Seethe will call upon the divine power again trying to keep burning that undead creatures with holy radiance to the one that is getting close to her while trying to keep her distance.
( Cast word of radiance on the one approaching, not sure if it's the one that she got the first round... CON save 15 or take 4 radiant damage )
Seethe , the ghast makes its saving throw against your spell.
Suddenly the Ship is hit hard causing it rock violently. At the same time four gargantuan tentacles smash through the hull, and began to smash wildly about. Two the tentacles grab the ghasts, and violently dash them against the hull, turning them into paste. Sea water begins to pour into the hold.
Needless to say Combat is over. I need everyone to roll Initiative. Here's what's going to happen. While in the Hold at the start of each character's turn make a DC 10 Dexterity Saving Throw , or take 2d6 bludgeoning damage from a frantic thrashing tentacle.
Remember, You need to get Aubreck' s Box off the Emperor of the Waves. (You've already determined that the crate containing it is too big to remove from the Hold without mechanical help.)
The Sea will claim the Emperor of the Waves in 20 Rounds.
The genasi slwallows preparing for combat when she sees that the undead creature shrugs her spell and keeps chaging against her. Then, all of a sudden, the ship rocks and she barely keeps on her feet. She screams when the huge tentacle takes the ghast and squeezes it, dissapearing into the depths.
"Well... I didn't see this coming!" she yells " We need to take that box and get out of here!!"
(Gridolpho) The crate containing the Box is larger. Moving the crate is possible, but with seawater rushing in it would be very difficult. Opening the crate is possible with a crowbar, or by smashing it open. You would have to physically lay eyes on the Box to inspect how it opens.
(Everyone) If you're not aware by now I've enabled content sharing for the campaign. To better help your characters plan their escape with Aubreck's Box, please refer to the section entitled, Moving Aubreck' s Treasure on page 94 of Ghosts of Saltmarsh.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Toonary should be able to carry it, 20 feet per movement, so just want to check on DM ruling movement, action dash do I move 20 for each making a total of 40 feet, or is it a -10 total meaning that movement goes from 30 to 20 and action to dash stays 30 making 50 feet of movement?
Dex save 6
Damage 9
Int 9
Ath check to Cary it 24
(I wish we had a monk with a 18+ strength, and a way to cast hast on it, at would be even if it's -10 from each. 45 feet doubled to 90, down to 80 feet, movement, action dash, hasted action dash, BA step of the wind, total 320 feet per turn and that's not adding anything else crazy, it would also have advantage on the dex save so chances are it saves.)
(Toonary) You take 9 damage (b) from a thrashing tentacle.
Initiative Order.
Toonary
Gridolpho
Seethe
Maya
Kraken
(Toonary) Are you going to spend an action to open the crate? (Strength Check DC 15)
(Everyone) Remember the Hold counts as difficult terrain due to seawater rushing in .
(Everyone) Good News Everyone! The DM misinterpreted the Map. The Crate containing Aubreck's Box is located 15' from the stairs leading up to the lower deck.
(Everyone) The movement penalty for the Box applies to all movement.
Gridolpho's attack make short work of the ghast he's facing, leaving only two of the horrid creatures.

Is the crate containing the box the same size as the box or is the box a smaller item amongst other items in the crate?
What are the chances of moving the box itself?

Toonary, inside the crate is a box made of a strange blue metal. The box appears to be solid .
If Toonary has no more actions it's Gridolpho's turn.
Just checking in. The site hasn't been letting me post for the past few days.
