Genren quickly puts his bow over his shoulder and rushes to cut loose all of the captives. He gestures to the gnome "Mind keeping these folks safe while we take care of business downstairs? Does that sound like an amicable plan my friends?" he sheaths his dancing weapon and takes out a dagger, cutting away the bindings of the captives.
‘I’ll stop him!’ shouts Manfred, as he dashes to (and through) the trapdoor, whereupon….
(What happens then depends on what he sees down there! Likely to involve the use of a bonus action…)
Manfred’s eyes flash silver as he draws upon some of the fey energies he has recently encountered, and suddenly he is gone, replaced by swirling silver mist that dissipates quickly.
The observant might see him now at the far end of the room, stood protectively in front of Martisha, rapier drawn… He takes a moment to look at her and give her a reassuring grin.
The party follows Backes through the trapdoor and down another set of steps into the basement. (Order in the passage: Manfred, Wakka, Tallow, Genren) Crates, barrels, and other containers holding food and drink have been pushed aside to make room for a large copper statue at the far side of the room. The statue depicts a four-armed storm god holding lightning bolts in each hand.
Before the statue stands Teega the smith, and streaks of small lightning flow between Teega and the statue. Backes now stands beside her, finishing a potion and looking less bloody than a few moments before. In the corner behind the statue, Martisha, the inn’s owner, is bound with rope. Her face is bruised and bloodied, but she bears no mortal wounds.
(How tall is the ceilling? what is the gap between the statue and staircase entryway? It'll dictate my actions)
Seeing Wakka's move, Genren will try to acrobatically somersault around the statue using his slippers to cling to the walls and improve his angles, he goes to close the distance and takes two stabs at Backes with his shortswords (Trying to get on the side closer to Manfred).
(@Aelas - you're in a cellar under the Inn, so the ceiling is about 6-7 feet high. The statue is blocking the passage - you can perform an Acrobatics check to try and get past it. If you fail, though, it gets an AoO!)
Tallow squeezes tot he front, fires off a fire bolt at the statue, then backs away!
After downing his potion, Backes moves towards the doorway and focuses on the party. "Thank you for offering to be our next sacrifices!" he jeers at you.
Taking a deep breath, Wakka looked to those behind him and said, "I'm going to make some room..." before attempting to both mentally - and physically - shove the strange statue out of the way
Attack #1: Shove (Statue): DC18 Athletics/ Acrobatics Check or pushed 5ft back
Attack #2: Shove (Statue): DC15 Athletics/ Acrobatics Check or pushed 5ft back
Action Surge!: TBD depending on how sucessfull Wakka is
Bonus Action: Telekinetic Shove (Statue) - DC14 STR Save or be pushed 5ft back
Wakka attempts to physically move the statue back into the cellar to give the party room to enter: DC18 Athletics: 5 - DC15: 18 then follows up with a psychic blast to move it further! DC14 Str: 5
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Genren acrobatically dodges his way inside the room and attwmpts to strike Backes, The big man parries the first hit, narrowly avoiding any damage, while Genren's second strike goes wide.
Manfred steps through the aether and appears beside the tied-up Martisha in an attempt to protect her
Wakka attempts to physically move the statue back into the cellar to give the party room to enter: DC18 Athletics: 22 - DC15: 14 then follows up with a psychic blast to move it further! DC14 Str: 13
Teega spins and moves to attack Manfred with a huge hammer! Attack: 6 Damage: 8 As she moves, the lightning streaks follow her and the statue, keeping them connected.
DC10 Arcana / Religion
The ritual has created a connection between Teega and the statue. The lightning bolt symbols on the statue and Teega’s bracers seem to power this connection. You can attempt to disrupt this connection with a successful Sleight of Hand check.
The statue steps forward to be beside both Wakka and Genren. It attacks both of you with its four arms wielding lightning bolt blades - and tries to headbutt Wakka!
vs Wakka:
Headbutt Attack: 16 Piercing Damage: 8
Lightning Blade Attack #1: 26 Damage: 9
Lightning Blade Attack #2: 14 Damage: 10
vs Genren:
Lightning Blade Attack #1: 11 Damage: 7
Lightning Blade Attack #2: 11 Damage: 7
(1st attack disadvantage roll for Cloak of Displacement - 17)
Tallow sees the connection with the bracers and tries to slip them off. Will use Tides of Chaos for advantage
Starting at 1st level, you can manipulate the forces of chance and chaos to gain advantage on one attack roll, ability check, or saving throw. Once you do so, you must finish a long rest before you can use this feature again.
Any time before you regain the use of this feature, the DM can have you roll on the Wild Magic Surge table immediately after you cast a sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher. You then regain the use of this feature.
Moving slowly as not to draw attention, Manfred draws a dagger and uses it to slice through the ropes tying up Martisha, and then reverses the dagger to pass it to her, so she isn’t unarmed.
Suddenly he turns in horror to see Wakka brought down by the evil Backes. He softly whispers a healing word, allowing the resonant syllables to gently slip through the air between them…
(I’ve assumed it’s an action to free Martisha. Healing Word restores 10hp for Wakka)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Quickly dodging the attacks from the statue with the assistance of his cloak, he flows like water before leaping backwards as far as possible from the enemies sheathing his normal sword (reaction Skirmisher: You can move up to half your speed as a reaction when an enemy ends its turn within 5 ft. of you without provoking opportunity attacks.)
He whispers the magical words as he sends his dancing weapon flying towards Backes before aiming his shot at the man in quick succession.

Tallow quickly determines the connection between Teega and the statue, then tries to slip past the statue to reach the woman. However, it lashes out with a lightning sword in an Attack of Opportunity! (AoO: 18 Damage: 8)The rogue manages to wrest the bracers from Teega, causing the connection to fail. Teega drops to the floor dead, and the lightning recoils to the statue, causing an electrical explosion! (Statue takes 19 force damage!)
Sensing Wakka's major injuries, Backes roars in triumph and presses his attack. (Attack 1: 13 Damage: 13 ; Attack 2: 12 Damage: 14 ; Attack 3: 24 Damage: 6)
Genren disengages and jumps back into the tunnel down from upstairs, activating his magical dancing sword and then taking a shot with his bow! Backes manages to parry the sword, but the arrow catches him unaware...

(Based on the results of dice rolls, Manfred modified the lucky recipient of his Healing Word, so Wakka heals 10 hp and doesn't have to make death saves! Which means you get a regular action!! Early Christmas presents - or perhaps a Trick or Treat? =)
(I'll take it haha! :) If I did my math right, I believe that Wakka should be at 5hp now?)
As the leader's attack slashed at Wakka across his chest, he thought he wasn't going to be able to hold on and began to stumble. But seeing his friends continuing to fight on around him, he managed to grit his teeth and steady himself before lunging at the man and attacking with all he had left.
"This guy is crazy! We need to end this." Tallow moves 30 feet towards the kitchen and uses the dash to move an additional 30 feet into the kitchen.
Genren quickly puts his bow over his shoulder and rushes to cut loose all of the captives. He gestures to the gnome "Mind keeping these folks safe while we take care of business downstairs? Tallow will peak around the corner of the hallway. Seeing the Statue of Talos Tallow will fire a fire bolt at it. Attack: 27 Damage: 19
He will use his remaining movement to duck back behind the corner.
(ooc - I assume half movement to push past Wakka and Manfred and then half back for a total of 15 ft of movement instead of normal 30)
