DM roll: 12
The party decides to take a rest, but Perkas is having a tough time reorienting herself. As the group heads towards the approximate location of the old tower, Manfred again picks up the odor of rotten eggs, but stronger this time. Penumbra detects the tell-tall sounds of reptiles moving through the reeds and alerts the rest of the heroes as a giant constrictor snake and several regular, but probably poisonous, snakes come slithering from a sunken pit 20 feet away! (Roll initiative again - you're back in combat before you get to rest!)
The first to react to the snakes presence, Wakka charged forward and attempted to draw the snakes' attention while his friends took them out from afar!
Action: dodge
Bonus Action: telekinetic shove on yellow snake (DC14 STR save or pushed 5ft closer to Wakka)

Wakka is quick on his feet, rushing towards the new threat in a defensive position and psychically pushing a group of the little snakes! (DC14 Str: 4) (FYI, the foliage and water on the map count as difficult terrain. Moved Wakka 5' south of your original post to stay on the firmer ground and not end up in a thorn bush. Also for reference, the giant constrictor snake is a huge beast, and the other poisonous snakes are tiny. =)
The huge constrictor gracefully glides through the weeds and even over the water, coming at Wakka to strike with amazing speed! (Constricting Attack: 8 Damage: 15. If hit, Wakka is grappled (escape DC 16). Until this grapple ends, he is also restrained.)
Round 1(con't): Wakka(-4) :: Giant snake(-0) :: Manfred(-13) :: Perkas(-9) :: Blue Snakes 4-5(-0/-0) :: Yellow Snakes 1-3(-0/-0/-0) :: Penumbra(-0) :: Droop(-0) (@Kolbitr - please roll your initiative and post an action if it makes sense. Thanks!)
Perkas quickly assessing the snake and deems it to dangerous to try and befriend. She quckly takes off to the tree behind her and finds a good spot to nestle in. She takes lil bess and locks on to the Giant snake thru her scope (hm) and fires off 2 shots

Manfred's words help to inspire Perkas as he sends a flaming sphere at the snakes. It hits just beside one, but is enough to singe it and make it slither back to its den. (1 point away from its AC, but the splash effect was enough to 'dissuade' it =)
Perkas moves behind a tree and lines up Lil' Bess at the giant snake attacking Wakka, sending two perfectly aimed shots at the beast! (Crit damage rolls stink! Want to use your inspiration to reroll that damage?)
The last blue snake slithers towards Wakka and attempts to bite him with its lightning strike! (Attack: 21 Damage: 1. If hit, make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw, taking 3 poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.)
The yellow snakes slither towards the party, attacking Droop! (Attack1: 10 Damage: 1. Attack2: 13 Damage: 1. Attack3:12 Damage: 1. For any hits, make a DC 10 Constitution saving throw, taking 5 poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.)
Penumbra and Droop are caught flat-footed - a surprise given they are normally the most alert! Penumbra flaps over the snakes and lands behind the, killing one. Droop feels the venom coursing through his veins but manages to dispatch the other two yellow snakes.
Nimbly avoiding the strikes of the snakes that had surrounded him, Wakka turned to the smaller ones first and tried to finish them off quickly before dealing with the giant one that remained.
Wakka and Perkas finally kill off the giant constrictor! Congratulations on surviving another swamp hazard. Luckily, the old tower is in sight and you are able to make it with no further problems. A quick investigation reveals it will serve as a relatively safe place to rest. (Go ahead and take a short rest and reset what you can/need =)
When they arrived at the tower, Wakka spent the rest checking on his gear and muttering the occasional annoyed curse. He wasn't particularly injured, but he was less than pleased with the amount of holes his relatively new attire had sustained during their trek out there!

With Droop feeling a little sick from the poison Penumbra insists that he rest while she creates a small fire over which to cook the crocodile tail. As Droop instructs her she slices the meat into thin strips and coils them around sticks to roast. In short order enough meat is cooked to provide a hearty snack for the group.
Forgetting to offer anything to the group Penumbra digs in. "Oh man! Droop, you were right. This is great!"
Droop looks to the group and smiles. "Good food, energy to keep fighting. Eat, plenty I took."That said he begins messily gobbling down his share.

( I don't need to re-roll, that's the way the dice go sometimes :) I was hoping to use it on a bad attack roll or skill check.)
