Over the next hour an and a half, the two porters manage to stabilise the ship-s mid section, and with the rest of the nails available do the best to stabilise the bow as well. Shae makes her rounds, making sure that everyone on the main deck that is injured gets their wounds dressed and looked at.
Everyone can spend Hit dice to heal up somewhat, but Shae's medicine kit is used up completely.
With the Unseen servant helping to refill waterskins, and with Berrus providing a way to bring over the other two barrels, everyone still on the ship drinks their fill, but the 15 gallons of water still available aren't enough to cover everyone's needs, and after the barrels are empty, the rest has to be topped off with the found wine in the cargo hold. Not ideal, but at least some liquid.
Sitting with the Captain, the Professor tries to determine where exactly the crash site was. all the information that Thasselandra can give him though is that they were headed along the eastern coast of Chult, and were somewhere south of the Sky Lizard mountains, from where the Pterafolk and the Roc attacked them. She doesn't remembered which way the ship went from there.

Flax’ arm has been splinted by Shae already, and without Zip applying any of his tinctures, salves or potions, his arm will heal naturally. You could offer him some tej to dull the pain, at the risk of getting Flax drunk and less able to contribute to any tasks.
If anyone is drunk, they receive a -5 penalty to perception checks, and have disadvantage on initiative rolls. Furthermore, Dexterity checks also receive disadvantage.
To determine, if someone is drunk, they have to roll a Con save after taking three gulps of wine or two gulps of tej. The DC is 12, but increases by 3 for every additional gulp.

”Thank you for taking care of the Captain.” Shae would offer her hand to shake for a gesture of apology and a proper introduction. “My name is Shae. How are you doing?”
Considering everything happening around girls change of heart was on the bother of heroics and Magixe was never able to hold grudges anyway. "Maxine" She accepted the hand and as politely as she could shacked it. "I think we can fix your pulley here after all. That collection of ropes we have - should be enough. You see ...". She realized Shae looked way too tired to go into details of rope splicing and stopped. "Well, the point is - we can do it".
As Shae left, Maxine with Zip's help got to business: ends of every two pieces were split, weaved together and Mended: Maxine took out two lodestones from one of her pouch, carefully put under the formal break and moved another over it, slowly muttering some words.
After a couple of minutes, Maxine manages to fix the rope to have about 200 ft of hempen rope available for the pulley

Looking at his maps, Professor S is shocked at what the captain tells him, his eyes darting to the horizon to look for the mountains, but seeing only trees blocking his view.
”Captain”, he says tensely, “We were supposed to be on the way to Port Nyanzaru, correct? From Baldurs’s Gate? How in the Nine Hells did we miss it by hundreds of leagues to the south!!??” Professor S seems to be on the verge of panicking with most of Chult between them and their destination.
Sorry, I missed the part about Flasx’s arm being splinted.

After some rest and now confident she can move about the area without fear of tripping and collapsing, Shae would begin inspecting the foliage in detail within her reach. She’d find a vine, and with one of her trusty daggers still on her, she’d slice the vine, hoping for water. She’d hold her dagger between her teeth while she’d hold the vine to the mouth of her waterskin.
If it works, she’d flag someone down to bring an empty barrel close to her for harvest. It may not be quick work, or a heavy stream of water, but it’d be a current available source.
The Captain tries his best to dissuade the Professor: "It's normal to approach from the Southeast. The southern winds upon the Shining Sea are deflected by the Skylizard mountains and help carry airships up north, to Port Nyanzaru. When we were attacked by pterafolk we tried to outrun them by heading further south, since they too glide on the air currents."

Faekin stumbles but is able to stand on his to feet as the wooden plank snaps under the force. Since he could have used his Mending cantrip multiple times now, he thinks to himself, as he already found one of them, and his room more or less intakt that it should actually be somewhere in his room. So he keeps looking specifically for the second lodestone. If not really necessary he does only move what he really needs to search for the stone, because on one hand he doesn't hurt his shoulder even more and on the other hand he does not really know how structurally stable this part of the ship is, even thou it is on solid ground now.
If he should find anything else of use as he searches for the lodestone he will probably take it too.
The one he already had he puts into his belt pouch. As he does not want to lose it again if somebody steals this backpack too.

The Professor has heard about pirate activity on Chult, but they seem to focus primarily on the Northwest, which would give a further reason to choose the southeastern route. Then again, the ship WAS transporting a lot of armour and weapons, which seems strange for what ostensibly was a passenger or merchant vessel. Similarly, the heavy armament on the ship and the fact that the crew seemed ready and capable to defend itself all only serves to increase his suspicions, but then again he doesn't have enough experience to tell whether the chosen route was really all that normal or not. Maybe he could ask some of the other passengers with more experience of such matters. But then again that could raise suspicions among everyone, and paranoia made for a bad companion in the midst of the jungle, hundreds of miles away from the nearest settlement...
