(Maya) Experience tells you that as a group you would most likely be spotted moving through the area up ahead. A lone individual skilled in stealth would have the best chance of moving through undetected.
(Maya) Moving carefully through the corridor you come upon the following. A large area tiled throughout---The floor is indigo, the walls in dark blue, and the ceiling is light blue. Four strong pillars support the ceiling. The room has a bed of seaweed all around the walls, rising about seven feet off the floor and perhaps about ten feet wide. A number off coffers, their lids closed, lie around the room.
Three long tables, benches to either side, are set in the center of the room.
Dozens of sahuagin here are gathered in small groups or floating in the seaweed beds.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Maya would observe the area and make some notes, cross referencing them with their objectives. In this case, she'd focus on 1 and 2, but of course keep in mind if there's anything notable for 3 or 4.

Determine the strength of the sahuagin forces. How many warriors, lieutenants, and other battle ready troops are present.
Locate important areas within the fortress: where are the warriors quartered. Same with officers. Most importantly, where are the leaders housed.
Discover any notable defensive measures: traps, areas specifically readied for defense, and other dangers the attacking force must avoid or overcome.
Discover how advanced the sahuagin preparations are and when they might mount their attack.
After hours of scouting the sahuagin fortress you determine the size, and composition of the sahuagin forces therein, along with traps and obstacles an attacking force might encounter. You return to Saltmarsh and brief the council. Based on your information the Saltmarsh forces and their allies assail the fortress two weeks later, catching the sahuagin off guard. After a short but fierce battle, most of the sahuagin are slain, with the rest fleeing into the oceans depths.
As a reward for your services the Party receives the following;
2400 GP
+1 Trident
+1 Shield
+1 Wand of the war mage
Silver Raven (Figurine of wonderous power.)
700 GP and a Favor. ( Free passage by ship from Saltmarsh to any destination 1 week away. This Favor can be called in at the Party's convenience.)
I would like that +1 shield, the raven I think anyone can hold onto, none of the rest of it is really for Toonary. How many ways are we splitting the gold?

Dear Friends,
First of all, I must congratulate all of you on your successful mission to the sahuagin stronghold. Your valiant efforts most surely led to the alliance's overwhelming success. For this reason, and your success with the Emperor of the Waves, I humbly ask that you contact a friend of mine, and offer your services. His name is Davus Raal.
(How much downtime would we have had? That’s kinda what I was waiting for. And yes please you two, take both of those items. Maya would take the wand.)
The party meets with Davus Raal, a human merchant in his late thirties. He asks that the Party track down a dwarf named, Morley. Morley owes Raal 8000 GP. Raal tells you that the dwarf was last spotted in Cormyr.
Davus smiles at Toonary, and shakes his head. "Morley is an ex business associate of mine." He informs "the Minotaur. Turning to Seethe he responds to the query. "Cormyr doesn't lay along any sea coast. However, The Dragonmere, an extremely large lake makes up its southern border, and is a tributary to The Sea of Fallen Stars. Morley was seen in Wheloon. A village that lies on the shores of the Dragonmere."

The letter would have arrived after 6 months of downtime.

"Is Morley friend or not friend, or money friend, or not not friend but not friend?" Toonary asks Davus.

Toonary is visably lost at this new idea of Business Associate.
