"I guess its settled, we'll take a long rest here I don't see any way around it. I couldn't see working to find this man only to kill him by making him move."
She turns to Otrov
I'm going to see if Gramm I think his name was is still there, please join me. Zurzg you stay here and protect them please."
She starts to walk that way and when she gets there
investigates his body further if its still there checking for clues and treasure
Otrov crinkles her nose, “I don’t have them, she does ,”pointing at Kai. “Hey, I’m all for that and everything but we could also wait here a bit, recover lost salts and all that. It’s pretty defensible. Plus, we haven’t checked that room yet. For all we know there’s a treasure hoard in there!”She nods to the western door, while looking mainly at Zurgz when she says ‘treasure’. (Area still blacked out on map). “I say we pull the bodies high and burn them all to a crisp then sleep,” she says. “I can help take first watch and do most of the burning and set alarm wires and traps if needed. If the caster comes back we’re going to need our magic people. Better yet, we search, burn, then carry this rotund fellow out of here and find somewhere to sleep but who knows if we’ll find anything out there.”
Nobody, Otrov hands you the whole bag he found, including the coins and all the potions. ( Inside the bag you find 3 small red potions, 1 pale green potion, a scroll, a map, 220 silver and 160 electrum pieces) You are fairly certain that the red potions are healing potions.
Margret, Gramm was the hobgoblin leader, he was the one you striped for the armor.
Otrov, i assume the room west you are talking about is the one where you found Gundren in.
Long rest: while Gundren is in dire need of one, you are not. You can only benefit from a long rest once every 24 hours. It is only around midday at the moment.
If you want to search more, roll me an investigation check.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(((Oh right sorry about that)))
Until we start moving again, Otrov will investigate the statues and the rooms a bit closer. If nothing is found she will head to nearby arrow slits and watch for a bit for anything out of the ordinary.
Zurzg wolfs down the bacon thrown to him, slight consolation for Ortiv stealing 'his' shiny things'. His ears perk up at the mention of treasure, but even more so at the mention of burning the bodies. "Make more bacon?", he asks suggestively.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Dain follows after the others, helping to search for anything that they haven't found yet. (I have no clue where we have and have not checked, so assume Dain is opening doors if they have not been opened. With the exception of where the beast is being held.)
His passive investigation is 15. If you want an active roll his familiar will help him..
Otrov you help to Relgalyn and Kai to pull the bodies outside the main gate of the castle. While doing so, you spend a few moments to pat them down for some more coins. You do actually find another 230 copper, 60 silver and 4 gold.
Dain, you and Sebastian search each room carefully one by one for anything unusual. Inside the inner shrine, you find a golden statue of an elf, hiden in the ashes of the brazier. The statue is maybe 6 or 7 inches tall. In the north western watchtower you find an unusually light quaterstaff and several other weapons. And in one of the storerooms you find a small barrel (1/2 gallon) marked with dwarven runes. You recognise the runes as the mark of a very good dwarven brandy distillery.
Do you want to rest for an hour and then carry Gundren, or do you wait for 8 so that Gundren can get a full rest? If you take a short rest and roll hitdice, you can add an extra 2 hp. This bonus applies only once and only if you use at least one hitdie.
(Well a short rest for now Just in case since we have some seriously hurt, and a long rest for Gundrum and us once we take care of whatever it is in the barred room We will stay here I guess.)
"I... I know bugbears sometimes m-might eat other goblins, but.... huh... Y-ya know I learn something new with you everday, Zurzg. S-sorry we couldn't quite get the vengeance you were after. B-But now it aughta be a bit easier, so.. there's that."Nobody offered in the way of condolence.
Nobody will refrain from resting properly, if but to take the time of identifying the green potion and unusual staff, as well as use Mystara's Eye to confirm no other discovered loot(including the Golden ritual implements—a chalice, a knife, and a censer Nobody discovered and eventually retrieves) radiates magic to warrant further scrutiny. After the debacle of his letting bloodlust get the better of him, the tiefling wanted to make up for it as much as possible.
Of the previously "identified" potions of healing, he would strongly suggest that Zurzg, Otrov, and Magret keeps a hold of them for the time being. Even after any and all work put in to spell crafting, he stepped out the castle front(or at least tried to) long enough to start making a large enough fire pit large enough and deep enough to cast goblin bodies in one after the other. Whenever that process is to begin, any arrows or bolts worth recovering are done so.

The pale green potion, is a potion of poison resistance, the staff isn't magic in itself, but carved from some kind of hollow bone. It is a normal quater staff, but it only weights 1pds. Also i assume Dain shares his discovery, the small elven statue is magical as well: Any non-evil creature grasping the statue can ask it a question and receive a telepathic response, as though it had cast augury. Once a creature has asked its question and received a response, it can never activate the statuette again.
Nobody is sure to notify everyone of his findings, including the statue's properties. As he is contemplating inquiring of it (and passing off the poison resistance poison to anyone that could use it), Magret suggestion... he had to do a double take at it. "Wh.... Oh... eh... I mean... I get it, but... there not all exactly tiny enough for a bread crumb trail -- i-if that's where you leaning." He said.
"But, if you wanna give it a try, then.. I don't see why not. Worse case scenario, we'll still have to kill whatever's in there. Best case scenario, they've been cooped up in there long enough to wanna leave on their own."At that, Nobody heads off to start dragging goblin bodies to the door.

Are there any windows into the chamber with the beast? Ones Sabastian can either go through or see through?
