"How much will we need?"

"Wasn't it three Engles last time?" Granny Naomi says. "But they might charge us more now that we are offering new services and products... I really don't know how they calculate it."

"We can cover that at the moment but you are right to be careful. Maybe I should take the sign down advertising pour new identification service down and just rely on word of mouth to spread now."

"Maybe," says Granny Naomi with a shrug, "but it's sort of nice to let people know we have a wizard in the family." 

She then gets to her feet and, after stifling a yawn, says, "I'm off to bed now, dear. You should try to get an early night too, but you might try to sleep sitting up so you don't aggravate your wound."

Then she gives Guilliame a quick pat on the arm and heads off to her bedroom. "Night, Guilliame."

[OOC: Despite the short conversation, I am going to assume Guilliame got his short rest. However, if you want him to say anything else to Granny Naomi, please feel free to keep talking. If not, then is Guilliame going to set his alarms tonight?]

Set alarm excluding creatures up to big dog size across the back of the house. Do what is necessary to put expeditious retreat in as cast spell and remove Protection from good and evil provided that doesn't involve not having proper long rest.

[OOC: The spells need to be changed after the long rest, which I have now done on Guilliame's character sheet.

Basically, each morning Guilliame quickly Prepares the spells he wants in his mind for that day. If this doesn't happen for whatever reason it is presumed the spell Prepared the last time he did this are still in effect.

Ritual spells can be prepared, but don't have to be as long as the caster takes the extra ten minutes and has their spell book to refer to. Prepared spells cast fast and don't require the presence of the spell book to cast, but both types of casting require the necessary spell components.]

Guilliame sets his Alarm spells for the night and then heads off to bed...

His night is interruption free and he wakes next morning, still feeling a little sore from his stirge injury, and changes his Prepared spells so that he now has Expeditious Retreat in his mind instead of his protection spell.

[OOC: It is now Earthsday, the 22nd day of the month of Khorhalas and it is still raining. What do you want Guilliame to do?]

After breakfast pull out the torch from adventuring equipment. Practice lighting it and snuffing it out with a Prestidigitation. 

Top up purse with 3 cons and 5 cubs extra.

Ask Naomi whether there is anything that needs doing around the shop.

After breakfast, Guilliame spend some time successfully practicing lighting and snuffing out a torch using his Prestidigitation cantrip. 

Then, after topping up his coin pouch from the shop funds, he is told by Granny Naomi that the weather will keep most people inside and so it will likely be a quiet morning in the shop. She is quite happy to potter and do the things that need doing, and is happy if he wants to go off to the School to study.

Head down to the school with torch.

[OOC: I will presume Guilliame is putting on his oilskin again because of the rain.]

As Guilliame heads out in the rain heading towards the School, he hears a candle caller calling the fourth candle of the morning.

As is their practice, the caller also shouts out a public service announcement: "Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Ruben Rawl, handleader of the Temple of Donai, please contact your local City Guard."

Guilliame continues on to the School and, after knocking, is allowed in by Master Minton.

Bruxa is eager to see Guilliame and is demanded to be patted. 

Give Braxa a big pat. 

"Master Minton, I am interested in specialising in enchantment magick and I believe that Master Cyrus Black is the expert. What is the best way to see him?"

"Hello, Guilliame," says Minton, smiling at the antics of the dog. "The archmagus doesn't take many students these days, he's generally too involved with the administration of the School and advising the king."

He thinks for a moment before saying, "There is a new master at the School, just arrived from New Nineveh. His name is Wallash. I believe he has some experience in that area, perhaps you should talk with him instead."

"That sounds good to me. Bothering the head of the school for lessons sounded a bit intimidating. Where can I find Master Wallash?"

"In this weather," says Master Minton. "In his room in the Master's quarters or perhaps the Administration building. I would try Administration first."

"Thank you Master Minton. Hopefully things have quietened down a bit. Is everything going well?"

"Well enough, thank you, Guilliame," says Minton. "I'm actually thinking of taking a little bit of a holiday, now that I have someone who can take over for me."
