Grenk stands roughly in the middle. Using his height he holds his glowing/flaming sword up to provide enough light for them to see. He is nearly on his top toes to see what is going on with the slime.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mal tosses the the ball bearings into the slime. They land with little sloppy splashes, but otherwise sit there unaffected by the slime in any particular way. Some cloth and food are likewise tossed into the slime with no affect, other than them sinking into the slime, or sitting just on the top of the surface. Shrugging to herself, she dips her baby finger in it slightly. She feels a dull tingle...and it seems to work it's way up into her skull and she feels as if something is clawing at her brain. She takes her finger out wiping the slime off on the wall....a firm headache prying into her brain. 5 psychic damage.
Badger releases a blast of fire at the slime. The fire hits the slime and the fire licks across the surface of the slime but seems to have no effect on it at all.
Holding her head in pain, "Well it does not seem that serious, unless I jumped into the slime, but I did feel some pain after sticking my finger into the ooze. Is there anyway for all of us to cross this area of hallway without touching the slime?"
"Thank you and you are probably right. It seems that fight with those ghouls or ghasts or whatever foul undead they were have taken more out of me than I thought. A good rest will hopefully put me back to sorts, until then we adventure on." Mal says.
He feels secure knowing there are in what appears to be a closed section of the dungeon without any roaming assailants. When we need rest, perhaps the engineer's office would be the safest place, he suggests.
While Sickle and Mal are taking a breather, Badger will ritual cast Tenser's Floating Disk.
A few minutes later a shimmering platform appears. Ignoring the door behind you, the group, one by one, ferry's across the slime and hops down to the clear passage beyond. Mal's footsteps making little to no noise, pad away and continues to lead. A few feet later and the passage turns left. Around the corner the hallway runs for 40 feet and ends in the back of a secret door. It's pitch black here, leaving the only light you've found in this place behind, the torches by the stairway. There is another patch of 15 feet of grey slime along the floor blocking your way.
More floating with the disc and Mal is next to the secret door and ready to silently peak out. She cracks it open, pulling it in. A dark hallway runs right to left. To the left, there is another patch of grey slime, then the passage continues into darkness. To the right she sees the hall is choked with dust and cobwebs. About twenty feet down she sees flickering lights dimly illuminate a larger hall running left and right. Where the two halls meet, words have been scrawled on the ceiling in dried blood. "AWAKEN NAPAKA!"

"To awaken means they must be sealed. Everything in this tomb is a monster's design. waking up anything is a bad idea I believe," Silas comments, "If you wish to undergo this venture, I believe we need some sleep first somewhere as safe we can find," He points away from the bloody writing down the dark passage.

Badger says that given enough time to prepare the ritual, he could conjure the floating disk they used to transport "Lord Grenk" across the swamp.

Sickle node at Badger’s suggestion, reaching over to tap Mal on the shoulder. “You look rough, should have taken a breather while we could.”
Cure Wounds, 3rd level, Mal gets 26 HP

Do you rest an hour here, at the bottom of the stairs, or do you head back to the engineer's office? Short rest or long rest?

Badger recalls a fact from some tidbit somewhere he must have read. Napaka was the name of the last Queen of Omu before its collapse.

Badger mutters a suggestion: Better we check the dark passage first, rather than have something sneak up on us...
(OOC: Anyone have a preference? Left into the dark passageway, or right toward the larger hall with the blood writing.)
(DM: Can I assume this entire dungeon is considered rocky terrain for the purpose of the gnome trait Stone Camouflage?)
