A few points were noteworthy from what the Redbrand’s shared, so Fae would be sure to jot those down before any of it could slip her mind. The wizard would look back to Ethan, “I believe it’s a Nothic.” The wizard would look blankly to the Redbrands as she’d rhyme off the creatures dangers though, “They have a small amount of telepathy skills that can glimpse into your mind, and they can make your flesh rot with a single gaze.” She’d nod in appreciation for what the Redbrands were able to scrape together for them.
There was nothing else that the scholar desired to inquire about at this time, so with that she’d turn to Sildar and Giselle. Fae would approach with a respectful bow of her head in greeting. She would glance over her shoulder to the leftover Redbrands, “I imagine the authorities, or the townspeople, will tend to handling the rest of these affairs? Should our opinion have any effect on the matter, with the information they shared, I’d be in support of Arvel’s suggestion: fair trials for appropriate punishment in shape of community service and probation. ” The wizard would take a breath after political portion of the discussion. She really did prefer it when Arvel was here to handle the logistics.
Looking back ahead, Fae’s posture would relax as she’d move on to less political matters. “How are you both?” She’d await their responses with a genuine smile.
Zeke would have stayed directly behind Fae and Ethan during their questioning of the Redbrands - a not so subtle reminder of the consequence of not cooperating.
As the talk turned to rest for the weary, he would turn and look to Sidlar Hallwinter 'Where would the safest place be to keep these hooligans until the town can decide how to handle them?'
Sildar and Sister Garaele look at Fae and at each other and nod with satisfaction. They seem to agree with giving some of these young Redbrands a second chance, given the situation. Sildar asks aloud "Daran, you said there are cells under the Townmaster's office?" "Let's put them in there and figure it out from there."
Sister Garaele replies to Fae "this town needed a few heroes, thank you." "Daran and I had discussed helping them fight back against the Redbrands in the past, but it seemed like a loosing effort without more help. We're very glad to have you."
Sildar replies "I think they'll need you to finish the job before you leaving for too long." "We don't want them to regret this effort." He pauses and looks around to find Gundren. "Come on old friend, let's get you inside for some rest." Sildar starts gently leading the dwarf inside. Before entering the Inn he turns and says "I suppose our mutual friend here owes you some payment, eh? We'll take care of that very soon."
Relieved there was agreement and a plan decided on for the Redbrands. Fae was able to relax a little more. When Sildar would reply, she would turn her head to see him off with Gundren. It was not the same spirited image of the pair compared to the first time Fae saw them together, but it was nice to see them reunited all the same. The wizard would lift her hand as if to stop Sildar from worrying about payment. “Business can wait. Please take care of yourselves first.” She’d encourage.
Fae would then turn to address Garaele with a warm smile, “I believe the feeling is mutual. We were thankful to have the support of the towns people.” The wizard would nod her head to the cleric, her voice softening. “And I must thank you again for tending to Zeke’s wounds for me.” Her eyes would glance down to her hands before looking back up to Sister Garaele, “Actually, while back in town I was hoping we could maybe have some tea... I do wish to ask you something.”
The scholar would turn to look up at their artificer, “I believe if any one can do it, it’s you Ethan.” Fae would offer an encouraging smile. “Would you like any help?” Her head would tilt with the question.
Seeing that the Redbrands are well in hand and the group seems to be planning for when to go deal with the Nothics and the Wizard, Tarja finds a few spare minutes to cast Speak with Animals as a ritual to greet Horton.
Welcome! We haven't had a chance to talk yet. Thanks for stamping out the fire elemental, hope you didn't get burned too badly! You're going to be around for a day before turning back into a statue. We'll find you something to eat in the meantime.
Zeke stays close to Fae as the Reedbrands are rounded up and moved into custody. He then turns towards the Stonehills and looks to secure the party rooms to rest for the evening.
'I would like to purchase some rooms for my friends to rest in for the evening, and perhaps a hot meal to restore their spirits.' As he speaks he reaches into his coin purse and drops 100 gold on the counter, coins spilling out of his hands and bouncing along the floor.
Elra goes back to the braizer and attempts to move it by herself, following the rest of the party. "Um... I think I'll just leave this in my room for now."
"FLAME HURT!" replies Horton, his trunk brushing against blackened areas on his left side. "EAT!"he continues after Tarja's promise.
"That won't be necessar..."starts Toblen Stonehill while Zeke spills gold all over the place. "Oh, well, yes, ah, rooms, food and drink a'plenty for all of you and Mr. Rockseeker here."
As Elra starts to try to carry the brazier alone Elmar Barthen quickly comes to assist. The dwarf remarks "oh no, Ms., you'll always have friends and a helping hand in Phandalin!"
Mrs. Stonehill gently takes Gundren upstairs at the inn and helps get him settled in for some much needed rest. The Rockseeker brother is still silent and deeply shaken by his ordeal. Sildar turns his attention to Daran, Zeke and the Redbrands, helping the elf and the tiefling escort them to the townmaster's hall. Harbin Wester nervously bobs about the group, remarking to no one in particular "oh dear... what will... surely we'll pay... what of the wiz.. oh dear... this is troubling..." but few pay any attention to him.
(Would Tarja know someone around who would have large quantities of animal feed, like hay for horses or cows? Or a nearby grove to take Horton to browse?)
Absolutely. Barthen and a few other folks around town stable at least a few horses each, Daran now tends an orchard in his retirement, there are a number of farms including those owned by Qelline Alderleaf and the old man named Narth. Tarja is also very familiar with a number of particularly lush grassy areas near nearby streams that Horton may enjoy.
“I’ll catch up. I won’t be long.” Fae will offer the others a smile as they head into the inn.
The wizard will trot over to one of the local store owners before they would lock up for the evening. “Excuse me.” Fae would dip her head in a shy greeting. “I was hoping I could restock on some ink and supplies before I retire to study for the evening. I hope it isn’t too much trouble.” Fae would happily exchange the appropriate gold for the new supplies.
On her way back to the inn, Fae would slow down and pause for a moment. She’d look in the direction of the shrine. I promised I wouldn’t be long... and I shouldn’t keep Ethan waiting.I can come back later. She’ll turn her head to look in the direction of the wizards assumed hideout, remembering it simply as a building before today. The scholar will then look down at the ground, wiggling her feet. Funny the things that could be right under your nose. Shrugging to herself, the scholar will make her way back to the inn.
Fae will approach the counter to pay for her room and collect her key, only to find out Zeke had paid for them already. Including a meal. “Oh!” She’d turn to see if Zeke and the others already retired to their rooms for the evening, or if they may be in the common area before she’d accept her meal.
"Oh, thank you!" Elra smiles and accepts the help. Once the braizer is sitting in her room she goes back downstairs to get something to eat, pulling out of piece of paper and starts writing another letter to the Loremaster. Vincent stands on the back of another chair, watching her as she does so. "I hope the Loremaster is as excited as I am," Elra says to him. "I'll send the letter out in the morning so you have plenty of daylight."
Zeke will thank the innkeeper for his help and then proceed to walk the perimeter of the Inn, checking the entrances and making sure the party's chambers are secure for the night.
Once he had completed his rounds, the barbarian would settle into a corner of the Inn's common room, taking his meal with a clear view of the door and the entrance to the party's rooms.
A large creature, he would take full advantage of the Stonehill's hospitality and eat and drink his fill, finally settling back to nibble on a handful of nuts while sipping his ale, quietly keeping watch and waiting for the rest of the party to come in and get settled.
Fae would spot Zeke in his strategic spot in the corner of the common room. It looked as though the others were still out or already in their rooms. She’d put her hand up in a small wave to their protector before turning back to the counter to accept her meal and drink. The wizard would pad over to the table, “May I join you?” She’d ask softly before placing anything down on the table.
Looking around the room again, Fae would wonder out loud, “Elra and Ethan?” She’d tilt her head, “Already hit the books?” She’d look down at her meal wondering if they forgot their dinner. Her eyes would glance back to Zeke, “If they don’t come down, perhaps we should bring them theirs?”. Fae would look back to the entrance. “Arvel return yet? Tarja?” Feeling a little rambly for firing off so many questions, the wizard would bite her lip to stop herself there.

At Fae's remarks that the one eyed creatures are probably Nothics and just what that means, Ethan lets out a sigh.
"Right so they wont disintegrate you with a beam from their eyes, but they can rot your flesh, much better."
"Maybe we can avoid these Nothics, just go for the wizard?"
At the mention of resting before attempting to investigate the manor, Ethan relaxes a little.
"Yeah I wouldn't mind getting working on this..."
Ethan taps the cage holding the unstable bag of holding within.
"...wouldn't want to loose it by accident, if I can."

Having slipped away, Arvel banishes Krikket into "the pocket" as he approaches the temple of Tymora.
Stepping inside, he stares up at the iconography while working the two-headed coin in his hand.
He waits.
And waits.
And waits.
"Yeah. That's what I thought. I must be losing my mind. I've got so many other people in my head that I don't need to go looking for another one."
Steeling himself, he straightens his clothes and turns to leave.
"Well, back to the dance..."
