Shrike holds a sword to Lucia and says, "Stop! Stand back or I will kill her now."

Potion so that fire doesn't kill me. 9

Shrike points to Shirai with his sword and says, "Potion. Give him a potion now!"

Tomoe pulls out on of her potions, hopefully getting out if the fire in the process. She bends over to feed him the potion. 

Let her go as I feed him this potion, yes?

Tomoe waits until Shrike starts to let Lucia go and feeds Shirai the potion.

He says, "DO IT NOW! OR ELSE!"

Tomoe feeds Shirai the potion. Wake up Shirai-kun. You and your brothers deaths would be a waste.

As Shirai gets up, Shrike shouts, "MOVE SHIRAI! MOVE MOVE MOVE!" Shrike keeps holding Lucia hostage until he and his brother gets to a safe distance. Then he kicks her away and books it.

Combat Victory-ish. You get 756 XP

Kate says, "We need to go. Now!" Lucia is coughing and gasping, being able to breathe again.

Tomoe makes sure everyone gets out of the soon to be inferno. 

Is everyone one well ?

Kate shrugs, "Eh, I'm fine for the most part."

Lucia coughs, "Could be better."

Priya says, "I could do without the near dying."

(OOC: I honestly can't believe you survived this. Must have been the potions and Kate's damage. Also planning. Planning helped too.)

Aye, i could do with a little less nearly dying too. Tomoe goes to check on Lucia. Did i do the right thing? letting them go ? I do not think i could live with myself you had been killed because I could not show my enemy mercy.

Lucia coughs a bit more and says, "Depends on how big of a threat the target is. Shirai is not too much of a threat. Shrike is a big threat. We should've taken him down. My fault for botching it up really."

Tomoe sighs I think we might be lucky to all be alive. Tomoe looks down at her dress over her armor Maybe they will leave us alone  while we lick our wounds. I need a new dress. This one is cut to shreds and covered in my own blood.

Priya decides to part ways while the other 3 of you begin to head back to base.

(Also, I forgot if you paid Priya or not. I will say that you did)

Back at base Kate mentions something, "One thing I find disturbing: how did they know your name, Tomoe?"

(OOC i suspect it was Kyle)

I do not know. I have not told many my name. King only knew my face, and the assassin girl is being watched by my retainers. As far as they tell me she left town. That leaves you Kate, Lucia, Priya and Kyle. Unless the man who hired me for my first job has outed me. Unless the rumors we spread to lure out Shirai were too effective. 

Tomoe ponders. not wanting to believe she has been betrayed.

Kate shakes her head, "Kyle's a sweetheart. He wouldn't do something like that. Besides, he doesn't even have any connections to Rat Liver." she adds further, "Priya is a mercenary. Going after her while she's not working with us is risky as we Mercs tend to stick together. So I think we can rule her out." Lucia says, "Do you remember that man we noticed while we were shopping, Tomoe? He didn't hear our names but what if there were men who were eavesdropping on us? But then...  " She shakes her head and says, "We weren't betrayed but it doesn't make sense. If we were spied on from afar or betrayed by Priya or Kyle, then they would know ALL of our names, not just yours and Kate's. But if this wasn't the case, they aren't supposed to have known your name. This doesn't make any sense. There's a puzzle piece missing here."

Tomoe sneezes and sprays a bit of blood everywhere. First things first. We need to rest and recover from that fight. Tomoe looks to the building now behind her to see how much of it is on fire. 

I need to see a taylor too. She knows my name. 

As Tomoe looks back she sees that the Town Guard has arrived. They are being led by a blue dragon born who is not wearing any armor other than a bone helmet. He is leading a squad of heavily armored and armed guards through putting the fire out and evacuating the building.

Tomoe whispers to Lucia Do we tell him what happened ?

"We could. Though he might have us stick around for a while then."

If we alert the guard, could that buy us a few days ? it seems our foes are now coming for us and in earnest. We may be getting in deeper than we mean to currently.
