b"Let's camp there." Dain says, nodding to the trees Sabastian just spotted. "Seems like a good enough place for now..."
Sabastian perception, with Dain's help, for night watch: 23
"If everyone agrees I guess you and Otrov could take first watch If you would Dain, Maybe you could teach her some magic. Then Kala and Biggz second I'll take third" she starts helping setting up camp "Course Otrov could take watch with me instead and I could try and teach her the light spell"
"Not much of a mind to play tonight. But, if ya want a crack at it, then by all means."
"Well..." Kala responds "OK... I've never actually played before." She looks a little sad but understanding.
"Maybe you could teach me one of these nights." she suggests and then bounces off to tend to her evening rituals.
"Sure," Biggz replied after her, but without much enthusiasm behind his voice. Later on with Margaret volunteering him for watch, Biggz actually bristles at the remark. "Now hold on there for a bit. I don't mean to ruffle any feathers now, but I don't think I can go along with your 'request', Ms. Margret. At least--" He pauses, moving his mouth as if chewing over his next words before sagely nodding at a thought. "Don't you and the dwarf have those animal companions of yours? I won't pretend to understand of your companionship. But, you two seem awful close and to trust their abilities, suggesting them being more than capable of standing watch alongside a person, right? And if so, well, Dain has his flying cat, you have your bat, and Kala can have the little chatterbox... Meaning, there ain't no need for me to be pissing off my god because I'm not paying his toll properly."

"Not many know this, and frankly not many care to know as my kin tend to not be the most hospitable sort.... Not without some outside pressure, in any event." Biggz snorts. "But the truth is, in exchange for our uncanny stealth and elusiveness provided by our clever god Grankhul, younger brother of Hruggek the great, he saps our vigor -- all bugbears vigor -- so that he may stay every alert to protect his brother." He explained in solemn tone. "As a result, we need more rest then most... uninterrupted rest. For what little energy we are spared can hardly get us through our natural waking cycle." He sighs at that. "And, I have no wish to slow us down further just for some extended sleep to make up for the lost hours. So, for the sake of all being well-rested as possible..... I hope you understand, and reconsider."

Otrov, Margaret explains to you the basics of arcane magic and demonstrates some basic spells and exercises. You pay close attention and you understand very well what she is telling you, but just because you do know how a bird flies, doesn’t mean you can do it youself.
In the morning after a quiet nights rest, you collect your belongings and get back on the road. It is a beautiful day and the grassy plain left and right of you is overflowing with flowers. You don’t see a single soul on the road and the longer the day goes on, the more disturbing this emptiness becomes. By the time the sun starts to set, everyone is on the edge by this absence of traders and travelers. Around that time, you reach an intersection. One road leading east, but is heavily overgrown. The other one leading southeast wich looks like it was used more frequently. Margret, you traveled here before and you do recognise that the road east would lead to Conyberry itself. The road southeast is the new Triboar Trail that bypasses the village.
"Did you get a good night's sleep Mr Biggz? I do hope so!"
As they all travel along, Kala notices the lack of other travelers but isn't much affected by it at first... as the day goes on she begins to wonder if they had taken the right way. "You all notice the lack of other travelers today?" she questions after a while. It might just be her but she needs to be sure. As the day goes on, she becomes a bit more concerned... "OK, this is just really weird, shouldn't we have seen SOMEONE by now, you know traveling?"

For what it is worth to Margaret, without perhaps a religion check on the subject, Biggz at least genuinely and wholeheartedly believes what he said is true, and may offer insight missing from most accounts on the otherwise brutish people.
Come the next day, Mr. Biggz graces Kala with his usual sleepy-eyed smile. "As much as one can out and about. Which never feels enough, but it'll do." He said chuckling a bit at the end. As the group is traveling along, Biggz appears to sleepy to mind much the lack of activity along the way. But when the question comes up, a chuckle slips out before he can catch it. "Sorry, it's uh... it's just between the Orcs and the Dragons and possibly even those wild folk mentioned last, it's no wonder they ain't many travelers this way. Those that ain't have been captured or killed have probably survived and turned away to warn others at the cost of their profits." He explained.
"Hell... I'd be surprised if we'd run into any at this juncture, side roads or not... Speaking of? This is where we turn off to the shrine, yah?"
She says to Kala "Like Biggz said would you travel a road or even this trail if its the stalking ground of a dragon? We need to keep alert in all directions. Ground and sky"
Checking the map to see how far they were and weather or not to send their scouts ahead she simply nods and says "Yes" to biggz and starts heading that way
"Otrov perhaps you should keep that wand of yours ready it has a decent range. But you'll have to wait about 120ft to hit anything"
But she does send Marco to scout the ground around them in a 100ft radius with his echo location.
She says to Kala "Like Biggz said would you travel a road or even this trail if its the stalking ground of a dragon? We need to keep alert in all directions. Ground and sky"
Not really knowing the area and hearing the arguments about the dragon, Kala nods her head "OK, I can understand that, just seemed really odd that we are the only ones out here, that's all."

Following the bypass, you are just south of Conyberry. The sun starts to sink behind the horizon. Do you want to rest here, travel for another hour to bring some distance between you and the village, or do you want to press on till possibly after midnight to reach the shrine?
Glancing at the sun "Looks like we will be camping again we're about a half a day away. We could reach this place by midnight but I think our stamina would be tested." She looks around for shelter missing Nobody's ability to dig fire pits or graves during a dragon attack
"Shoooot! Guess we are camping then! Though.... baaah. Nevermind." Biggz let out a chuckle. This time if Otrov approaches him about searching the area for something to harvest, the Bugbear kindly declines in favor of helping to get a better cooking fire going, and cooking a larger, more communal stew. He make sure to season it well at that, humming a soft tune while he made sure everything was to perfection.

"Yes, time for camping." Dain agrees. he helps someone find a good site, then would take one of the watches, with his familiar doing most of the watching.

Kala keeps her same regiment as the previous nights, making sure she washes properly before going to bed. She does hopefully watch Biggz, thinking he may play the lute or possible teach her a note or two but she's unwilling to ask as she was kind of 'growled at' the last time, at least that's the way she took it. She tends to her watch when it's her turn.
