Tomoe respectfully declines for fights. I believe I have pressed my luck enough for one day. I will be back soon enough. she returns to the others. 

(Given time, I will outpace Kate in damage. Imagine this. 8 attacks with advantage. Two turns in a row. I may end up taking the archery based feats. )

(Well that's too be expected. Out of the non-spell casting classes, Fighter is DPS, Barbarian is Tank and Rogue is Burst damage)

"I see. Well, I will hope to see you again."

As are about to leave you notice the champ enter the arena. If what Chiea said was true, whoever she would be facing tonight is going to become paste.

You regroup outside, a bit further away from the arena. Lucia waves you over and says, "So? How'd it go?"

It went well for me, but poor Emi-chan nearly died.

It was awful, the audience kept throwing rocks and acid at me. I couldn't focus long enough to even hit him. Then they sent this giant bull after me. 

Lucia cringes a bit as she hears what a terrible time Ingrid had, "Eesh that sounds rough. Maybe Emi-chan should sit out on Arena fights from now on." She turns to look at Tomoe and says, "So Chief, what's the plan for tomorrow?"

We have a fair bit of coin. Maybe we could try to find the mysterious black market where we could upgrade our gear.

Kate mentions, "If I remember right, the secret entrance to the black market is in the Slums."

We should try to find it. 

(So... I just slept for 11 hours thanks to sleeping pills. This is fine though)

"Yeah we should though whenever we go searching for it, we should be prepared for a fight. If the entrance is in the slums but the Guard haven't found it, then there's a high chance it's hidden deep in the heart of it. At that point, it would be as dangerous as the forest."

Lucia acknowledges Kate's words and says, "If that's the case, it's your call Chief. When do we go? Should we try finding it now or rest up tonight and search tomorrow?"

Let us rest for the night. Some if us have had a harrowing day. 

Lucia glances at the deathly tired look on Ingrid. They've had near death encounters before but Ingrid looks especially bad tonight, almost like a dead man walking. Lucia says, "Right. Let's head back then."

Once you're back at the slums, you see a letter waiting for you.

Tomoe looks at the letter. I thought noone knew we were here? She reads the letter.

(OOC: I accidentally said "Slums". I wanted to say Sewers)

The letter is from Kyle. It reads

Hey

So, Kate told me about the bad shit that went down at your old base last night. I'm glad all of you got out of it alive. I think you're all pretty stressed out right now so why not unwind a bit? You guys were in the slums and now you're in the sewers hiding from Rat Liver right? Kate told me about your new base and it must be pretty stinky. So why don't you drop by my house tomorrow night for dinner? I'll cook up a real good meal for you.

Tomoe reads the letter out loud to the girls.

Kate seems happy, "That's pretty nice. Kyle is so caring."

That sounds very nice. Hopefully our day is fruitful enough. But for now, let us try to ignore this smell and get ready for tomorrow. Tomoe is a little conflicted with Kyle. She trusts Kate and Kyle hasn't shown any real signs of abuse. But she also trusts Lucia. 

The night passes with no further ambush. Tomoe's retainers searched but unsurprisingly, they were unable to find the small Tiefling girl.

We head to the slums. Our expert detective will lead the way to finding the underground markets. 

Lucia's investigation roll: 22

(I'm surprised Lucia got that. She usually has terrible rolls. Maybe Ingrid absorbed her bad luck?)

You spend the better part of the day looking around and doing detective stuff (I'm too lazy to go into great detail). Finally,  Lucia says, "Alright, I think I've figured it out. You've noticed there are lots of sewer entrances in this place right? Well there seems to be too many sewer entrances. Some of them were holes made by the people living here. I believe that in the deep heart of the slums, there might be a very legitimate looking sewer entrance that actually leads to The Undertown (where the black market is). Now the problem is that the heart of the slums is like a labyrinth. People built things without any care or consideration of the buildings around it so it will be easy for people to get lost. I think a lot of guards did get lost and was then killed when they went searching for it. However, I'm confident we can find it since we don't look like Guards."

After her explanation she says, "So, Chief. What do you want to do now? It's almost sundown. You want to pick this up again tomorrow or continue searching?"

Great job my love. Tomoe exclaims and gives Lucia a kiss as reward. let us start fresh in the morning. I would hate to wander around at night knowing who is after us. And it would be rude to keep Kyle waiting.
