Zurzg joins Margret in slashing at the direwolf, bringing his scimitar down on its shoulders and neck. Whether successful of not , he then darts back to his original position (disengage as Bonus Action).
Otrov looks in Nobody’s direction after his booming message echoes outward. She gives a big smile and a thumbs-up sign. Then she screws her face up, tongue out in concentration and tries her best to communicate as the pretty one did. She sighs and then opens her eyes, resigned: “Ya ya ya! We kill the king and give the cowards an option! One that saves their pride! Might makes right, or something like that! Ooh, that reminds me of one Minotaur I knew...”. Otrov is silenced by the crack of the spell and the viciousness of Margret and the Zurgz’s attack on the wolf...
'O' why did I even bother' Nobody glumly, and yet leaped upon the direwolf with a dagger, flanking and hopefully stabbing it to death before turning its blood into fuel for black flames to set the nearby oil on fire.
Action: Cast Black Flame Blade using Everybody and striking Direwolf. To Hit: 26 For: 6 of non-magical piercing damage and 3 Fire damage to Oil.
(If wolf is slain prior to attack, Nobody breaks out the light crossbow on King Grol, or any hobgoblin in view after looking through the door. Use the same attack roll, but this would be the correct damage dice: 6)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Goyo - [Tortle]Druid/Warlock - Circle of Sea/Celestial (Libretalia)
Drozo - [Hobgoblin]Cleric - Blood Domain (Call of the Netherdeep)
Stormbringer, you already had your turn this round, since we are still round 1. Also who do you attack? Please redo your action, once we start round two. (waiting for Nobody btw.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nobody attacks the giant wolf, and as he stabs the beast, black flames jump over from the wolf to one of the oily patches, igniting it (+5 fire damage). You can hear king Groll shout some orders to his pet in goblin.
A second hobgoblin runs up behind the wolf and moves to a good position to throw a dagger at Nobody, before he retrieves behind the entrance again.
Hob 2 vs Nobody (1/2 cover) Attack: 23 Damage: 22
You also hear another person attacking the NW door of the dinning hall:
Attack: 11 Damage: 4
Attack: 6 Damage: 5
This time the attacks are strong enough , to break the door. You see two more goblins behind it. One is the shaman you saw earlier. Zurzg, you recognise the other one. It is Yaarik, the goblin who was giving you orders only 2 weeks ago. He takes a few steps into the hall. King Groll uses the openening as well, to rush into the dinning hall and he throws a javelin at Dain.
Groll vs Dain Attack: 14 Damage: 5
Gramm the hobgoblin commander from earlier also throws a javelin past the wolf at Nobody.
Margret takes her last stand She attacks the Dire-Wolf Attack 10 dmg 9 if crit 6 trying to keep it from killing Nobody then if she ends the wolf she tucks away her sword summons her bow to take a shot at the bugbear
Seeing that the King has moved and reappeared to her right, Otrov smiles and fires again, hoping that felling the leader will cause some problems among the mindless goblin underlings. She uses her bonus action to again try to nestle into the rubble, further obscuring herself, like a viper ready to strike. Stealth9
She caresses her Prick, mumbling some sweet-nothings and pulls the release:
Attack: 25Damage: 14Sneak attack - 7
She then will move behind Dain (1 south, 1 west)
(((lol! of course )))
((((oh wait! that's good right?! i rolled a 20 first so even if not hidden at will still count, right?)))))
Margret tries to hit the direwolf , but once again the beasts hide is to tough for her strike. Otrov on the other hand has more luck, a perfectly timed bolt hits the bugbear in the eye and he collapses to the ground. Noticing the defeat of the king, Realgalyn moves closer to the door to catch a glimpse of the hobgoblin leader. He plays another strange melody and you hear the hobgoblin swear, while the heat metal of his halfplate causes 15 fire damage. Relgalyn retreats back into his corner again afterwards.
Looking at the two people in front of him, the direwolf decides to attack the one that looks more squishy and easier to reach.
wolf vs Nobody Attack: 14 Damage: 13
before he jumps back and out of the flames. Margret(disadvantage because of ranged weapon) can make an AoO, i assume Nobody used his reaction to shield against the deadly hit in the last round.
Seeing the wolf retreat and the bugbear king on the ground, Kai also attacks the hobgoblin leader.
Spiritual Weapon vs Gramm Attack: 22 Damage: 8
Sacred Flame vs Gramm, DC 13: Dex save 11 for 1 radiant damage
The hobgoblin that you thought was killed by Kai a few seconds ago, gets up again. His clothes still smoking from the sacred fire and he makes an unsteady step into the dinning hall, next to king Grolls boddy.
Zurzg spies Yaarik, and bounds over the various corpses and debris to strike at him. He uses the last corpse as a springboard of sorts, to attack the goblin with a slight height advantage and bring his sword down on his head.
Otrov smiles with glee as the fat king falls. She tries to get nobody’s attention. “Now! More fancy words! We are the rightful king,” she gasps in realization. “I am the rightful king!!?”
Ceuk, the wolf retreated behind the flaming oil, because of all the corpses and rubble lying around, you do not have enough moves to get within melee of it.
Margret strikes finally lands as the wolf tries to retreat, you can hear him yelp before he runs as far as he can out of the building. Zurzg who wanted a piece of the wolf to, stands for a moment surprised while Dain puts down the healed hobgoblin for a second time. The death cry pulls Zurzgs attention in the other direction, where he spots his former commander, he runs and leaps of a corps to deal a heavy strike to his fellow goblin. The shaman behind Yaarik mumbles some words in an unknown language and a huge flame concentrates into a flaming sphere next to Margret and Dain. The sphere suddenly accelerates and crashes into Margret.
Margret: Dex save DC 13, 7 fire damage on a fail, half (3) on succes
Hobgoblin 2 sees Zurzg attack and runs over to get into melee with the goblin. He strikes twice aiming for Zurzgs vitals.
Hob 2 vs Zurzg Attack: 11 Damage: 4
Hob 2 vs Zurzg Attack: 16 Damage: 2
if at least one of those hits, you take an extra 7 damage
Waiting for Nobody. Also, the shaman retreated out of sight into the dark room in the middle of the castle.
Zurzg joins Margret in slashing at the direwolf, bringing his scimitar down on its shoulders and neck. Whether successful of not , he then darts back to his original position (disengage as Bonus Action).
