Kastix will slowly move his way to the throne to take the key and retreat back to the group, "I need some sleep after all that but I think the dragon will not be kind when it wakes up," Kastix whispered, "I'm not sure to do here but maybe we can find somewhere safe where this key opens up," Kastix holds up the key to the group.  

@Rhayna: The other items on the altar include: A feather, a small pouch, a scroll case, and a small flask

Rhayna bows slightly. “It is your to keep Madam. It is a token of gratitude for your hospitality.” She respectfully goes to the altar and points at the small pouch. “May I choose that relic?”

((I couldn't tell if this was one item each, or one item total. If it is one item total than I agree with taking the key if it is one item each then I might need to amend my post))

"I am glad we agree. Calcryx could be a great asset for you if you treat him right." Royan steps back and allows Rhayna to take her praise. "You're right. I think we should be far from here when he wakes. Royan returns Kastix whisper. "I propose we return to the room with the dragon door and we set up camp there. That will give us some distance should Calcryx be less than forgiving. But first I need some information." 

Royan turns back to Yusdrayl and speaks in a much move even and open tone. "Your Grace. I am sorry, I am not sure how I should address you correctly. My purpose for coming to your home was actually to try and find some people. You mentioned that four people had passed through here in the past month. Could you describe them in any detail? I am looking for two youths from a local village. A brother and sister. Also, a warrior who would have been bearing this symbol." Royan taps the flaming fist on his shield.

Erky, who followed the party all the way to the kobolts, suddenly intercepted at a chance of being more useful: "Er-excuse me! I might have seen that warrior you mention. And the other two were definitely siblings, yes. The goblins caught three people over a month ago and they were captives with me in that dreadful place for a while. They said their names were Talgen, Sharwyn, and Sir Braford. The goblins kept them in there only about a week before they removed them. Belak wanted them, and that's the last I've heard about them."

Erky realized that he probably interrupted the leader of all those kobolds and apologized: "I am deeply sorry for interruption, your Majesty," Erky was not sure how to address grand-kobolt but decider it's better to over-do it, "but if those fine people are missing their friends and I saw them - I felt like it was my duty to speak up."  

(Yes, it was one item for the whole party, and the key has been claimed.)

(Rhayna, the pouch appears to be empty, but when you reach inside you can feel a small fuzzy object.)

Rhayna is not afraid, takes the small fuzzy object and inspect it.

The object is small, round and fuzzy. About the size of a sling bullet. 

Kaylyn walks over and looks at the object that Rhayna is inspecting.  She then casts Detect Magic to see if it has magical properties.  As the spell lasts 10 minutes she checks around the area to see if anything else is detected, including checking the items found in the room where they found the dragon. The small dragon figurine is of special interest to her.

@Kaylyn: None of the items from the dragon's lair reveal any magic aura. However, all the items from the altar, (the key, the feather, Rhayna's pouch, the scroll case, and the flask) glow with a faint aura. Also the three arrows taken from the skeleton's (ancient history) and the potion from the ranger's corpse.

Can it be just tossed? She doesn’t have a sling. 

Rhayna observes how the small fuzzy ball resembles a projectile, although without the weight. Lacking a sling she wonders nonetheless if it is meant to be thrown or cast. Kaylyn's spell causes the small ball unexpectedly to glow, and in surprise Rhayna half-drops-half-throws the small ball, which lands on the floor ... and in a poof of smoke, is replaced by a black bear! The kobolds scatter in alarm, but the bear makes no aggressive moves, only sits on its haunches and looks at Rhayna expectedly...

"Maybe you should't pull any more out right now," kastix whispers to Rhayna then looks at the bear, "Give an order maybe?" 

Rhayna crouches and tries to pet the bear.

The bear allows Rhayna to scratch its ears. It briefly muzzles her hand, then wanders over to the wall and sniffs around, scratching on the floor at bugs.

"Well, that certainly is surprising. A pet bear maybe?  How wonderful!"  Kaylyn exclaims as the bear appears friendly.

"Don't worry Yusdrayl, we won't let it harm you."  She says reassuringly to the kobolds

"If you let us, we will take our leave to use the key. We will pass through your domain as soon as we have see what is to be seen and I hope we will be given safe passage," Kastix bowed to the Yusdrayl before lightly pushing nearest door that leads back to the dragon door before whispering to the group, "I think we should follow Royan's idea, set up camp near the door before venturing in but as far as we can get from the dragon," 

With her hands together, Rhayna bows slightly to Yusdrayl. “I thank you for this gift madam. I promise you that this relic will be in good hands.” She stores the pouch in her backpack and goes to the bear.

A little surprised by the bear which suddenly appears in the room, Royan tries to stay focused on his task at hand. "Belak wanted them?  Where do we find Belak?” 

Ireniana smiles at the bear as well. "This is probably one of the best gifts we could receive, a new friend."
