Tarja continues running towards the commotion. What if the Black Spider or Glasstaff has come for Gundren again! She tries to get there as fast as she can. (Action: dash).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zeke stutters for a moment in the doorway, unsure of what to do and who to protect. Arvel has been his comrade and his companion, he had gladly backed the charlatan's plays in the face of dangers of all sorts. Was Arvel the danger or was Sister Garaele at fault?
Erring on the side of caution, the barbarian takes the deep breath he learned in the temple and then throws himself at the Warlock, wrapping him up and attempting to keep him from stabbing the prone dwarf.
A small gasp of surprise would leave Fae's lips as Zeke opened the door, presenting the sight before them. Her heart would want to fall out of her chest as she'd watch the wave of emotions pass over Elra's face. The wizard's violet eyes would soften.
As Elra makes the decision to tend to Sister Garaele, Fae would glance up to Zeke for him to allow her to slip by into the room before him as well. She'd sweep in and take up a position between Arvel and any window(s) as an attempt to block an escape. Her eyes would scan his, hoping to find a way to avoid any more physical violence.
(I'll ready action this for if he some how gets out of grapple, since I was a bit slow:)
Fae would reach a palm out in his direction, "Hold it." The wizards eyes would begin to ink over black.
With a leap over Sister Garaele and the corner of the bed, Zeke is quickly upon Arvel and his dagger, wrapping him up as the warlock had started to reach for Gundren with the long, thin blade.
Fae blocks the window and readies her spell as Tarja arrives at Gundren's door to see this scene unfold, including now Gundren awake and wide eyed at the two figures and dagger looming over him. He is frozen and tugging at his bedsheets.
Arvel attempts to escape on his turn (with a 19 Dexterity check which Zeke can try to oppose with Athletics or Acrobatics. If Zeke fails, Fae's spell will take effect using the excellent Portent. Either way Sister Garaele is simply stable on her turn and Ethan can act.)
Still with dagger in hand, Arvel was held in place facing her and the window. Unable to disarm him, Fae would stand her ground with her arm out and maintain her focus with steady breaths. Her eyes, now completely black from using her divination magic, would search Arvel's. "Is it you?" Was it actually him? Was he influenced?
Zeke feels Arvel slip from his grasp and stumbles backward as the warlock gets loose. Shaking his shield back into it's holstered position on his shoulder, the barbarian moves to position himself between Arvel and the rest of the party, slowly unwrapping Moradin's Grasp, ready to use it to wrap up and pull down Arvel again as needed.
Fae quickly glances around to double check, but confirms there is no sign of Krikket. She hasn't seen him in at least a few hours, nor did she see a lot of Arvel after returning from the redbrand hideout, come to think of it.
As Tarja has a moment to look around, seeing that Arvel is grappled, she calls out -
Arvel! What in the blazes has gotten into you! What's going on here???
On her next turn, she'll try to get between Arvel and Gundren. Action TBD, still got a few other actions before mine, I think, and maybe Arvel will say something interesting.
Tarja realizes that Arvel is actually completely paralyzed by Fae's spell and cannot speak or even look at her.
Fae isn't sure what's up with Arvel, but notices that she's never seen such a vicious look from him as just now when he went for Gundren again, even during their previous battles together. Come to think of it, she's also never been in a room with him for ten seconds or more without him having something to say, either!
Fae’s brows would furrow, her eyes narrowing for a moment in thought. “I don’t think it’s him... I can’t tell physically or mentally for sure... but... This isn’t the Arvel we know...” It just... didn’t feel right. And she was sure enough it wasn’t just wishful thinking. Right?
“As long as I can maintain my concentration, and his mind doesn’t break free of my hold, 1 minute.” Fae would give Zeke a gentle nod of her head to proceed. It should not interfere with her spell.
(If there are no attacks against her, and Arvel is unable to resist, she can hold it for 1 min.)
"Was this Arvel's doing? Was he trying to kill Gundren too?"
Ethan latches on to Fae's words, unwilling to see his friend as responsible for these kinds of actions.
"Right, he's probably under a spell, or maybe it's a doppelganger."
Ethan steps up to Arvel, as Zeke begins to bind him, and pinches his cheek, trying to see if it really is Arvel, not thinking things through and realising it will take more than that, to deduce the truth.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zeke immediately begins wrapping Arvel in the magical chain, using it's grappling properties to lock the charlatan down and making sure he can't hurt himself or anyone else while the smarter members of the party figure out whats going on
Rolls if needed, feel free to tell me to adjust - will burn another rage to get advantage on strength - do I need to roll an attack, one below in case I do - and Zeke would back up to avoid the disadvantage of being within 5ft
Attack roll if needed Attack: 16 Damage: 6
Athletics: 16.

Ethan opens the door, to see his friends disappearing into Gundren's room.
"Hey, whats happening?!"
Ethan heads over, looking into the doorway to see, Zeke grappling with Arvel and Fae holding spell ready, pointed in Arvel and Zeke's direction.
Seeing Elra hovering over a downed Sister Garaele, Ethan asks again,
"What is going on?!? Why are you fighting? What happened to Sister Garaele?!"
Quinn hovers close over Ethan's shoulder.
"Αυτό φαίνεται επικίνδυνο αφέντη, ίσως πρέπει να πάρουμε αμυντική θέση, να τους αφήσουμε να τελειώσουν ο ένας τον άλλον;"
"Τότε μπορούμε να χτυπήσουμε αυτούς που παραμένουν, ενώ είναι αδύναμοι."
"This looks dangerous master, maybe we should take up a defensive position, let them finish each other off?"
"Then we can strike those that remain, while they are weak."
Ethan waves his hand at Quinn,
"Just stay behind me and don't shoot unless I tell you to."
Ethan looks at all of his friend's in confusion, unsure what to do.

Arvel squirms and wiggles and shoots out of Zeke's arms.

Arvel slips free of Zeke's grasp but is immediately frozen by Fae's spell. The Arvel statue now stands between Fae and Zeke, facing the window.
