Rat attacks: Attack: 14 Damage: 4 Attack: 24 Damage: 9
Zack, your temporary distraction seems to have had more of an affect on you than you realize, as your attack lands quite off the mark. Your blade misses the rat and slams into the floor knocking out bits of stone in the process. The rats seem to have gotten a taste for you, as they pounce on you, foaming at the mouth to get more meat. Once again both rats manages to tear off fairly decent chunks of flesh from your body, greedily devouring them almost as quickly as they can tear it off. The corpse of the Villager lies near by, half eaten with large sections of missing flesh and exposed bone, a grim reminder of the fate that might just await you if something isnt done soon to either kill, incapacitate or otherwise get these rats away from you. Nadia is up.
(Two things. All day when I go to edit I've noticed things ive already typed being deleted. I think ive caught it everytime and fixed it, but if something seems cut off randomly it probably is so let me know. 2nd: have I ever mentioned my curse that as a DM I roll consistently High but as a PC I roll consistently low? Because...well...yeah I swear I'm not trying to kill Zack by rats....)

(You nailed where I wanted her to be :D And the DM curse tends to be a thing with other DM's I've been in games with :P)
Nadia promptly moves to the side to let Nadaar through to the side tunnel, blocking off the path from the other goblin who tries coming to his rescue only to fail at landing a blow on her. She frowns a bit. "Sorry, dama, no plus ones in this club. Plus it's getting a little cramped in here." She drops her bow to take out her spear and strike at the goblin in front of her.
Nadia, close combat is not your strong suit, however you aren't given much of a choice. You attempt to stick the Goblin with your spear but a lack of practice clearly shows. The attack is clumsy and awkward and ultimately bounces off the Goblins armor.

(It would be a most glorious death for Zack!)
(And, let's see if Nadaar can roll better)
Nadaar is more than easily able Hark far enough out not for any strike to land. His expression becomes only more pitying upon seeing one of Hark's own outright abandon the 'king'. Dropping his dagger so that he could pull out the longsword, Nadaar speaks in a frosty tone. "King? You still dare to think of yourself as such? After so brazenly attempting to flee even before one of your so called elite guards dropped? No... You are no king. And Snigbat not stupid for not following a fool like yourself to your God's embrace."He said in goblin, as he swung the blade from the side, hoping to bisect Hark, armor and all.
After which, he looks to Nadia and says in common, "Take my dagger. May it serve you better. And hold fast, Lady Nadia." He adds, layering his words subconsciously at least with a little healing magic.

Hark: 20 Vs Nadaar 9
G2: Attack: 23 Damage: 8
Nadaars long sword cuts a nasty gash into Harks belly. The Goblin "King" cries out in pain, but remains very much alive. Clearly he is more durable than most of his brethren, which may partially explain his position as leader. Hark, currently in a terrible position, struggles to slip out of Nadaars grasp. Hark squirms and struggles and for a very brief moment starts to slip loose before Nadaars grip tightens, locking the Goblin in place with a yelp. In response Hark yells out in Goblin"Wait! Hark let villagers go yes? Take tribe and leave, no bother anyone ever again! Just let Hark go yes? Please?"
As Hark begs for mercy is guard meanwhile presses the attack on Nadia. The Goblins sword is thrusted towards Nadias abdominal but is deflected with the spear just barely nicking the Elfs armor but luckily avoiding skin. The two new Goblin reinforcements rush up to the rapidly congested tunnel and take up position behind G2. They are out of reach of Nadia and cannot attack with their melee weapons.
Zack feeling his strength wane somehow... just before taking that second bite, feels that same surge of power emanate from his person, and suddenly a silver aura ignites around his body, engulfing him in magical force, The first rat manages to find purchase, however, the second rat's teeth are met with an immovable power as it's teeth attempt to clamp down, but are repelled. Zack, in a fury brings his sword to bear, still mindful enough despite his confusion as to what was going on swung the sword around as he gritted his teeth, attempting to slice atleast one of these bastard rats, the blade swinging in a shining arc in the dim light like a new moon.... (Attack: 23 Damage: 13)
But due to his leg injuries, he can't quite stop the momentum, and he unintentionally spins on his heel....the blade flying around again, towards the other rat... (Attack: 14 Damage: 11)
Regardless of whether or not the second attack hits, Zack stumbles his way over to the area where he had heard the voice, leaning on the rocks for support as he manages to say W-who are you? currently a little delerious from bloodloss, and oblivious to what was going on farther down the tunnel.
(Summary: Reaction: Shield, Attack, Action Surge Attack, move near the odd voice.)
You manage to successfully kill both rats in a single swing and give the cave wall a new coat of paint in the process. Once you head over to the rocks, you hear more muffled yelling in response to your question. You peer through the cracks in between the rocks and see a small small open area. Contained within appears to be a light haired, finely dressed human female, bound and gagged. The rocks blocking her in are poorly stacked, and can be easily removed in a few moments.
Even if she shouldn’t hit squat, she was glad that the other goblin couldn’t hit shit either, but it wouldn’t be long til one of the strikes land their mark. She was willing to keep trying with the spear, but once she is invigorated by Nadaar’s words and and was given permission to use his dagger, she did so. She dropped the spear and took the blade (with a thank you) and hopefully didn’t miss with it!

Nadaar is already readying for another cut across somewhere hopefully more vital when the pleas begin. "Hmm... That, my goblin friend, requires a show of good faith. Call off the guard, and I'll consider it." He replied in goblin coolly. In spite of the rebuttal however, and without taking his eyes off the Goblin "King", he directs his next words to Snigbat, "Then again, you've been treating Gum-Gum and Snigbat rather poorly.... What do /you/ think Snigbat? Should I trust Hark?"
Whether Snigbat agrees or disagrees, Nadaar stayed poised to strike the moment Hark either tries to break free or attack once more. Although in the case of Snigbat looking unfavorably to Hark's survival, he lofts a brow ridge, giving Hark a look as if to say 'Well then? Got anything to sweeten the deal?'
Nadia attempts to stick the Goblin with Nadaars dagger but unfortunately fails to pierce the creatures armor. In response, the Goblin goes for a slash at Nadia chest but stops midway as Hark yells out "Stop! No more fight!" Obeying the command the Goblins cease their attack, but their weapons remain up and ready in case things start up again. "See? No need to fight. We let people go you let Goblins go yes?" When Snigbat is questioned the Goblin thinks on the question and shrugs. "Hark coward, bully. No lie if life in danger. Would leave if given no choice. Snigbat say you kill him anyway. Hark no good for clan."
The Goblins remain ready to attack should fighting start again, but otherwise its Zacks go.
Zack feels the slight quiver of pain ebbing as the wounds finally began to coagulate and harden. He was lucky they hadn't gotten any farther or he may very well have been crippled. Still unable to hear what was going on farther down, so he shifted his weight into the rocks, intent on pushing them down as he hadn't heard the clamor of ogres or goblins, nor the retreat of the N's, so he assumed they had things wrapped up to some degree.
If the rocks move within this turn...
Zack pushes his way inside and makes his way to the woman bound up, taking his sword and saying If you can... Turn 'round.. Gonna .. cut your bindings....
(when applicable..)
He will cut her bindings (assuming they aren't chains) and allow her to un-gag herself before both saying and asking.. Who are you? We came from Nightstone, and I don't know if it's still dangerous or not out there.... And I need to get back to my friends.. just in case... he said, the mixture of his urgency yet willingness to wait long enough for a reply before trying to move back where his friends were, making sure the woman knew they did intend to save her, but that right now wasn't the best time.
The rocks give way to your strength easily enough and tumble to the ground allowing you access. The girl looks up at you with a look of pure relief on her face and when prompted turns to let you cut her bindings. As soon as her hands are free she removes the gag and burst into a torrent of questions and shouts of thanks. "Thank you thank you thank you! I'm Daphne Featherstone, Lady in waiting to Lady Nandaar of Nightstone. Did she send you? Are the others ok? Is it safe to leave? Hows my lady doing? What's your name? Oh gods let's just get out of here please forget the questions for now." Her words come out rapidly, its clear she is had been terrified of whatever was going to happen to her. Judging by the corpse just around the corner you can easily guess what fate had in store. Daphne tries to stand but struggles slightly, she is clear by the looks of her that it's unlikely she had much food or water and is likely malnourished and dehydrated causing her to be very weak at the moment. She will likely need assistance moving and won't be much use in her own.
Nadia/Nadaar are up. Gonna see how things go and if they stay calm I'll stop initiative by the end of this round.
Nadia pauses just as the goblin's do, but mimics them in keeping Nadaar's dagger at the ready in the case of them resuming an attack on her. She takes Snigbat's words into consideration, then looks to the goblin girl in front of her and the others who were practically lined up to attack her. "Hark's a coward and runs at any signs of combat, leaving you guys to do all the dirty work for him. Wouldn't you guys want a leader who is fearless and would fight along side you in battle? Why waste your time following this guy when there's other goblins more worthy of his position?"
The question itself was genuine, and she also hoped it would waiver loyalty within the group of goblins before her.
(I'm unsure what I would have to roll for this >n<)
The Goblin serving as Harks guard scoffs at the idea of Hark being a coward however the other Goblins in the tunnel look at each other and nod in agreement. "Hark weak! Get us killed by elves, driven from home" one shouts, followed up with a shout from the other "Hark keep food to himself. Feed rats before clan!" The body guard Goblin turns to them to shout at them for being traitors to Hark. For now the three of them argue with one another in the tunnel cancelling their readied actions.

Zack would momentarily hesitate, as he realized the situation he was in. Taking out one of his rations, and placing his waterskin on the floor to let the lady in waiting do with as she needed. For now, he needed to make his way back to his friends. It was good that they had found one of the nobles or otherwise important folk of the town, but he didn't know if it was safe to drag her out. If nothing else, she was free'd, and able to move about whether they fell or not. But before he left the 'room' he would say We're not quite done yet outside.. The rats are dead, but I don't know what the situation is beyond that. Try to stay hidden here. If we don't come back in a reasonable amount of time, I'd suggest trying to get out of here yourself before they all start filing back into this room. But don't pull the crossbow too quickly either...
With that, he made his way along the wall, getting as close as he could without being seen and attempting to not be heard as he came upon the scene unfolding, FInally able to hear goblins arguing amongst themselves.. Realizing the tunnel there would prevent the use of his massive weapon... he instead pulls out two of his Iron Spikes, intending to use them like daggers if need be. He wanted to reveal himself but if the situation went downhill he wanted even that momentary advantage...
(Stealth to roll up: 20), Action: Placing rations/water, BA Drawing atleast one of the spikes as he listens in not sure if i can get both out at once)
Edit: My bad.. i wasn't paying attention but my actions wont change. Just make this all take place after when it IS Zacks turn.

Nadaar is mute, but his expression read a resurgence of murderous intent as more goblins brought forth Hark's "Crimes". Although he would silently commend the guards for remaining true to their charge, few were the reasons to believe they hadn't been motivated by any real code of honor. "I will agree with you on one point, 'King Hark'. People will be let go. Goblins will be let go. Ogres.... Ogres maybe let go. But you, Hark?"He leans in closer, letting the acrid scent of burnt cinnamon wash over the goblin's face as he spoke. "You care for only self. You... no good for Clan."He said the last part coldly as he brought the blade in once more for the 'King's' side.

Hark hears the other Goblins shouting about all his failings and starts to sweat nervously as Nadaar stares him down. His nervousness is monetarily relieved when Nadaar says the Goblins will be let go, but quickly turns back to fear when he realizes he is not included. He struggles in Nadaars grip as the Nadaars sword goes for a potentially deadly blow, but luckily for the Goblin boss the sword catches on his armor and saves him from being harmed. Having already failed to free himself from Nadaars strong grasp, Hark tries to cut himself free, striking at Nadaars arm. The first strike draws blood but the second is clumsy and bounces off Nadaars scales with hardly a notice.
Meanwhile in the tunnel the Goblins are still arguing. However, upon hearing Nadaars threats the bodyguard turns and sees her king attacking and in need of help. Determined to cut through the elf, she strikes. The attack against Nadia is true, but the elf remains blocking the passage.
The Goblin directly behind the bodyguard seems to decide now is a good time to rid themselves of Hark and his allies, as he attempts to literally stab his fellow goblin in the back. The stab only catches in her armor, failing to do anything useful. Still, the last goblin in the line cheers on the attack and draws his short bow, taking a shot at the same goblin. Unfortunately, you're all getting to see first hand the prowess of an untrained Goblin tribe, better suited to accuracy through volume than anything else as the arrow breaks against the stone wall.
Meanwhile, back in the other chamber. Daphne looks at the food and water and quickly consumes both. As Zack gives her instructions she simply nods in agreement and waits for his return. Zack shifts up to the tunnel entrance, seeing the body guard Goblin strike Nadia and draw blood, followed up by the Goblin behind her trying to stab the guard in the back and finally an arrow that could have possibly been aimed at Nadia. None of the Goblins in the tunnel seem to have noticed Zack.

I can't believe that actually worked,Nadia comments mentally, proud of herself for actually getting the goblins to revolt against Hark, save for the one who hit her. Gotta try harder with this one, it seems. "I really don't want to hurt you! You're making a mistake in defending that coward, niña!Come on, you're smarter than this!"

#1 Conc. Save for Bane: 8.
Nadaar actually grinned down at Hark in spite of the obvious pain the first wound had inflicted. As he's bring his own blade in once more for a strike to the side, Nadia's attempts at diplomacy lured attention away. "Don't waste your breathe on that her, Lady Nadia." Nadaar states through gritted teeth. "Her fate was sealed the moment she joined Hark's side."He adds, taking his eyes off a struggling Hark only long enough to glare past all to the goblin elite guard. Then, it is back to trying drive blade again into Hark's side.
Only for the blade to catch on the armor. "Grr! Stand aside, Nadia! I need room to 'Breathe'!" He growls out, releasing the smell of burnt cinnamon in greater quantities.

Nadia is up
I can't believe that actually worked, Nadia comments mentally, proud of herself for actually getting the goblins to revolt against Hark, save for the one who hit her. Gotta try harder with this one, it seems. "I really don't want to hurt you! You're making a mistake in defending that coward, niña! Come on, you're smarter than this!"

"Her fate was sealed the moment she joined Hark's side." He adds, taking his eyes off a struggling Hark only long enough to glare past all to the goblin elite guard. Then, it is back to trying drive blade again into Hark's side.
Only for the blade to catch on the armor. "Grr! Stand aside, Nadia! I need room to 'Breathe'!" He growls out, releasing the smell of burnt cinnamon in greater quantities.
