Tibi looks a bit shamefaced at his clean miss of Bandit #3 and then refocuses as he steps forward one square before attempting to strike again Attack: 8 Damage: 6. "Well... good job guys!" Gil would say as he bounced almost excitedly towards the captain. "Let's see if these guys had anything of value... Acquisitions inc doesn't offer protection for free and we wouldnt want any of their belongings falling into the hands of more pirates or criminals you know..." The small verdan would say as he pulls out his log book and his pack before thoroughly searching each of the bodies.
Checking the dead you find tucked in Dead-Eye’s vest is a pouch containing 32 gp and 15 sp. He also wears two gold necklaces (25 gp each) and a blackened gold ring with a white pearl set in it (125 gp). Each of the other pirates carries a pouch containing 5 sp.
Tibi turns to see the pretty girl clapping her hands and a delighted look on her face as he has shown his prowess in combat..
Tarina climbs out from under the table where she was rolling dice. Other patrons begin to take seats again as a couple burly men come upstairs and start to remove the dead bodies.
You hear more than one voice remark that the Flaming Fist may arrive soon, though other voices say they are stretched too thin to worry about tavern brawls. Not with all the murders going on.
Tarina thanks you for the help. "Filthy pirates, they should have stayed on their ship. As for the information you requested. Several blocks northwest of here is a public bathhouse with a walled garden and frolicking nymphs carved into its front gates. Followers of the Dead Three have been seen coming and going from the bathhouse, and I’m told there’s a secret door inside that leads to a dungeon. That’s where the killers are hiding.”
As Gil collects the items from the bodies before they are carried off, he would pull out his wand of magic detection and cast detect magic before checking to make sure the black ring wasn't more than it appeared. If the ring didnt appear to be magical, he would record the item and place it in his chest before locking the chest and placing it back in the bag of holding. "I wouldnt worry about the flaming fist" gil would say waving his hand towards the patrons before finishing adding the last notes to his log book.
Standing up and taking a deep breath, Whistler heads to one of the seats and collapses into it for a moment. He then starts to check over his injuries, making sure they aren't too significant.
"Why thank you, Tarina," Darvin says, flashing a big smile at their contact and wiping a bead of sweat off of his brow. "Most helpful." He then looks for the proprietor of the tavern, and tucks five gold pieces into their palm. "For your trouble. Sorry for the mess," he says.
Then, to Whistler, "How ya holding up? That pirate packed a bit of a punch, eh? Need a little breather before we go check out this bathhouse?"
OoC: I assume we want to take a rest of some duration before we go. Not sure what time of day it is at this point, whether it would make sense to rent rooms here while we're at a tavern (if they have rooms for rent?), or whether we just want to take a short break and then get going.
Gil would finish putting the items I'm his pack to be divided up later. "Why don't we take a short rest, maybe order Whistler a meal while he recovers and then we can set off to investigate the dead three.." Gil would say with a smile.
"Works for me," Darvin says. "I always feel hungry after killing people I had no particular grudge against. At least I think it's hunger; it's this sort of pang in my gut. I wonder what that's about?"
Tibi drops Bandit #2 but is a little too preoccupied trying to impress the ladies to land a good hit on Bandit #3.
Gilbert hits the captain with a frigid beam of blue-white light that slows him down as frost covers him.
Darvin finishes off the bandit near him and then moves to help Whistler with the captain, his blade whirling in a defensive manner
The captain draws another dagger and attacks Whistler with his scimitar while striking out with the dagger in his off hand at Darvin

Darvin steps around and drives his sword into the captain and the man finally falls dead.
Meanwhile Tibi, in a couple quick slashes, cuts the last 2 bandits down.
The room falls quiet for a moment as you stand wary eyed looking for more foes and finding no one you begin to relax.

Gilbert checks the ring with his wand but finds it to be a mundane item with no magical properties.

It's late in the afternoon and a short rest would be fine. You could also easily do a long rest by spending the night in the inn.
Long or short rest? Your choice.
"Why not a long rest now that I think about it... It is getting late after all" Gil would say as he slings his pack over his shoulder.
