Drabash has been doing what he does best, standing menacingly in the room, never taking his eyes off the man with the strange shadow. Whilst his aggression isn't as blatant as Tibi, he does have one hand on one of his axes and his other is ready to throw a hand axe from his belt if required
Darvin looks toward Tibi and makes a "it's not good" face. "Reya..." he says, quietly, looking around for a chair to pull over toward her. "You... might want to sit down for this..."
Keeping one eye on Kreeg while Tibi keeps him in line, he conveys to Reya what he found, not going to any particular length to conceal what he's saying from Kreeg who knows by now that Darvin was probing his mind. "Look, I know we just met, and I understand your skepticism. And I know this is going to seem like one of those things that's almost too ghoulish to be believable, like when a politician counts on people not thinking they could possibly have such wanton disregard for truth. But watch his face as I tell you this. Kreeg here... sold Elturel knowingly, and is working with the Duke to do the same to Baldur's Gate."
Darvin lays out the evidence and Reya looks more and more dismayed. Kreeg however looks decidedly uncomfortable at everything you have figured out.
"Its true then, everything they say is true. You sold the city out. You are corrupt. Go ahead Tibi, kill him. it is what he deserves. if you don't then I will." She lifts her sword, ready to strike.
Tibi keeps his rapier pointed at Kreeg's throat and his eyes on him at all times whilst giving Reya a slight bow "Little Lady while I'd be more than happy to dispatch said villain, you are the one most wronged in this matter and therefore the honour should be yours?"
"Thevius Kreeg, in the name of the holy city Elturiel and all that she stood for, and by the power vested in me as a Hellrider, I strip you of your rank, your position and in punishment for your crimes, your life."
Reya then drives the point of her sword into the chest of Kreeg. Tibi has to dance out of the way as the point comes out the other side.
You are certain, yet not certain, but you would swear you saw a dark shadow for a moment as the man slid to the floor dead.
"I hate this city. Let's find the Duke, she is just as responsible." Reya says as she goes to stand by the door, turning her back on the now dead Kreeg.
Meanwhile you have the opportunity to examine the coffers on the tables in the room as Gilbert is busy casting his spell on the shield. The coffers are unlocked and open.
Coffer 1 contains 30 electrum ingots (10 gp each)
Coffers 2, 3, and 4 each contain 100 gp
Coffer 5 contains two pieces of a broken ceremonial dagger - a curved ivory blade bearing Draconic runes that spell out “Fang,” along with a bone hilt wrapped in leather strips and studded with gemstones.
Coffers 6 and 7 each contain 100 pp
Coffer 8 contains twenty azurite gemstones (10 gp each).
While Reya carries out justice against Kreeg, Gilbert finishes casting his Identify spell on the shield.
As Reya dispatches Kreeg Tibi gives a bow "well done Little Lady!'as he dodges the point of her sword. Once the party has finished identifying and inventorying the loot he suggests they move on to the next big room on the south side of the corridor.
After collecting the treasure you make your way back into the hallway. You reach a junction and the tunnel continues south and you see that this section of sewer tunnel slopes down gradually toward the south, channeling water and sewage into the city’s sewer system. The tunnel is blocked by a 10-foot-square barrier composed of vertical iron bars with 6-inch gaps between them — enough room for a rat to saunter through, but too narrow for normal-sized characters to squeeze through. The bars are embedded deep into the stone of the floor and ceiling. The tunnel continues in darkness, it is not lit like the sections you are in.
Continuing on you come to a corner and rounding it find another door. You find it unlocked and enter.
A broad-shouldered figure with purple skin and a beard of writhing snakelike tentacles stands in the middle of a room lined by iron doors, tightening its grip on a glaive as it glares at you through the darkness. Each door is set with a small barred window, and a ring of keys hangs from the creature’s belt.
He looks at you in your cultist garb and you hear a voice in your heads speaking in what you presume is infernal now that you have heard it a few times. Darvin hear's the voice ask what they want.
Darvin raises his hand, fingers spread out in a gesture indicating non-hostility. "We have some information to report to the Duke. Do you know where she is at the moment?" he replies in Infernal.
"Much obliged," he replies. "Keep up the good work."
Turning back around, he waves a hand gesturing toward the group to follow as he walks back around toward the entrance, stopping when he is aligned with where the shrine is. "I don't remember there being a door, but I wonder if... Help me look for a secret door, would you?"
If they find a secret door, he will open it and lead the way in. If not, he'll walk back around to the shrine to look for a secret door from that side.

OoC: @Zipnok, the secret door search is in the hallway around the corner back near where we came in, based on the purple guy's suggestion that the Duke might be in a secret chamber behind the shrine. So the rest of us are no longer in the room with him...

As you leave the room, Drabash hangs back for just a second and in response to his question hears an answer in his head.
"Fool, I guard the prisoners."
Drabash then leaves the room and follows the others into the corridors in search of the secret room.
A few minutes later the door is found in the corridor.
Pushing the door open you see that this room is lit by a pair of tall wrought-iron candlesticks in the northeast and southeast corners. Nine candles burn atop each one, casting flickering light across a claw-footed altar carved from a single block of obsidian, and which has a small angel-shaped flame erupting from its top. A gray-haired woman kneels before the altar.
"Duke Thalamra Vanthampur," Darvin says officially. "I'm afraid the time has come to answer for your crimes. I would offer you a choice between death and arrest, but I trust the authorities in this city about as far as I can throw them, and so instead you can answer this question and we will spare Amrik, or refuse and end your family line: How do we stop Baldur's Gate from meeting Elturel's fate?"
