Tallow the whale strikes the ship again, this time forcing a hole in the hull! (If any other cultists get knocked into the water, you easily gobble her up!)
@Zoldier: Yes, you know the ship is taking on water and you can feel that it is slowing down. There are about 5-10 below decks by the end of this round trying to patch up the hole.
(OOC - Sorry for delay - I was away over the weekend) Manfred lets out a long sigh as the pirates refuse to see reason, and moves over to the side of the hull battered by Tallowhale. Giving a surreptitious strum from the lute, he focuses a burst of sound at the hole in the hull... (Level 3 Shatter for 15 Thunder damage. CON15 ST for any bystanders to avoid full damage)

Tallow the whale strikes the ship again, this time forcing a hole in the hull! (If any other cultists get knocked into the water, you easily gobble her up!)
Manfred shatters some hull boards on the opposite side of the ship!
Wakka ...
Genren takes out two more cultists!
Pirate ship: The Bos'n sends 6 cultists below decks to patch the hull breach, leaving only 20 to man the sails and one weapon - the Mangonel! They fire at the Dancing Delight's sails again, trying to slow down their prey before she escapes! Attack: 8 Damage: 23
Dancing Delight: Counting their blessings, the ship fires twice more at the chasing pirate ship's hull.
(Sorry for the delay, first time with internet in a couple days. My vacation does end tomorrow though, so I’ll be back to posting regularly soon!)
(Assuming he can make it there) Wakka, seeing some of the pirates continue to attack the Dancing Delight despite the damage their own ship had taken, audibled and moved towards the pirate on Mangonel! Then, as he mentally attempted to shove someone else off the ship, Wakka turned to any of his comrades in sight, except for Tallow who he wasn't sure could understand or respond to him, and asked, "Do you see an escape boat anywhere!?! I don't think this ship is going to last much longer!"
With the hull staved in due to an unexpected whale attack, the cultist ship breaks off their pursuit and limps back to the caves before it sinks in the open water. Manfred and Wakka are rounded up and held prisoner for your obvious attempts to aid the merchant ship! Genren stays hidden on the hull, but soaked through due to the spray. Tallow can follow the ship back, transforming back to his regular form about 10 minutes swim away...
Once to the hideout, the crew brings you before their leader, Gadrille the Reef-Reaver. The captain explains what you did, and Gadrille is furious! At her side is a large beast - it looks like a hell hound but breathes out tendrils of frosty air instead of fire. After several minutes of her tirade and cursing you, plus a couple of slaps and punches for good effect, she declares that you be sacrificed to Talos in the blowhole!
(OK...Manfred and Wakka get two chances to make a DC17 athletics or sleight of hand check to either break free of your restraints or slip a dagger free and cut your bonds. Tallow and Genren need to make DC15 Stealth checks to remain hidden. Taking you to the blowhole are Gadrille, her 'pet' and 4 cultists. MAP)
We probably should've come up with an exit strategy... Wakka thought to himself as he half-listened to the Cult Leader's tirade. He assumed/ hoped that Tallow & Genren were alright and had somehow made their way back to the hideout in secret, ready to save Manny and himself at any moment. Wakka just had to play his part and be ready to act whenever that happened.
"Sacrifice us to a Blowhole?" Wakka asked the leader incredulously. "I'm not sure if that is meant to frighten us. But it doesn't. It sounds quite fun and silly to be honest." As he spoke and antagonized the cults, he used the opportunity, to secretly break his bounds without anyone noticing; though he made no effort to fight back or escape just yet. (OOC: If possible, He would try and turn in Manny's direction though to show that his hands were free though he wouldn't try to hard if he thought he would be found out).
Tallow will use Tides of Chaos to roll with advantage on his stealth roll
Tallow stealth 12
Tallow stealth 14
Tallow tries to sneak towards the cultists but is still a bit disoriented from eating so many people as a whale. He knows that he isn't being sneaky so he decides to call through the cave system "I hope you're hungry! I have something special for all of you."

(Everybody roll me some initiative!)
Wakka easily breaks his bonds, and Genren is practically an invisible stalker in the cave complex. Tallow slips on a damp spot of the floor and calls out in a menacing voice. Manfred isn't sure what to do and is pulled along by the cultists.
Tallow calls through the cave system "I hope you're hungry! I have something special for all of you."
Gadrille scowls at the voice echoing through the passage and sends three cultists to go find the wayward halfling. She then turns her attention to the two prisoners in front of her, and launches into another preachy tirade about the power of Talos and how the weak will be swept away like foam on the seas. She finishes by shoving Manfred towards the blowhole and calling on Talos to judge him! (Wakka, you have an opportunity to take an action if you choose before Manfred enters the shaft. I figure you had enough time to think through a full action while Gadrille was making her standard and unnecessary bad-guy speech =) Genren, you are hidden and get a surprise round. You may attack with advantage if you choose. There is about 50' of separation between groups - the beach party just inside the caves and the blowhole surprise party further in.)

Tallow initiative 17
On his turn, Tallow will close the gap 30 feet. He will point his spoon at the group and unleash Tasha's Caustic Brew at 3rd level. A stream of acid emanates from you in a line 30 feet long and 5 feet wide in a direction you choose. Each creature in the line must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or be covered in acid for the spell’s duration or until a creature uses its action to scrape or wash the acid off itself or another creature. A creature covered in the acid takes 6d4 acid damage at start of each of its turns.
Taking Tallow's shout as the signal to counterattack, Wakka waited for the extra guards to run off before making his move. Quickly drawing his magical axe when Gadrille had her back turned, he mentally "shoved" Manny away from the cultist before taking a heavy swing at the evil-looking dog! "Time to end this!" Wakka shouted as he prepared himself for a fight.
Initiative: 12
Attack Evil-Looking Dog!: Hit 27/ Damage 15 slashing + 3 Cold + 10 Force Damage (1 use of Bite of Winter + 1 Psionic Energy Die)
Extra Attack!: Hit 10 (I assume that's a miss)
Bonus Action (If allowed): Telekinetic "Shove" pull Manny 5ft away from the shaft. DC14 STR Save or he can willingly fail the save :)

Surprise Round:
I'm in range and should be able to hit any of the cultists in the entry way, he knocks his arrow and sets his sights as he takes a deep breath (Unless I can line up a clear shot at Gadrille and still stay hidden, then I'll attack them from long range)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Surprise round: Genren sends a single shaft of death through the first cultist's throat and straight into the face of the next one following behind! (Nat 20, they're in a straight line with you, and the damage is enough to more than kill both of them! That escalated quickly!!) Wakka springs into action as soon as the three cultists leave, grabbing Bite of Winter and striking the evil looking 'pet' of the cult leader, hitting it once with a solid blow but missing the second follow-up attack. The beast exhales a cold, misty breath...
Round 1: Tallow :: Genren :: Gadrille :: Orange Cultist :: Red Cultist :: Tallow :: Blue Cultist :: Lt Blue Cultist :: Tooth'N'Claw(-25) :: Manfred
Tallow steps around the edge of the cliffs and fires a blast of caustic liquid, which would have hit the two cultists in a row if Genren hadn't dropped them a second before! The stream continues further intot the caves, though, and splashes another cultist and the beast that Wakka just hit. (Cultist save: 14 - Tooth'N'Claw save: 21) The beast deftly dodges, but the cultist falls screaming to the ground, a sick, burning smell filling the cavern...

Takes aim with another arrow, planting his feet before he fires (Steady aim and once again nearest cultist or the boss or dog if I can get that angle from where I am)
Bow attack: Attack: 28 Damage: 15
Elven Accuracy roll: 26
Sneak Attack15
He'll move closer into the cave afterwards to get a clearer shot/view of the enemies ahead without engaging in Melee (If he has to walk on walls to avoid Tallow's spell he will)

Genren shoots a perfectly aime d arrow deep into the cavern, following the stream of acid and hitting Tooth'N'Claw, dropping the beast to the ground!
Gadrille shrieks with rage as Wakka attacks her pet and then an arrow pierces its head. She shouts an arcane phrase, and a giant fist of shimmering force appears next to Wakka and tries to grapple him. Grapple against Wakka: 26. If the grapple is successful (Wakka can't break it or escape) you take 12 bludgeoning.
Tallow ...
Round 1: Tallow :: Genren :: Gadrille :: Orange Cultist :: Red Cultist :: Tallow :: Blue Cultist :: Lt Blue Cultist :: Tooth'N'Claw(-52) :: Manfred
Tallow the whale will take a bite attack against any pirate near him Attack: 26 Damage: 16
Tallow will then take another tail swipe against the ship Attack: 19 Damage: 30

(Couple questions:
-Can we tell at this point that the ship is beginning to take on water?
-How many cultists are are still below deck vs. above deck?)
