Glory fashions a face mask from her own disguise kit, then attempts to see if she can use Green-flame blade to burn anything. If that is unsuccessful, she will try to negotiate her way down carefully.

Glory begins to hack but realizes that the green flame blade isn't working. She can cut the moss normally but there is still a risk of hitting one of the unseen spore sacks.

Glory does so and... 15
She strikes a spore sac and is unable to dodge out of the way in time. She gets covered in spores and those algal worms. The worms would have entered her body through the mouth but the mask stopped it. Now the worms are trying to find some opening to enter Glory.
Endurance will also wrap his face and will burning hands part of what is there, and then seeing the pitons and rope that varis has look to see how the side of the cliff looks to see if going along is viable
Burning hands or fire seem to work better than swords and shovels. The burning hand burns some of the moss but it seems it would take 2-3 uses to clear the path. At one point the burning hand hits a spore sack but instead of spewing the worms everywhere, it makes a hissing sound. It seems fire is safer and can clear the path. It doesn't pose any real danger except for the horrid smell the moss releases when it starts to burn. However, it will take longer. You can clear the path completely should you spend a day or three burning through the moss.
Yuldra keeps pew-pewing at the tapeworms from a safe distance which presumably working a treat since she hasn't move on to trying Shatter. Pew! Pew-pew!

Alright from the above actions, I've come to the conclusion that you plan to spam Burning Hands and Eldritch blasts (for worms) until you clear the path.
It takes a lot of time and by the amount of rests you've taken, you assume that more than a day has passed in this effort. Luckily the mold doesn't seem to regenerate. When the flames hit the spore sacs, you can hear a sizzling before exploding. Luckily when these sacs explode, all the worms are already dead from the fluid they were swimming in heating up.
You have to deal with the extreme stench for more than a day. Luckily your mask helps out with that.
Once the path is clear, Yuldra takes her bow and... waits for someone else to go first, wrinkling her nose at the stench. And the smell of the burning mold too. That was an "Endurance stinks" insinuation.
After more hours of walking, you find your self at a light house sitting near the cliff. There is a eerie violet glow coming from the top of the light house.
"It's definitely probably just a warning pyre that's been burning for the last half a century with no one to tend it, and almost certainly not some kind of mutant fungal lighthouse keeper/lighthouse monstrosity. We should totally go up there and see. Age before beauty..."Yuldra graciously makes way for the burlier party members.
@Numb yeah, I don't see why the disguise kit shouldn't have a ninja face wrap. It has one and you can use it.

Varis gets clear of the stuff and tries to find some fresher air that doesn't smell like Endurance.

I'm impressed you can smell Endurance over your own stench. Endurance had a bath more recently than most of the party.

"Well at least this is still here. The map isn't hopeless. I'm sure a purple glow is nothing to worry about"
