Shae would approach the others overhearing some of the conversation regarding the plants and vines. "During my excursions out and about for the Map House, I would study and catalogue the terrain with its indigenous plants and species while mapping it. I imagine between Zip's background, the professors studies, and my experience we may actually be well rounded for this sort of thing." For the first time since the ship crashed, she felt confident about some of the unknown. She did agree with the professor that it would be good to have some ink, quills and journals handy, she too would use them for cataloging. And she did still sympathize with Zip's desire to find his equipment. She believed it would obviously be beneficial for the whole party if everyone had their original equipment.
Seeing Zip sift through the wreckage, Shae would go to join him in the hunt. She'd assist him in searching the living quarters, primarily looking for items that she wouldn't recognize as her own first. She'd try her best to help Zip find his tools if there was anything left to find, then she'd hope to find some of the more delicate items such as journals, inks, and quills for documenting, she'd even settle for pieces of parchment for the professor. After turning over planks, crawling into crooks and crannies, looking in the most inconspicuous of places, she'd move to what may be more obvious and recognizable. Shae would navigate to some footlockers and a locked cabinet. She'd remember the key she was given on the ship and pull it from her pocket. She'd first try pulling or opening them in case the crash loosened things up, but eventually would try her key.
(If you need me to specify Shae's personal items she's hoping to find: her scholars pack > her weapons (boomerang > light crossbow and bolts > her second dagger) > leather armour)

Berrus will stay towards the middle in order to best react to danger from any direction
The Professor will definitely want one of the water barrels on the disk as well as some more of the bulk foodstuffs. More portable/ready to eat foods and water skins we can carry on our persons.
”I suppose it can’t be helped,” he says looking at the wreckage of his writing desk and most of the copied books. “At least I have the Gazetteer and a blank journal for writing new findings” (Assuming amongst the wreckage there is enough to salvage a blank journal).
Thinking aloud as they walk along once they are underway, the Professor can be heard to mutter off and on, “...supposed to get to the port, then get supplies, THEN go into this jungle...all backwards...making for the northern coast...expeditions are terribly uncomfortable things—why don’t they warn you in the source books...”

About the order we are moving: Maxine will be near the Captain (asking questions - like "what is that" about flora and fauna, trying very hard do it quietly and not to irritate Captain with them too much).
If Maxine's ankle still bothers her - she will use a medkit, to be able to keep up with the rest of the crowd).
As the disk will follow 20 feet behind him, the professor will need to be somewhat towards the front in the marching order.
Falling into their regular roles, Bertrand will likely be towards the outside (on a flank or at the rear) keeping watch for threats, and Cliff will walk alongside the disk making sure everything is good with the supplies.
And Alfred, poor Alfred, lies dead 70 feet in the air, in the wreckage of a sky ship (concerned with survival, nobody thought to bury him properly, so I expect eventually the wreckage will be haunted).

Faekin will keep close to Shae and the Professor as those two seem the most reasonable to him. Before they depart he reaches for his backpack on the floating disk and searches for the second loadstond inside. If he should find it, he will get on the disk, starting to repair anything that has a tear or anything with his Mending Cantrip.

"If you have any broken gear hand it to me so I will fix it for you."
Shae and Zip return with a handful of items. Shae had managed to relocate her possessions locked in the cabinets on the ship, and returns with a backpack, a lamp, enough nuts and dried berries to last a person for about five days, some more rope, a crowbar, a small hammer and a dozen pitons, a sling, 16 unbroken arrows, a boomerang, another set of cooking utensils, and a complete pouch of healing supplies.
Zip himself finds a small satchel containing his tools- a couple of springs and gears in different sizes, a small hammer, a set of tweezers, a small set of pliers, a scredwriver, about fifty small screws, about ten feet of thread, three needles of different thicknesses, several scraps of canvas, felt, and silk, as well as a small switch of leather and a pot of glue. Looking around the base of the trees, he also finds a dented shield, a scraped breast plate, and two broken warhammers and a broken light crossbow.
Please let me know which of these things you are planning to take with you.
As the party leaves the camp, Maxine and the Captain lead the way, followed by the Professor, who indeed has found three blank journals among the items. After the Professor, Berrus, and Cliff will walk close by the disc, with Shae and Zip walking just behind it, Shae making sure that Brax is doing okay and Faekin sitting on the disc, mending minor tears and breaks whilst sitting on the disc. The rear is made up of Flax, Bertrand, and Nhar.
Party Navigation check: 11
The forest is thick, and the going is slow, with the Captain and Maxine often having to make detours to avoid small streams and swampy areas, and although the Professor's disc helps, the fact that it only lasts for an hour meeans that every hour, about twenty minutes are lost, as the disc is summoned again and has to be loaded up once more with all the items. You're all approaching midday, when the Captain suddenly turns to you all and says: "I'm afraid that I'm not sure if we've been heading in the right direction. I was trying to head north as best we could, but with all the streams in the way and the thick forest blocking my view, navigation is proving exceptionally difficult. CDoes anyone else have a better idea of where we're headed?"

Arriving with her share of the haul, Shae would unload the items on the disc for some light sorting. "Alright, so first thing's first, I don't know why I've still been hanging on to this, but truthfully, someone else may be better off wielding it." She'd unload the spear she's had on her since the attack on the airship. "If someone needs this backpack a lot more than I, please take it. This lamp too." She'd put the backpack down with the lamp. "I'd like to divide these rations amongst those who may not have any or are running low." Shae would ask everyone to check their rations and she'd divi it up fairly. Since she already has a rope on her, she'd be happy to share what she found with the others, placing it beside the backpack. "If someone's been looking for these, please help yourself. Crowbar, small hammer and some pitons." She'd lay those out.
"If I may..." Shae would grab the sling. (I don't remember the status of all the injured, but I think there may be someone who could benefit from this right now? If so, Shae would take it to them to 'install' it immediately, otherwise she'd add it to the healers kit.) "I used up a full medical kit yesterday after the crash, if no one objects, may I hang on to this one?" She'd take the pouch of healing if no one objects, as well as her boomerang. Shae would help herself to a set of cartography equipment from the pile on the disc if no one objects
"I think Zip found a broken crossbow. If you are able to mend it Faekin, I have these for it too." Shae would place the unbroken arrows with the light crossbow. She'd also place the extra set of cooking utensils with the set that needs to be repaired on the disc. She'd pick up the dented pan, contemplating if it'd be a useful back up blunt weapon.
Within her personal supplies, Shae would be excited to find her scholars pack and her writing kit. Finally, she'd rush over to the Professor to hand him the scholar's pack, keeping her smaller writing kit with her. "I hope everything's still intact."
-------------------
When the captain stops and admits to being so unsure, Shae would furrow her brows.
Shae's writing utensils are fine, but the arrows are meant for a bow, and are too large for the crossbow, though could be used with a bow cut from green wood. The crossbow is too complex to be mended with a single cantrip, but maybe Zip could spend some time with it and his tools trying to fix it or salvage the mechanisms inside. Hefting the dented iron pot, Shae decides that it would definitely be heavy enough to do some serious damage, but the balance is all wrong and it would be more hassle than it was worth.
The captain seems honest enough, and at her wits' end about the route. She seems stressed and afraid, clearly showing signs that the pressure and the last days' events are getting to her.
