Kai extends her slight wet and webbed hand for a handshake with a smile. "Pleasure to meet you too. We come with the delivery as promised within the deadline. It's nice to meet you."
Becoming somewhat bored with watching Nobodys Incantation she turns to the individual dressed in someone elses loosefiting cloak
"Hello Zurzg, I tried to talk to you earlier but we were interrupted, I've never met one of your kind that wasn't trying to kill me so I guess this is a first. I hope you consider me a friend."
Kai, Elmar shakes your hand and is slightly confused by the wet feeling for a moment. He still keeps on smiling at you as he leads you inside to the counter.”Anders, go fetch Thisle and start to unload the cart. Make sure Betsy is rubbed down and feed when you put her in the stable.” He asks you to wait for him for a moment as he disappears into a backroom and returns after a minute with a leather bag full of coins. ”Here you are 50 dragons as promised Miss ...,what was the name again? And please tell, where is Gundren, i would have expected him together with you?”
Also could everyone please write where they are at the moment? Inside the shop, outside or inside the shed. ( and no there is no surprise attack coming)
(That's just what a DM would say right before a surprise attack! j/k)
"My word." Nobody says softly as the magic display visibly fades from view. Only the dim green tint to otherwise black pools for an eye give away the ongoing hold over some magic. Thoughtlessly the tieflling disembark to slav squat just to the side of Barthen's door, silently marveling over the figurine. "Three schools of magic. An unexpected find. Certainly an uncommon trinket /at least/ worth a great deal in more than one ways."He says to himself more than loud enough to be overheard.
"Evocation. Transmutation. Abjuration. A trans-formative figurine with a powerful protective effect?" At that point, Nobody catches himself and looks to Mal or anyone else that stuck outside with a sheepish grin. "I will need more time to truly study this and learn its properties -- o-or someone can try, of course. But, I'll need an hour at least of uninterruptible study. Later of course. Business first."He offers the figurine back to Mal if still around, but will hold on to it otherwise to further figure out.
"Ah! Excuse me sir? Quick question. You would not happen to have brass braisers here? Wait! I got that already. How about some charcoal incenses and herbs worth about, oooo, 10gp? Oh! Better yet, anyone in town you know studies and might sell things of arcane nature?"He asks rapid fire, still excited from discovery. Without waiting for the first answers however, he slips forward offering his bandaged up hand, "I am Nobody, by the way. Sorry for the lack, uhm, introductions, I think? Yes. Yes.. Yes. Mn."
Thistle, one of the two lads who were trying to unload the car, shakes your hand, a bit horrified by your bandaged, scaled, discolored eyes, slightly lunatic thiefling appearance. He stammers: “W..w..we do have charcoal here in the shop, but as for incenses and herbs, your best bet would be Sister Garaele at the Temple. If she doesn’t have it, i would say that we could organize some from Neverwinter, but that would take about a week and half the price must be paid upfront.”
Kai tilts her head and smiles. "Ah. Where are my manners. My name is Kai Loire. Gundrun is currently tied up at the moment and do Sildar has us deliver the goods on our own."
Kai is currently wherever this man is to hold a friendly conversation. She politely takes the coin to distribute momentarily with a friendly "Thank you." After a moment, she will continue the conversation.
"Is there anything else you may need? Oh! And Nobody. Didn't we also acquire some extra boxes of things on the way here? Do they belong to you sir? OR do you know who they would belong to?"

Curiously watching the exchange between Kai and Barthens, Zurzg opens his mouth to reply to Margret, but is promptly cut off by her. Yelping slightly as the cart begins to move into the shed with him still sitting against the wheel, he wanders round the back of the group gathered outside, looking quizzically at Nobody as he appears to relieve himself by the side of Barthens door.
Goblins and Horned Ones not so different maybe..., he thinks to himself.
(Oh. Now I see where the confusion came in. I deleted the sentence stating Nobody stepped inside after the whole melt down to ask about charcoal and incense. My bad. Fixing.. sort of to make the narrative have sense again.)
"Yes.. Yes of course. Thatthathat make sense. Yes. Mn. It cannot wait though." He says going from maniac and cheery to nearly growling at the last words while looking off to the side. Without another word, he steps on inside the Barthens to look all but frantically around. Then he heard his name, and following a shudder, appeared to regain some semblance of focus once more. "Yes? ... Yes. Items.. Our companion mentioned a... Blue Lion Crest.. Said they were -- that the business was rather known at least in neverwinter? Hn! Sorry, it is -- uhm, my apologies. I am *ahem* It... It isn't important."
He finally stops to take a breathe, closing his eyes briefly during the process. "I could also use some charcoal, if you have it. A gold's worth at least." He says in a measured tone to the elder gentlemen, marking him in mind at least as Barthen. At some point he felt the altered eye and added scales along his face had been exposed, and so swiftly began brushing his bangs back into place.

Elmar Barthen leads you from the store, through a side door into the warehouse, where the two young man are in the process of unloading the cart.
"Hey boys, is there anything on the cart that doesn't belong to us?" he shouts out. And the ginger one, Anders, replies :" Yeah, a couple of creates and boxes from Lienele. Also a bunch of old weapons."
You start to see a mischief grinn on his face as he turns his attention back to you:" You don't strike me as the kind of person who would rob other caravans, so I will assume you got those other boxes either from Orcs or Goblins. So here is my offer: You can use my cart and Betsy to bring those boxes to Lienele. Her shop is around then minutes down the road, past the village green and the Townhall, basicly just follow the road south. You can't miss it, it got the same ugly lion crest as those crates. I am sure she will reward you. But you have to tell her that I hired you in the first place. That you guarded my deliver, brought it on time and that as a bonus you kicked the shit out of some bandits while doing so. I just want to rub it in if you get me. " He beams a big fat cheeky grin at you.
Next he addresses Nobody, he seams not to be bothered by your appearance or request:" You strike me as one of those magicians, so I assume you are looking for the more expensive smokeless stuff, correct? I have two bags left of that for 5 silver each bag. Or I can get you a two zentners, that's around your body weight by tomorow midday for 1gc."
Kai pauses momentarily in thought, a little taken by surprise at the sudden mood change from Elmar before looking to the rest of the group (who came into the shop). "I suppose we could do that? I think our goal was to deliver those anyway. We just needed to determine who's items they were... Is there any benefit from that exchange of information?" (I assume using the cart, but is he suggesting any extra money? Or just the cart?)
With another slight pause, Kai looks to Elmar. "Is there an issue between you and Lienele? It seems you have a grudge. Simple banter? Or something more serious?" Kai is genuinely curious and almost has a slight curious tilt to her head. She let's Nobody take care of what he needs while they talk, not minding any interruptions to the conversation.

At the mention of 'old weapons', the goblin plods through the door after Margret, and walks up to Kai, keeping Mal's hood up, and his head down. He tugs at her clothes to get her attention.
"If Zurzg following you to castle, Zurzg would like weapons back. Zurzg have teeth and claws, but sword and bow kill things better."
Kai nods and smiles at Zurzg. "Yes. I will get them back for you. Just after we are done with this." (Not in a condescending way). She makes sure Zurzg is still slightly behind her in a casual way.
She then nods to Elmar. "Banter is understandable. She is a company woman? What kind of company?"
