Edgewalkers Campaign Thread

Meiara will search for some animals that she might be able to speak to and gain information from.

Vusgaar:

Vusgaar is able to find some off duty patrolmen to talk to. Give me a Persuasion to see what you can learn and tell me what you ask.

Demetrios:

You find a group who just returned from patrol. They're happy to tell you about the maze and answer your questions (let me know what you ask them).

Meiara:

It takes you a bit, but once you get away from the slashed and burned area, you find some animals that are extraordinarily nervous about the maze itself. Persuasion check and let me know what you ask them.

Meiara ritual casts Speak With Animals and walks up to the animals. "Hi there, my name is Meiara. I see that you all look a little nervous, could I ask what the cause of that might be?"

Persuasion: 8

The rabbit you're approaching gives a shiver. "Dark mountains scary. Dark mountains bad. Dark mountains predator."

In his most professional and taciturn way possible, Vusgaar formally introduces himself before almost immediately launching into the meat and potatoes of his request.

Persuasion: 6.

"What predator is there in the mountain?"

"Dark mountain is predator!" The rabbit starts to get agitated. "Bad! Bad! Bad!"

Jenna stood there clearly enjoying the conversation Meiara was having with the rabbit, and Vusgaar attempting to introduce himself. She glances down at Quacky Chan, who looks back at Jenna, shaking his head in sadness. Jenna looked at the camera like she was on The Office with a very amused look on her face.

"I don't understand. How is a mountain a predator? Mountains don't eat things."

"Mountain hate! Mountain bad! Mountain want eat! Bad! Bad! Bad! Bad!"

"Ok. Thank you." Meiara goes looking for a bird in this area that she can speak to.

There are plenty of birds you can talk to.

Seeing as how everyone had everything under control, Quacky gave a loud honk and Jenna looked down, nodding in agreement. "Sure, why not." she said to the duck, and both of them walked over to Demetrios. Demetrios was indeed a massive hulk of man, and Jenna came to about his lower shoulder in height. She picked up Quacky and jogged swiftly up to him, letting Quacky waddle next to her as they caught up. "May we join you?" she asked calmly, "The others uh..seem to have it under control." she said, doing her best to remain serious while leaving a humorous situation.

Meiara waves down a bird. "Hello, can I ask you a few questions?"

A raven flies down and perches on a lower branch about eye level with Meiara. "Very well."

"Yes, I was wondering if you could explain what is going on in the mountain. I've heard that there's a sort of darkness there."

"The mountain and its walled corridors are evil," the raven says simply.

"Do you have any more information other than that?"

"All who enter its walls do not return," the raven says. "All except the Old Toothed."

"What is the Old Toothed?"
