Kaylyn looks over to Pax. "The angel, the last one, its name was Nemevon and it kept saying kill me, kill me. I can't seem to get the voice out of my head. The first was Lorabelios and it seemed to have accepted its fate. The second I touched, something I do not know happened, but I resisted its will and was left unscathed by it. But we cannot help them. How do you kill one who is petrified?" She shakes her head. "I just don't know...." She trails off and then speaks again. "We must finish the work." she says firmly but the look in her eye says she is still haunted by the words.
"Modrons. Their name is modrons."Sekkar was happy to use the new word. "They asked us not to interfere with their ... whatever they are doing." Mechanical creatures were new, sure, but Kaylyn presented a more curious puzzle - how to kill something that is supposed to be already dead? "Are you talking about those angels? Tough question. If petrification did not kill them... Do you think smashing to pieces will?"Actually, it was so interesting, Sekkar would not mind walking back to try.
Pax looks to Kaylyn, then back over to Rhayna, "Oh, well....if...touching an angel made you run away then....sorry for getting snappy, but...is that what happened? I'd expect the first words to be something of an explanation though. We really must try to stay together in this maze." She considers Kaylyn's words, and thinks about Sekkar's response. "I mean, if they can speak and have some semblance of who they are while turned to stone, it may be part of some curse. I'd expect that smashing them, or....well, I'm tempted to go back and try." She glances sidelong at Vizeran. "Of course, we are on a mission, but....maybe one of them may be able to help us find the things we seek. Though if they mess with our heads and make us flee....then perhaps we should not. Sorry...I was considering out loud. I think we should not. When Pax asks Rhayna why did she run, she ponders for a moment. "Did I run from you guys? Ohh I guess I must have..." She is still looking at Pax, but her eyes look distant now. While Pax continues speaking (second post), she goes back in her memory to find out what happened. (Imagine hitting the rewind button on a VHS unit) However, the images that playing in her memory are not hers, they are from the Angel Tamiel, and they are playing very fast. Some non-verbal communication apparently passes between them, because the slaad promptly vanishes. However it is clear the creature is still nearby but simply invisible, and the others can sense it passing along the tunnel. Fear not, says Vizeran, trying to assuage the group's trepidation, I am merely sending Kleve to scout the area. If thou wishes to tarry here then it is best that we are not accosted unawares.
The drow mage then turns to the elf mage and answers his query, although the information isn't anything that Sekkar doesn't already know: Timmask, also knows as “the devil’s mushroom”, although it is actually a toadstool. As Rhayna voices her prayer she feels Selune's light flow into her mind, granting her knowledge that few mortals have ever known. None but a god or goddess could fathom the mind of Primus, but with the Moonmaiden's aid, Rhayna catches a glimpse of how these monodrones work and which mechanisms inside have failed. It takes some time for Rhayna to absorb the information as the others wait patiently, but finally she opens her eyes, looks at the tridone and speaks in its language of clicks and whirrs:
Prolonged exposure to faerzress has corrupted the motivator chip. It cannot be repaired/replaced/overridden, however it can be bypassed by connecting the primary actuator array directly into the main bus in the place of the communicator module. The tridrone stares at Rhayna for a few moments, then turns and picks up one of the monodrones with two of its arms. The monodrones legs continue to pump the air in futility as the tridrone uses its spare arm to open a panel in the monodrone's spherical body and fiddle with a few glowing wires. The legs stop moving and the repetitive whirring stops as the monodrone goes limp. A little more tinkering and the monodrone wakes up again, but this time as the panel closes and the creature is returned to the ground, it simply stands steady. The tridrone moves on to the next monodrone as the first simply follows after it like an obedient but silent puppy. The whole process takes several minutes, but by the end the tridrone has applied Rhayna's solution to both the monodrones, which have ceased their mindless pacing and now follow silently. The tridrone then walks back to Rhayna, as whirrs and clicks issue from one of its mouths:

"Well met Cosine-5978-Beta-12. Please allow me to confer with my colleagues, and hopefully we can come to a mutually agreeable solution." Rhayna replies to the tridone. She then turns around to her companions. "OK folks. Good new and bad news. The bad news is that the tridone unit, the pyramid shaped one, does seem to have an extensive knowledge of the Labyrinth, but it would take forever for it to transfer the knowledge to us. Time that we do not have. The good news is that he knows where we can find a goristro, and there are timmasks near the fiend. Ohh. Another bad news... It said that there is a 'high concentration of fiends' at the location, and it doesn't advise us to go there. Totally understandable. However, he has offered their help in going there, if we agree to get them out of this place once we do that. What do you all think?"

"Accepted?" Sekkar tried to ignore all the clicking and clucking and listen to the other ambient sounds. He did not need these mechanical creatures to know about hoards of demons, aberrations and whatnot around them. Did not want any of them to sneak up on the group either. "We are not staying here, can as well take them with us. They seem to know how to defend themselves, not friends of the creaturs here and more blades between us and demons is a good thing too. Let's take them and move on - the faster we get the mushrooms and the heart, the faster we return."
"Mushrooms and the heart" summoned the untimely image of a good lunch into his mind. Sekkar swallowed and asked, "So, which way is the shrooms?"
"Works for me also." Kaylyn says. "If they have that much knowledge of the labyrinth then they know how to go where we need to go with minimal side trips. We don't need to know about the whole maze, just how to get from point A to point B by the best path of least resistance."
(Assuming we are heading off to search for these demons and mushrooms, I'll ask what everyone is doing, and to make an appropriate ability check. Survival check for searching for tracks or other signs, Nature for finding mushrooms perhaps, Perception if you're looking or listening for danger or something else, or Stealth, any other skill you would like to use. You can roll for multiple skills if you like, but if you decide to focus on just one skill then I'll allow you to roll with advantage. These rolls will apply for the next 'segment' of the journey, and although I may include some other encounters along the way, I'll keep using the skill checks you make now until I decide they are no longer applicable.)

"Science is organized knowledge. Wisdom is organized life."

Pax looks to Vizeran momentarily, a small smile on her lips, but she says nothing. To everyone out loud she says, "Excellent, let us away."
