Try to open door of toilet with left hand.

Guilliame opens the door of the toilet with his left hand, his right hand ready to strike.

In the light from the fire burning behind him, he see a young girl dressed in ragged clothes.

The girl turns towards him and brings her hands up as if to ward off his attack.

"Don't kill me!" she screams in Stemian.

[OOC: Opening the door is Guilliame's one free action for this turn. He still has an Action, Movement and any applicable Bonus Action available.]

"I won't hurt you. But we must get away from the fire. Come out quickly."

Run to door and call for Naomi to open the door.

[OOC: Before we continue, I should tell you that the fire is not close to the toilet. It is close to the house, and the girl would not be in danger where she is. Do you wish to change your move?]

"I won't hurt you. Wait there."

Look back at fire. If it looks like damaging the house then concentrate on putting it out. Otherwise run to service laneway and look for movement.

After warning the girl to stay where she is, Guilliame turns back to the fire.

He is relieved to see that, while the jartinal weed on the drying rack is probably going to be lost, it looks like the house is not in any danger of catching alight.

Guilliame then rushes to the back gate, opens it and looks out into the darkened service laneway.

[OOC: There is little light along the laneway, make a Perception check; less than 6 will be considered a failure.]

Guilliame can't see who is making the sound of running feet coming from further up the service lane, but a sudden sound from behind causes him to swing around.

In the dim light, he sees the young girl he left in the toilet crawl out through the small access hatch in the fence that the city's collectors use to access his household's toilet so they can remove the nightsoil.

He sees her pale face momentarily in the dim light before she is up and running, away from him and down the service lane in the direction opposite where the other sounds of footsteps was coming from.

[OOC: It is Guilliame's turn, the girl is currently about 20' from him and running hard.]

Go back to the fire and try to put it out.

Leaving the girl to run away, Guilliame turns back to the burning drying racks. As he begins to fight the fire, Granny Naomi comes out to join him in his efforts.

[OOC: We are now out of combat, to put out the fire will require an Athletics check at Advantage versus a DC of 5. Guilliame has a +3 bonus with Athletics.]

Between the two of them, Guilliame and Granny Naomi put the fire out successfully, but there is now a pall of smoke in the yard: smoke mainly from the burnt jartinal weed.

[OOC: Please roll a Constitution check against a DC of 8 to see Guilliame is affected by the smoke.]

Love the stuff.

Guilliame and Naomi retreat into the kitchen to wait until the smoke clears.

"Who was it?" asks Naomi. "Did you get a look at the villain?"

"There was a man I didn't see and a girl I got a look at."
