Laievis did not remember when was the last time he enjoyed himself that much. Flying was amazing! Unbelievable, wonderful, unbelievably wonderful! He did not understand how he could live all his life without knowing that feeling! And the view! Was it thin air effect, excitement of the first - and successful! fly - but Laievis felt absolutely happy and free as ... well, bird, and secretly wished the Crossroads would never appear. At least for the next two hours he should not have to scout the ground and enjoy open sky.
He gentle caressed eagles feathers and whispered: "I'll call you Taenaran. And I am sure we can become great friends."
Right as Gorlahk and the group depart, a familiar little Dwarven girl runs up to Saerrira...she's clutching a teddy bear....
"Oy Silver Dragon Lady! I've been looking for you everywhere! "
She tosses the teddy bear to Saerrira, right as she takes off.
"Take Mister Growly with you! You'll need him more than me, now! Mister Growly, I command you to protect Saerrira from now on!
The teddy bear glows, as it lands perfectly on Saerrira's lap...
The group flies up above the City, with a cold (but not freezing) wind tickling their cheeks, admiring the entire City in all of its majesty, and the mighty Nâr Barâk Mountains below them, stretching as far as the eye can see....
Gorlahk leads on, frequently falling back to talk to the group. His friendship with Uther serves as a welcome Ice Breaker, and he acts friendly to whoever speaks to him. After a couple of hours flying above the Granit Plains and the Canyons, the 6 Eagles reach the Crossroads, a cliff-lined intersection of two main trading routes, one going East-West, and the other going North-South...
Between the cliffs and the road, a thick canopy of Pine trees fills in the blanks, making it hard to see down below....Gorlahk falls back, once more...
"Look! Down there! I see a campfire!"
Anyone with a passive perception equal or higher than 12 also notices it...
(I have a passive perception of 14, and when I rolled it was almost a Nat 20 but it had just enough momentum to land on a 2 :P, total of 6, unless I can just use my passive score)
Saerirra glances down at the dwarven girl and smiles after taking hold of the teddy bear.
In dwarvish, she says to her, "Thank you! I am sure he will be very helpful for us!"
Saerirra keeps the teddy bear held snugly next to her small pack tucked in the sash of her dress.
"And I can see many ... it's like small foxholes and some moving shapes. What do we do? Report back or land and look closer?" shouted Laievis back to Gorlahk.
Cade - Looks down and sees what appears to be battlements that have been prepared and says, "Uh...guys?! We may want to do something about this situation!"
OOC: There is simpler solution - to fly up or away :) But Ok

Sanctuary on the Gorlahk's eagle:
"Gorlahk, call for reinforcements! You should be safe if you fly away right now!"
Laievis moves out of the range of the bows, and using his keen eyes a 320 feet range of his crossbow, shoots himself in the closest shape he can recognize as a threat: Attack: 11 Damage: 13

Peshley spots the campfires down below but notices nothing unusual about them, other than the fact they are there. Then, she notices bows pointed in her direction.
(Safe to assume we are bound by the movement rate of the giant eagles)
Maintaining the 150ft height, Saerirra will use the full 80ft from the eagle to fly back towards the army and yell to them, inspiring Uther before she does.
"Ambush ahead! Unknown number of enemies!

Laievis and Peshley seem to do the best. Peshley actually beats Gorlahk to the finish!
As the 15th Squadron departs and splits into multiple groups, Gorlahk turns to the Knights of the Hanging Chicken.
"Alright, to the Crossroads! Its only a couple hours ride from here!"

Cade and Laievis, after further inspection, can distinguish many small foxholes scattered around the campfire...and moving shapes....dozens of them.
The Eagles are all currently 150 feet up in the air...
