[OOC: Guilliame suspects that the attunement process has to be completed with the stone in his hand as that would seem to be how this magical item is used.]

OOC based on knowledge of the Identify spell would it be more likely to work if attuned? Could it be tried pre and post attunement?
[OOC: Taking into account both recent Arcana checks, Guilliame believes that attunement could only help with his casting of the Identify spell. Also, the Identify spell could certainly be tried pre- and post-attunement, but he doesn't know if any more information would necessarily be forthcoming. What he does know is that a long rest (i.e., 8 hours) is needed between castings of the spell for the second to reveal any different information from the first attempt.]

Guilliame settles back on his bed and concentrates on the stone while holding it in his hand.
After a few moments, the fluttering feeling returns, and it is definitely emanating from the stone.
After a few minutes, the fluttering feeling has become a little stronger—or perhaps Guilliame has become more aware of it. He casts the See the Arcane cantrip and opens his hand.
The stone still shows no sign of magical activity and the fluttering feeling has diminished somewhat, but it is still there.

Meditating on the stone, the fluttering becomes stronger and stronger and after a while Guilliame also starts to see small flashes of light against the black backdrop of his mind's eye.
He feels no discomfort at their appearance so he continues to meditate on the stone and is soon surrounded by a swarm of these tiny flashing lights. Opening his eyes, he is not too surprised to see that the lights exist in reality as well as behind his eyelids, though they disappear quickly as he watches them, swarming back into the stone in his hand leaving it tingling slightly.
Whatever the visual manifestation was, the fluttering, which he can still feel, is now accompanied by a faint murmuring, as if he were hearing the calls of many different types of animals from a great distance. He cannot make out the individual animals at the moment, but is convinced he could if he were to just meditate a little bit longer.
[OOC: Does Guilliame continue with the stone?]

[OOC: A magical item that requires attunement can only be used by the person who is attuned to it. However, the attunement process can be done by anyone who possesses the item, which supersedes the previous attunment. This means Guilliame can attune himself to the item and then give it back to Natalia for her to attune with it. Therefore, there shouldn't be a problem with Guilliame attuning the item, but it will be Guilliame attuned to the item until someone else goes through the attunement process.]
With the sparks still in evidence when he closes his eyes, Guilliame continues to meditate on the stone. As he does so, the murmuring gets stronger and as well as the sounds of animals he begins to occasionally hear what he believes are words in a language he can't understand.
As the murmuring gets louder, Guilliame begins to understand that it and the sparks of fire are different things, different aspects of the magic of the stone. The sparks, and there are lots of them, he now realises are individual non-intelligent life forms. He also comes to the understanding that he can summon them and control them for brief periods of time and use them to attack living things because they are hungry and want to feed.
As the realisation that this stone can be used as a weapon starts to sink in, Guilliame becomes aware that one of the voices he can hear is speaking to him in a language he can understand.
"Master? Will you be my master?" says the faint voice. "Choose my form, Master. I want to come out and serve you."

[OCC: Despite the fact it is blue, I totally missed the roll embedded in your last post. I will presume this was the roll for your casting of the Identify spell.
This is a failure, which means that Guilliame can roll again for experience.]
Shaking a little from his experience in trying to attune with the item, Guilliame attempts to cast the Identify spell as a ritual. Unfortunately, the fluttering he experiences when he once more picks up the stone interferes with his concentration and he gets no readings from it.

At least there is plenty to report. If it is around late-morning then see if there are more chores that need doing around the shop. At some stage pop out to an appropriate market and buy a new money pouch with 7 lions and 2 cons in a pocket to purchase a new money pouch. Check with Naomi before going whether another purchases else is required.
Granny Naomi tells Guilliame that there is nothing that is urgent and that he should go and learn that new spell that will help protect him. When he tells her he has to buy a new purse, she asks him to look out for a new pot for the kitchen, but he is only to buy it if he can get one for less than 2 Constantines.
Guilliame therefore heads out to the closest suitable markets, which is across the bridge in the Mercantile District on the main island of the city; the Scholar's Ward has its own fair share of merchants, but not of this type.
He reaches the central marketplace without incident and begins to search it for a replacement purse.
[OOC: You can either pay the standard price for a purse—5 lions—or you can attempt to bargain the price down by making a Persuasion check versus a DC of 12.]

Stick with the 5 lions for a quality money pouch (walk away if it's more than that from the first seller). Have a look for a pot from a mid-range shop (not hot lion).
Guilliame finds a new money purse of suitable quality at the price he wants and then goes looking for a new pot for Granny Naomi under the 2 Constantine price she specified.
[I have deducted the 5 lions from his on-person funds (see the Other Possessions tab on his D&D Beyond character sheet). Now please make an Investigation check versus a DC of 8 to see if he is successful in finding a pot at the right price.]
