Ankor on the walk back to the inn with Tefkae and Victoria, answers Tefkae's questions, "You shouldn't question the capabilities of this small companion just yet, perhaps with the correct training, this little guy will prove very useful in our future together " he gives Victoria a little nudge and wink, as to say don't worry what Tefkae thinks.
Once inside the inn as Zack let's the old man know everyone's names. He sorta leans over to Zach and whispers "looks like we are his first guests he has ever had, doesn't that seem a little odd."

Zack whispers back, "Well, yeah, I do think it's a bit weird. Thought judging by the thing that came out of the mist, I'm not surprised. Plus our whole adventure has been weird so far. If you want, we can ask to rest in a single room and I can cast Alarm."
"...And Victoria..." The elderly man recites, putting the final name into the registry. He puts the quill down and shudders with delight. "Oh... patrons..." He says to himself warmly. "It is good to be of service after all this time." He coughs, seemingly clearing his throat, though his voice is still quite raspy. "Now, I have recorded your visit, and the rules say I should give you a key for a room..." The elderly man brings a very old and dusty looking box out. He blows the dust off before opening it, revealing six large iron keys, the heads of each engraved with a number. "Ah, here, here you are..." He holds up key #1 for Zack. "Here is your key."
"Dibs on the big bed," Ankor jokingly says to the group. "I am assuming we will each be getting a room? unless we all feel the pairing up would be better. Do the rooms have one bed or two?" Ankor asks the old man as he steps up to the counter. His stomach rumbling a little "Oh and where can we get some food for tonight before bedding down?"

"There are six rooms." The elderly man tells the group. "I have keys for the rest of you, too. Number two, now that goes to Ankor..." One-by-one he hands out the six keys. Whilst this is going on, Eight-Bit has been using its mop to clean up a little bit of a stain on the ground. "I can lead you to your rooms, they are up the stairs through here." He gestures to one of the doorways beyond the desk. "Each of the rooms has two beds, stories say that sometimes travellers go in groups of up to a dozen! Imagine that!" He chortles to himself, stopping for a wheezy cough.
Zack walks with the group quietly. Once the old man is out of earshot, he will say to the party quietly, "So... I think two of us should stay in each room. The town has been hospitable but we are still in a strange land of mist. We shouldn't let our guard down. At least not yet."
Caring not what the locals think, so long as none go out of their way to interrupt them, the warforged spends the next hour hovering over a smoking brazier, muttering the occasional exotic phrase and waving a hand over it. And while the proverbial stoop aside couldn't have been comfortable, they never seem to mind any odd angle of rest during the spell weaving. Eventually, a hacking and coughing Mr. Pepper would hopefully crawl his way out of the ashes of burnt herbs.
"Welcome Back. You understand what you must do now?"The ask, and to which Mr. Pepper salutes and tries to fly off to keep a passive watch from the roof top of the Inn. Satisfied, the warforged returns to their own watch and mental note taking; such as the visual changes to fire, and that of any passerbys that watched their work.
(Since Tefkae is staying outside, and eight-bit probably doesn't sleep, the real question is... whose sharing a room with Captain Oba, King of the Hippo-men?)

"Unnecessary. I am more useful out here, than inside. And I do not require as many 'creature comforts' as the rest of you."Tefkae states without looking up from their current work. "If it is a comfort, once Mr. Pepper has been summoned once more, I can have him stay in one of the lesser guarded rooms. Is this acceptable?"

Zack shrugs, "Nah, you do your thing. I was just wondering if you wanted to join the rest of us or not. I guess I'll see you in the morning... assuming this place even has morning."
Ankor looks to Captain Obaysch, then to Zach, then over to Victoria. "Don't think the Captain and I would too comfortable sharing a room. Zach you are more than welcome to room with me. I think 8-bit will be with the Captain, and I wouldn't feel comfortable sharing a room with Lady Victoria, besides she'll have Sailor" he leans down and gives Sailor a couple pats on the head, "you keep on guard now keep the lady safe tonight ya hear"

"Yes, I shall bunk with the First Mate." Captain Obaysch agrees, then nudging Eight-Bit. "Stop that, it is impolite to tell guests they have not tidied." Sailor gives Ankor's hand a lick as his hand pets his head.
"I you're ready to be shown to your rooms, let me know." The elderly man says.
Upon taking the elderly man's offer, the group is led up a creaky wooden staircase to a corridor with six dark wood doors, each with a metallic door number from 1 to 6. The doors each have a lock sized for the large iron keys given out by the elderly man, and upon unlocking the door each room appears to be well sized, perhaps twenty feet per wall length. There are two single beds within each, a vanity table with a mirror, a wardrobe, a lockbox at the foot of each bed, and a window that shows out into the misty village beyond. Upon the vanity table is a small bowl of potpourri, letting of a somewhat pleasant aroma into the room.
Zack upon entering the same room as Ankor decides to take some precautionary measures. He spends 10 minutes to Ritual Cast Alarm on the room. Anyone who isn't part of the party will trigger the Alarm if they enter the room. Once that's done, Zack goes over to the vanity table, gets one of his books out and begins writing on it.
(The spell said that the warded area can't be bigger than 20 cubic ft but does it have to be one continuous area? Like can I break the 20ft cube off to cover both the doors and the windows?)
Alarm has to be fit within a 20 ft. dimension, so it will be able to cover the entire of Zack's room. Effectively think of it drawling a line around areas in that 20 ft. environment. If you want to set separate Alarms, then you can always ritual cast it more than one.
