And is the castle intact? Like does it have a roof covering anything? Can’t remember if it’s covered or not. If not, maybe we would send a pet to recon?

"Dain could you do some scouting with your familiar get an overview of whats happening outdoors please. I wonder if we could move around to the north entrance. I left Marco on the roof but I need my senses."
(I was thinking that it was just Otrov in that room, But I wouldn't have our worse wounded in that area she needs to be behind me as well as the others in the dining hall if we have any healing potions now would be the time to use them.)

As long as you are within 100 ft him, he will be able to pass on messages and simple images back to you. You will need to use an action and give up your senses if you want detailed images and exact control.
Also, those of you with a passiv perception of over 13 hear some gentle banging from the barricaded door on the east side of the dinning hall. As well as the flaming sphere disappearing (time limit reached).
Turning to Margret, Otrov mentions “Hey I’m okay at sneaky stuff. I have a couple oil flasks and some ball bearings too. Maybe I could throw this on some things and maybe someone could light it up? The ball bearings will cause some challenges at least! Or I could give it to someone else and wait somewhere with The Prick in my hands...whatcha think?”
Nobody brows furrow for a little while before he looks to Margret, nodding an agreement with Otrov. "Better than having less skilled hands at it, or an overlarge unit. Okay DM, if possible, Otrov scrambles out to where Margret is and launches a couple handfuls over Zurgz to the east door and barricade, then she'll throw less just north to where the other barricade is. Then she will go back to her original position, throwing another handful up the hall as far as she can (where the archer room is). Finally she'll put whatever is left away and ready The Prick for any unpleasantness.
"I don't believe resting is going to be an option." Dain remarks as the sounds are pointed out to him. His familiar would have warned him about them as well. He glances to the others. "Are we planning on making a stand here then, or do we wish to take the battle to them before they box us in?"

Marco starts flying around the castle to observe, as he gets closer to the main entrance on the west side, he sees several hobgoblins lead by a bugbear who is riding on a direwolf coming up the steps to the main entrance hall.
The wolf steps through the broken entrance gate and faces towards you. The bugbear looks around at all the slain goblins on the ground and starts to roar at you: „Who dares to attack my castle, who dares to attack the mighty king Groll?“
"W-we stand. Better we hole up here, than try to lose them in their own territory. Out in the proverbial open." The tiefling would have earlier expressed to Dain.
Nobody lips part, but no word comes out before he shakes his head. He looks to Magret in a clear sign that she would be the voice, as she would likely be exposing herself to the most danger in conversing with the bugbear. He would -- could not give words of advice, having a somewhat hit-or-miss understanding of goblinoid culture. Not unless she asked it of him, and if then, he would take a final calming breathe before stepping in view with words for the bugbear. Maybe...
If not asked, then at the very least, Otrav's mention of a noise elsewhere is enough to get the tiefling to analyze and hold in mind an incantation in mind for the first pair of enemies to come within visible range from the east.
