate with his claws

Attack: 11 Damage: 10

DC10 Con Save if it hits.

Ghoul 3 attacks Fae.

Attack: 20 Damage: 4

DC10 Con Save if it hits.

Fae can act if she makes her save.
