Brask charges into the absolute darkness, smashing into the mammoth with his horns. The force is a bit more than he expected, and he has to shake his head to get rid of some tiny, floating Pips circling around him. He swings his maul down, connecting once with the beast - he thinks - but the second swing sails into the hard ground as Brask feels the mammoth continue to move past him.
Pip will hold his action, notching an arrow and aiming toward the darkness, waiting for the mammoth to emerge. Kurama, you're up.
Seeing Brask charge straight into the darkness, Kurama moved forward towards the edge of the spell and waited, ready to act should the giant creature somehow make it past the minotaur.
(Moving towards the edge of the darkness and jolding his action to attack should the Mammoth come into range)
(OOC: can you use a bonus action. As part of a held action? If so, he would also active is Arms if the Astral Self)
(to be clear, the darkness is moving with the mammoth. The mammoth should never "emerge" from it at all. that was the point of casting it on the caltrop, rather than the mammoth, and the caltrop is now a mammoth hair accessory XD)
(Both Kurama and I did not know that xp. But I think he'll keep his action as is this turn then adjust after seeing (or not seeing) how the Mammoth reacts)
Ooooh! Sorry, that totally didn't click for some reason, haha.
The strange, magical darkness stops a moment after Brask rushes into it. It shifts a bit as the mammoth moves around within it, but now disoriented and being attacked, it only thrashes about chaotically and somewhat panicked.
Gore and stomp attacks on Brask:
Attack: 11 Damage: 22
Attack: 14 Damage: 22
Pip slowly approaches the darkness but dare not fire into it with Brask inside. Effort & Cad are back up. Cad can cancel out Brask's disadvantage within the darkness should you choose to go that route.
Cadmael trills, guiding the next attack against the mammoth (help action).
Effort, in the meanwhile, simply blasts the mammoth, being able to see it clearly. It seems to be thrashing too much for her to hit it the first time, though (unless an 11 hits). Her second blast is much more carefully aimed.
Blast 1: 11 Blast 2: 26 Damage: 12
She backs away further, trying to stay out of the range of the wheeling mammoth, and shouting out to the others as she moves.
(Effort is basically tracking how injured the mammoth looks to her and what she thinks it's doing to the others)
The second attack strikes the beast squarely on its side. It singes some fur and burns the skin underneath as the mammoth grunts, but it looks to be quite hardy.
(The first attack is a straight roll from Cadmael's help, and the second with disadvantage, right?)
Maul attack: Straight Roll: Attack: 17 Damage: 42 bludgeoning damage. If it's with disadvantage, then the other d20 is 16. Disadvantage Roll: Attack: 18 Damage: 11
With a little help from Cadmael, Brask's instincts kick into high gear, listening and feeling for the mammoth's movements. On both of his attacks, he can feel the maul crash into the hide of the large beast.
Pip looks over to Effort. "Is Brask okay in there?" He has an arrow notched but stays back from the darkness.
Not seeing anything exit the darkness and (presumably) hearing noises inside, Kurama took a deep breath and entered, becoming completely blinded by the spell. Gingerly walking towards the source of the noise, should he run into something big and furry – which could be either Brask or the Mammoth xp – Kurama will activate his Astral Arms and attempt to strike it!
Perception in the darkness if needed (w/ disadvantage) : 15/ 16
Attack (w/ disadvantage): Hit - 27 (Nat 20!!) & 16/ Damage - 6 Force
Extra Attack (w/ disadvantage): Hit - 27 (Nat 20 again!!!) & 11/ Damage – 5 Force
BA Activate Astral Arms: Mammoth must make a DC15 DEX Save or take 11 force damage
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
With a 15 you can tell you're striking the mammoth - Brask is big but this thing is really, really big.
DEX save: 14 (So I think that's 22 total damage)
The mammoth grunts again as the monk's attacks find their target. The beast turns and swings its head toward Kurama, followed by a giant wooly leg stomping at him...
Attack: 13 Damage: 22
Attack: 16 Damage: 29
It's foot, unfortunately for Kurama, knocks the monk squarely in the chest and sends him reeling back. He grabs his side in pain, hoping there aren't too many broken ribs.
"Brask has still managed to avoid being hit," Effort reassures Pip as her eyes track the mammoth's panicked movements. She commands Cadmael to help the minotaur again, even as she tracks its motion with her eyes, before taking careful aim and sending to well-placed blasts into its side. The thick hide of the mammoth, so useful for holding the caltrop in place, also manages to block some of the dark, writing energy she sends into its side, and Effort hisses in annoyance.
"I am going to eat this annoying beast for my supper tonight," she snarls between gritted teeth.

Brasks's joyous laughter should be easily audible to Pip and the others: It's gonna take me days to eat you all up, but I'll finish every bite, I promise!
He gleefully smashes his maul towards where he hopes the delicious mammoth is: Attack: 10 Damage: 9 Attack: 16 Damage: 14

Eldritch Blast 1: 27
Damage: 11
Eldritch Blast 2: 24
Damage: 5
Both blasts connect, and while neither does the damage Effort was intending, the mammoth does seem to be slowing down a bit.
Brask, you're up! First attack without disadvantage.
