Since Kasaaptu is having zero luck with her attacks against this guy, she is going to rummage through his stuff and see if she can find something important enough to him that she can get him to stop and talk. He cant possibly last much longer, if he dies then we will still need to collect the debt in some fashion, if Tairo doesnt die as well...then we may inherit a flourishing Animal business...

She will search under the bed, in the mattress, in cupboards, the walls. The floors etc, looking for hidden doors, traps, cubby holes and of course loot
The throbbing pain in her head makes searching difficult. So she will head back to the window, drop her weapons and draw her crossbow
( what is up with this dice roller? I guarantee I would get better results on real dice..sheesh)
Sir Darak Darkhall: Amazed by the sheer amount of brutal abuse this man has withstood, Darak can't help but be impressed. He swings his blade again, determined to bring his rampage to an end.
OOC: Sir Darak is right there with Kasaaptu. I can't get a good roll to hit this guy. At least that Athletics Check is good. It should be contested by his Athletics or Acrobatics check, or are you rolling enemy rolls elsewhere, Nathan?
This alleyway is cursed...maybe someone should mention to this guy his soul will be trapped by the Soul monger if he dies and he wont be able to move on in the afterlife nor be able to be resurrected

(OOC: Well, this guy isn't rolling that great either to be honest. I think is average attack roll has been a 6. Also, I make many rolls outside of the chat, simply because you don't always know, in game, when a roll is occurring. As well, sometimes it gives too much away, and alters how you react.)
An arrow from Barty cuts deeply into the guys other thigh, the flesh tearing and blood seeping down his leg. He grimaces, clutching at the spot instinctively.
Sir Darak takes a swipe with his blade, the guy again dodging out of the way of the lethal sharp edge. But Sir Darak's following shield bash it straight at him. He bends to try and avoid it, his body surprisingly lithe mobile despite all the punishment he's taken.
Athletics : 20 (OOC: as you can see, his last check he didn't need to roll because he couldn't fail)

He somehow manage to stay on his feet despite the skillful shield bash.
Kasaaptu, you begin rifling through the guys stuff as quickly as you can. You throw open a drawer and see a few dishes, a bit of cutlery, and a few dry goods. You throw open a drawer and see a pot, a bucket, some rags, and some home goods.
Sickle watches as Sir Darak slams into h8m with his shield, think8ng there is no way he can stay on his feet, but somehow Taban manages to grab the shield and stay upright. Sickle tried to use the distraction to jump in with a low sweep, aiming for the injury Barry just gave him.
A part of each of your brains has to respect this warrior. He moves with the grace of a cat, is as tough as nails, and packs a punch. And more importantly, not at one point in this battle has this fierce warrior sworn, yelled or screamed in rage. He seems to actually be enjoying this contest of skills, a thin smile on his bloodied lips, as he steps over sweeps, dodges blades, and magic blasts into him.
He seems to almost grin with enjoyment as he continues to try and pummel his armored foe into submission.
He steps into a knee kick, trying to take Sir Darak out in a weaker spot. Attack: 16 Damage: 9
Following up with a knee to his mid section. Attack: 26 Damage: 11

The knee kick fails as Sir Darak's steel boot is lifted enough to take the kick. But Sir Darak is suddenly off balance from the kick attempt and the knee slams into him with extreme force, sending him flying backwards into the wall. He collapses with a thud.
Seeing a chance, he alters his elbow to a pointed elbow backwards at Sickle, but it slams into Sickles shield with a hollow and painful thud.
At this point, Sir Darak is collapsed, but Sickle seems largely unharmed, and Barty and Badger continue to harass with spells and arrows. The warrior is bleeding from both legs, may have a cracked collar bone, his mid section is all red, his fists are bloodied and he's coughing blood. His eyes are glazed over and there's a definite wobble to his steps.
Kasaaptu, you hear the very heavy thud of the steel clad Sir Darak collapsing with a crash, in the alley outside as you open another cupboard, spotting a poorly folded, and well worn suit of leather armor, patched in numerous places. They're very 'styled' leathers, seemingly well made but also adorned with all sorts of spikes and fancy flares that seem pretty useless, but that look cool.
Badger keeps on throwing fire at Taban, hoping to weaken him enough for Sickle to knock him out, but ready to flee when the druid goes down (as he surely will, just as fate has predestined it to be so).
As Sir Darak collapses, Badger focuses, drawing together magical energy into a flaming ball which he hurdles at the warrior. The fire splashes across his leg, his bloody wound bubbling and sizzling. He freezes for a moment in pain, clutching his leg. Kasaaptu from inside the building rushes back to the window after hearing her ally collapse, the dark powers billowing around her hands as she unleashes it. The blast hits the Taban from behind and he is flung forward into the wall, falling to his knees, as Barty's crossbow bolt flies past him, he ducks instinctively. Then rolling onto his back, somehow still conscious. He raises his hand protectively towards Sickle, "I surrender, I surrender...mercy, mercy, please..." He sobs heavily, falling back with a sigh. He lets his body slide to the ground, his head thumping onto the pavement as he mumbles a few words in Chultan that sound like perhaps a prayer. "I will pay your fee...."
(Sir Darak, it was non-lethal damage, no need for death saves).
Sickle steps forward to Sir Darak, a faint green energy flowing from the ground up into Sir Darak, who's eyes flutter open, healed.
The man, still laying prone says, "Inside, the house, under the rag in the bottom of the bucket in the center cupboard, is a small sack of gems. It is enough to pay my debt."

Tairo, who'd been laying on the ground out cold for the last 45 seconds or so slowly comes to, shaking his head, a dark blue shiner already starting around his right eye which is puffed nearly to shut. He slowly climbs to his feet, using the wall to balance himself, before spitting a tooth out with a gob of blood onto the cobbled alleyway. Kasaaptu comes out, dropping a bucket on the ground while holding a small sack her other hand. A peak inside shows a handful (10) gems that look valuable. Tairo looks wryly over at Taban, then spits some bloody spit on him angrily, without saying anything. Taban lays on the ground, not moving as he's spit upon. Tairo holds out his hand to Kasaaptu. "Let me ensure it is his debt in full, and then we may complete our agreement and I shall get you your pack animal..."
Barty rushes over to Indy. Petting him and trying to wake up his dog. “Come on, buddy.... I’ll get you anything you want.” Frantically tending to the dog that’s easily twice his size.
Kasaaptu picks up her weapons and grabs the bag of gems from the cupboard. Her head throbbing from the crushing blow she had taken from this mighty warrior. As she exits the man's house and checks on Tairo she will say to Taban,
"that was an amazing battle and display of martial power. It was also unnecessary. If you are interested in using you powers for good, you can become a hero for the world. Maybe you would like to accompany us to stop the soulmonger from swallowing souls? I am sure there will be treasure aplenty to replace and surpass what you had in your cupboard. If not, you have our undying respect and admiration. "
We she awakens Tairo she explains to him that the task was worth a vastly more significant sum considering he failed to mention Tabans incredible power, and that he should turn over the pachycephalosaurus as payment complete ( she doesnt say it, but she doesnt hand over the gems until he agrees)
And to her friends she says, " I am grateful for the mighty aid you all have given to me and feel blessed to be with you on this adventure. I am happy we were able to resolve this ( finally) without having to kill this incredible warrior. I will try and repay you all for your amazing actions when I can)
