Jalt's eyes fill up with rage as he grabs his hand axe and throws it at Human 3..

(OOC:  If Jalt's chooses to throw his hand axe, it will be an attack at disadvantage, because he is making a ranged (thrown) attack within five feet range of Human Three.  He could make a melee attack instead, without disadvantage...)

C:  Kobolds

The two kobolds take aim with their little slings, dragon-like faces intense with concentration on their foe, Breena.

The first stone hits the gnome right in the face.  It hurts a lot.  Breena bends over instinctively to shield her face from further attack, luckily since the next stone goes zooming over her head.  

D:  Soar, Breena and Elspeth (in any order) are up.

(OOC: I saw the map wrong.. thought I was next to Soar. My rolls seem to be at disadvantage most of the time anyway)

"Ow!" Breena rubs her face where the stone hit. "Gods, that hurt!" And she raises her bow to fire an arrow at the kobold that hit her. "See how you like it!"

Elspeth will, once again, loosen a stone from her sling, aiming at human two.

Attack: 18 Damage: 7

Soar meets the charge of the cultists with her warhammer. (She wishes she knew enough about combat to know how to knock one of these cultists over the railing with her attack!)

Attack: 12 Damage: 5

Breena, you shoot the arrow, and it goes straight through the kobold's chest.  Kobold One is dead.

Elspeth, your stone slams into the woman's arm and she cries out in pain; she seems to be struggling to hold her weapon, but also is undeterred in her attacks.

Soar, your hammer blow finishes human two; the body collapses to the ground.  Human Two is dead.

Round Two:

B:  Jalt
C:  Kobold Two
D:  Soar, Elspeth and Breena, in any order

Both humans attack Jalt:

Human three gets a solid hit in with his scimitar, and Jalt is looking pretty bad.

B:  Jalt is up.

Jalt is visibly grimacing and in pain. He moves backwards, to the right of Badger and drops to a knee... he looks up to the sky... closes his eyes and casts Sacred Flame on Human 3

Human Three DEX save:  2

That's a fail, please roll 1d8 damage.

The man looks at you in surprise; the flame obviously hurt a little, but did very little damage.  

C:  Kobold Two

Alarmed at seeing its friend destroyed so easily, the kobold gives a mournful wail and tries to take revenge upon Breena:

Attack: 13 Damage: 5

The stone from the kobold's sling strike the gnome, and she falls unconscious.  The kobold's gleeful victory laugh is horrible to hear.

D:  Soar and Elspeth in any order.  Breena, please make a death saving throw.

Soar steps forward, very angry that these jerks keep trying to take down her and her friends. "That's not very nice, stop it!" she yells as she tries to feed human 3 her warhammer.

Okay, so slight retconning... gimme a sec.

Jalt moves back, and the two humans take their Opportunity Attacks:

And they both miss!  Updated map incoming:

Soar's strike is emphatic, and Human Three is no more.

Elspeth is up.  Death saving throw from Breena, please.

Death saving throw: 13 

Elspeth, distressed as she watches the kobolds strike at Breena, but trusting that Jalt will keep the gnome safe, stays back and shoots off another stone at Human One. 

Attack: 6 Damage: 7

Breena is still bleeding out and in danger, but that's one success.

Elspeth misfires, her arrow launching at a weird angle, hitting the walls and clattering away uselessly.

Round Three:

A:  Human One
B:  Jalt
C:  Kobold Two
D:  Soar, Elspeth and Breena, in any order

The remaining human, seeing his comrades fall but also heartened to see Breena fall, renews his attacks on Soar, crying The Queen!

Attack: 18 Damage: 6

This time the attack is successful; Soar takes a wound to her side, and the attacker grows in confidence.

Jalt is up.

Jalt looks down as his fallen friend, places a hand on Breena....Irisv Nomeno Xiekiv Jennu Bahamut and casts Spare The Dying

Afterwards, he positions himself in front of her and raises his shield to protect her until she gets back on her feet.

Breena is stable and no longer needs to make death saving throws, but she is still unconscious.

C:  Kobold Two is now aiming at Soar.

Attack: 14 Damage: 6

The stone rockets out - it would have hurt a lot if it had hit, but it misses Soar's ear and hits the wall, bouncing and tumbling along the floor.

D:  Soar and Elspeth in any order.  Unless Breena is revived, she is stable but unconscious and takes no action.

Soar grunts in pain as the scimitar bites into her shoulder through heir chainmail. It's a bad wound. "I don't think your queen seems very nice if she wants you doing this. Maybe she can take it up with the God of Death... he has some openings in his schedule."

She twists around and with a giant backswing of her hammer, tries to smash the cultist.
