@Kastix (OOC: Nice roll! You learn the goblin's names and their geneology to the fourth generation!) Your investigation of the corpses reveals that the four goblins have been dead for quite a while, and rats have gnawed at them. The bodies have been looted. The wall behind where the goblin is pinned with the spear has Draconic runes etched on it.

(OCC: Does Rhayna sees the Draconic runes?)

Kastix turns to Rhayna, "You're a bookworm. Ever heard of . . . .my draconic is a bit risty Ash-ard-alon?" Kastix points out the draconic runes while slowly reading them out. 

Add ON: Kastix takes a few deep breath in response to this scattered mined individual, trying to read the runes that Kastix just translated.

OOC: "Also I can make some fake goblins IDs if you're interested". I need the gold.

"Do you mean Ashardalon?" Rhayna looks at Kastix, surprised that her research bore some fruits, and gives a slight smirk. "Yes, I have seen that name during my research into this Citadel. The desolation around this area, was cause by this Dragon long ago. The runes makes sense, this Citadel originally was a stronghold of an ancient dragon cult. The study of which let me here. Unfortunately I do not speak Draconic." Rhayna sadly sighs and shines the runes with her lighted pendant for a closer look. (History: 14)

While studying the Draconic runes, Rhayna senses a slight draft from somewhere southeast, and she goes to the general area to investigate. (Investigation: 18)

Kaylyn moves forward and inspects the runes as she also speaks Draconic and tries to recall what she may know about what it says.

History 9 

Kastix points out to Rhayna that the runes were simply one word - Ashardalon. Rhayna deduces from this that the runes were placed there as a dedication to the dragon worshiped by the cult. 

Rhayna also inspects the southern wall, and locates the presence of a well-hidden door, beside which is a loose masonry block.

Ireniana walks over and examines the runes before keeping an eye on Rhayna. She walks over and is eager to assist her.

OOC: sorry can’t see the map on my phone will check it out when I get home tonight. 

Royan looks at the runes but has no chance o fm deciphering what they meant he had struggled to even learn enough for the accounts at the inn where he grew up.  

As the others inspect the room and the writing Royan stays wary for any unusual noises or interruptions. 

While going to the southern wall, Rhayna hears Kastix mention of the name Ashardalon. In the back of her mind, she tries to remember if she has stumbled upon this name in her previous research. Why is this Dragon so important?. (History: 10). Once reaching the wall, she discovers of a hidden door upon close examination. "Now, this is interesting..." She notices the loose masonry block. She puts her Journal between her legs, holds her pendant with her left hand, and with her right hand, she reaches for the block and tries to remove it.

(OCC: I am not able to see Map1 either)

Kastix moves to other side of room as Rayana starts removing the stone just in case. He points his wand at the area just in case. 

Study of the runes by Rhayna and Kaylyn jog no further memories – only this is clear, that anciently the citadel was the home of a cult worshipping the dragon Ashardalon. While Royan patrols the room, and with Kaylyn studying the runes and Kastix vigilant from afar, Rhayna examines the loose brick, with Ireniana standing guard nearby. As Rhayna attempts to remove the loose brick, she discovers that the brick is actually a lever built in to the wall, and it swivels under her hand. As it does so, a small needle pierces her hand, causing her to recoil in pain. The movement of the lever releases the catch on the stone door, and it swings ajar about 6 inches. Through the narrow gap, a small room is illuminated by the light from Rhayna’s pendant.

“Here, let me.” Royan steps up beside Rhyana with sword drawn and opens the door as quietly as he can. He steps into the room and checks for any obvious threats. 
Stealth: 19

Perception: 10

Royan silently steps into the room. The small chamber is damp and cold, and apparently empty. He turns to the left to commence his search of the room, carefully inspecting the floor, walls and roof. As he does so, he is unaware of three skeletons slumped against the far wall, which slowly rise, pinpoints of red fire sparkling in their eye sockets. They each raise an ancient bow, fit an arrow to the string, and fire ... at the figures standing in the doorway.

COMBAT! Please roll initiative, declare your actions, and make any attack/damage rolls. I'm placing Rhayna in the doorway, with Ireniana immediately behind her and Kaylyn ad Kastix further away. Royan is still in the small room, unseen by the skeletons.

Royan hears the sound of bows and turns quickly to face the threat. In front of him stand 3 skelletonshe had glanced over when surverying the room. He thoughtthey had been the victim of some earlier battle that had not been removed. As the other smove in to the room to assist, Royan steps forward to attack Skeleton #2 (the middle of the 2 skeletons) with his longsword.

Kastix upon hearing sounds of battle will make his way to the doorway and hiding behind the doorway and casting Fire Bolt on the middle skeleton. (Left one if everyone takes care of it first)

Initiative - 17

Ireniana is going to draw her swords to step around Rhayna and attack the Skeleton 1 - or the one on the left.

Staying back where she is Kaylyn points to the middle skeleton and sends a  bolt of energy at it.

"Ouch! My hand!! Ugh, I hope it's not poisoned or infectious..." A bolt of energy passes by Rhayna from behind her. "What? Ohh…." She grabs her journal, steps behind Ireniana, holds up her pendant, and sends flame down the middle skeleton. (DMG: 2)

Rhayna see that Ireniana is injured by the middle skeleton. She curses herself for her poor aim, and missing the target. She prays to the Goddess and heals Ireniana with Healing Word. (Heal: 8)

ROUND 1

Initiative: Kaylyn 21, Rhayna 15, Ireniana 9, Royan 8, Skeletons 7, Kastix 6

As Royan enters the secret chamber, Kaylyn, who has been studying the runes, turns to ask Rhayna how she knew about Ashardalon. Through the open doorway she sees 3 pairs of red eyes, and makes out the skeletal figures drawing their bows. With a cry of alarm, she sends a bolt of arcan energy through the doorway, which slams into the central and largest skeleton. Alerted by both the cry and the sizzling crackle of energy crossing the room, the others bring their powers and weapons to bear. Rhayna instinctively fires off her Flame spell at the injured skeleton, but it bends backward in an anatomically horrifying way, then snaps back upright with it's skeletal grin unchanged.

Ireniana charges into the room, swinging her twin shortswords at the skeleton on the left, while Royan coordinates his attack on the central skeleton. The left skeleton parries her blows with his ancient dusty bow, while the central one has its shoulder blade and several of its rear ribs sheared off by the mighty longsword.

Unable to bring its bow to bear once more, the left skeleton fails to fire an arrow, and the right-side creature's shot also goes wide as Ireniana ducks out of the way. But the large central skeleton, which seems to bear the remnants of a leader's insignia on its tattered scraps of clothing, fires a point-blank arrow at Ireniana, piercing her armor and sending a shooting bolt of agony through her torso.

Taking the time to line up the angles just right, Kastix lets fly his own spell, and a seating bolt of flame shoots through the doorway, slamming once again into the large central skeleton. It staggers under the onslaught, but with a renewed flare in its gleaming eye sockets, it prepares to fire another arrow...

Ireniana and Royan in melee with the skeletons inside the chamber. Rhayna, Kaylyn and Kastix still in the main room. Skeleton #2 is pretty hammered. The other 2 are untouched.

If you want to take any bonus actions, responding to anything that happened before your turn, go ahead and post that with your actions for Round 2. Otherwise, just post your actions for Round 2. Include your damage rolls.
