The group pushes on, leaving the dark room full of rotting vegetation and into the room with dragons on the walls. They move around the slime cautiously, but nothing happens whatsoever in the room and there's nothing much of interest. They reach the far passage and look down.
A short 20 foot hall with a slight left bend (and similar seams in the walls) has a stretch of slime blocking the way before opening up into a room. The group uses Badgers pad, he simply creates it halfway and the group jumps from one edge, to the pad, then across to the other side. A few minutes later you're all in the room.
A four-foot-high , seven -foot-wide iron lectern in the middle of this rusty, iron-plated room is topped by a slanted control panel. Set into the control panel are a gold lever with a star.shaped handle, two dials in red and blue, and two buttons of the same colors. Wall engravings behind the control panel show five groups ofcircles, with a small crystal embedded in the wall under each one. The crystal under the configuration labeled "3" glows bright green. Three six-inch-diameter rusty iron pipes jut from the wall above the engravings.
There is a large section of grey slime along the left wall in here. There are no obvious exits from the room...and some quick searching doesn't reveal any hidden ones.
(So looking at the pictures on the wall... the star on the far left must represent the small room we are in now. The alignment of the two left pentagons also matches what DM has posted of the two rooms we have seen. So there is presumably another pentagon room to the right that we currently can't access. Judging by the seams in the floor, the rooms rotate to access new passages, represented by the yellow bits. The bottom one is where we entered, and there must be another directly north of the first room, and two leaving from the room we haven't seen yet. The pictures also seem to have gaps showing the exits from the room. Following the order of the numbers, the middle room rotates anti-clockwise, and the other two rotate clockwise. I can't tell how the controls are supposed to work though. Also, it looks like once the rooms rotate, that this room gets cut off, so does someone have to stay in here?)

Grenk, Mal, Silas, and Sickle all stare at Badger as he ruminates on the puzzle. They silently stand...looking about at the room and controls quietly. A drop of water drops somewhere and the sound echoes through the quiet underground complex. Grenk scratches the side of his head, the gritty sound like sandpaper in an echo chamber. A fly buzzes around somewhere.

Badger passes wind. It makes no sound, and he hopes no-one will notice. But then he smells it. He says nothing, knowing he can blame Sickle if anyone asks...
Sickle hears Badger’s quiet faux pas, then smells it. He says nothing, adding it to a list of annoyances with the eccentric creature.
(Agreed. The symbol on the entrance makes me think that there could be something back the way we came. And yes, it looks like someone might have to stay here...and those pipes are concerning. Also, assuming the knobs indicate different choices, why are there two buttons?)
As Badger studies the contraption, he mutters away, arguing with the spirit in his head
maybe they are for the settings and that is to activate... I know it's risky, but we have to do something... A wave? No, it's two snakes... what do you propose? just sit here? Are those blobs of slime the last people that took your advice?... trial and error? Do you realise what error can mean in this place?.. easy for you to say, you're already dead!...
Finally he looks to the others and says: The mechanism must automatically revert to its present configuration, or none would be able to find this room, unless there truly was another way in. Only two configurations allow access from that last room to this one, so there may also be a time delay of sorts, otherwise someone would be required to remain here at the controls. The star represents our present location, the archway where we entered. The other three symbols - the wave, the chain and the.. er.. buttcrack - must represent possible exits. No configuration allows free access to everywhere, so there must be some kind of procedure. I think we can safely test the mechanism first, and I may be able to partially view the other rooms with divination as we do so.
Badger confesses that he is unsure about the three pipes in the wall, but suggests they stand in the corner on the magic disk, and he can operate the controls by mage hand... unless anyone has any other suggestions...
Agreed, GoodShepherd. My suggestion is for us all to stay here and practice the controls, but to cast Arcane Eye and have it remain in the central room, spying on the adjoining rooms as they turn, and hopefully checking the exits as well if there is enough time.

Sickle nods in agreement. “Do it. I suspect the knobs either sum together, or represent the rotation direction of the clockwise and counterclockwise rooms. The buttons on the other hand...wait. Give me a moment to try something that may help in the event of trouble...”
Sickle kneels down and spends 10 minutes casting Water Walk on the group. (If you read in the text, it indicates that it also works on acid, etc. in the event that whatever comes out of those pipes isn’t water.) None of you feel any different at the end, but Sickle assures you it may prevent a horrible death. Maybe.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Badger nods at Sickle's good thinking, but climbs on the disk anyway. Using Mage Hand at first, he starts twiddling knobs, pressing buttons and moving the lever in a systematic way, keeping track of what effect each control has on the mechanism as far as he can see it. Investigation: 18
(I'd be happy to experiment with the puzzle for real, but didn't want to clog up the story pacing...)

Mal exclaims, "I agree we need to explore these rooms to see if there is anything hidden in them that might prove useful."
Turning to other spellcasters, Silas questions ,"How much power do you have left today? I can depleted about half of my magics granted mostly weaker spells. I could cast some heavy spells but I am out of my spells,"

No problem, but perhaps you can advise what happens after each step. Badger is trying to be systematic about this.
1) Before trying anything, Badger will cast Arcane Eye and send it into the room with all the vegetation.
2) Start by assuming the knobs/buttons are settings and the lever is the activator. a. First pull the lever and see what that does on it's own. b. If nothing, then press the blue button followed by the lever. c. Then the red button followed by the lever. No knobs in this step, just buttons.
3) If we are still alive, we can try the knobs next. a. With the red knob in the centre, turn the blue knob to the left and pull the lever. Then to the right and pull. b. Then with the blue knob in the centre, try the same with the red knob. c. After that we can try both to the left, both to the right, and each of the opposites. Knobs only in this step, no buttons.
The mystical eye floats in the center of the room with vegetation. It's dark, but it can see 30 feet around itself. Nothing moves.
Badger pulls the star capped lever. It clicks into a down position and seems to lock there. There's a few moments of strange noises and then the same grey slime from before begins to pour from the three pipes at the top of the wall, slopping down and rapidly spreading across the floor of the room. Everyone steps up onto the slime as it continues to flow from the pipes. In just a few moments the entire floor is covered in an inch of slime that continues to rise. It slowly creeps down the passage back to the dragon room. No one seems to get hurt as they stand on the slime.

Nice spell you have there, says Badger sincerely to Sickle, glad for the druid's wisdom in saving them all from certain headache. Then turning back to the control panel, the gnome ponders out loud: Another possibility is that this is some kind of puzzle. If you pull the lever without the knobs and buttons in the right place, then you receive more slime.
Badger tests the lever to see if it will return to the up position. Whether it goes or not, he will continue with the plan above, resuming at 2b but only pulling the lever again if the button alone does nothing.
As the slime continues to pump into the room, Badger returns to the control panel. He pushes on the blue button. Nothing seems to happen. The lever seems stuck in the down position, and slime continues to pour. He pushes the red button. The sound of steel grinding can be heard and a massive slab of iron falls from above the exit to the room, sending slime splashing, and sealing you in.
The slime is now 3 inches deep and has nowhere to escape to, so continues to build up.
"This is probably where some of us die," Silas states deadpan, "It was just one more room. Have anything you want to pass on to loved ones just in case?"

Badger is working the controls a little faster now, looking more than a little flustered at the worsening situation, but still determined to maintain some order to his experimentation. As he does so, he responds to Mal, blurting out short phrases in between thoughts: Worse still if not for Sickle's magic... Perhaps you could be useful in the meantime... See if you can neutralize this slime... Fire doesn't work... Try something else...
Next he will try each of the knobs, turning first the blue in both directions and then the red. His idea of the purposes of the controls are rapidly changing as the situation develops. He suspects there may not be quite the system to it that he first thought, but rather just a series of random traps designed to look like an ordered mechanism.
