Another blast of sacred light hits the turtle (Dex save: 1).
Sickle throws his ice knife towards the back of the turtle as to not accidentally hit his ally with it's explosion of ice. The knife misses but explodes in the water shattering tiny shards of ice across the back of the turtle. (Dex save: 12).
Barty moves into cover, and fires an arrow which slips between the turtles outstretched neck and shell. The turtle barks a loud bark in pain.
Badger flings a stone at the turtle, the stone slamming it in the soft head, leaving a trickle of blood.
The huge beast bloodied and having not gotten a single bite of anything pulls it's head back into it's shell and tries to scamper back into deeper water and submerge itself....
(OOC: Sir Darak, and Sickle can both take an additional attack on the creature before it completes it's retreat if you wish. Kasaaptu's next attack above won't happen since the turtle gets it's action first and can easily submerge with it's movement.)

Sir Darak chews another chunk out of the seasoned, tender white meat skewer, enjoying the satisfying fishy tang along with the fresh herbs Azaka found them along the riverside. It was also nice to be a bit drier, as the fire crackled, several skewers still sizzling in a small pan held over the fire by Azaka. It was evening. The party had not taken long pulling the dead turtle out fo the water. It turns out between either between the final ice dagger or the sleep spell and a couple final jabs by Sir Darak's javelins, the creature who'd already likely taken a death blow was finally done. The real chore was helping Azaka butcher the animal for meat once they pulled it next to shore. The shell was large but could be carved down for anyone interested. For the time being it was strapped to the back of Hammu like some sort of comic fake turtle, and several large steaks were taken. Everything else was left for the jungle to consume. Azaka mentioned the meat wouldn't last the night anyway, so only take what they could eat for dinner. It wasn't worth the time to setup a smoker.
That said, the meal of sizzling meat was a welcome change from the past couple days of rations as the group hastily sets up their evening camp looking to get some well earned rest before they'd have to continue their trek through the jungle the next day. Boots were laid out before the fire to dry, as were socks, and the group arranged their random allotment of watch periods, with seemingly everyone always feeling victorious if they get final watch in the morning.
(If you want to agree on a set watch schedule, let me know, otherwise i'll just roll randomly in the event it matters....let me know, and let me know if there's anything else you plan on doing this evening, or prior to the evening...)

Kasaaptu will gather some ingredients from the plant life near camp and some charcoal from the fire for use in a ritual she was granted. She does not have a brass brazier so she will use a chunk of turtle shell to hold the components. If she was able to locate a stand of bamboo she will cut down several poles and split them down with her sickle. Using the string from her gear she will fashion some make shift barding to help protect hamma from attacks, she will craft the barding with sharpened spikes of bamboo in case someone or something gets in close enough him. Once dinner has been eaten and thoroughly enjoyed she will retire early. Inside her tent she will light the charcoal and aromatic plants to take the place of regular incense. She strips down to bare skin sitting cross legged in front of the turtle shell brazier and chants the secret words of the infernal patrons. The spot on her cheek begins to heat up and burn. She imagines she can smell her flesh burning, but she doesnt let the pain interfere with her concentration as she continues the rhythmic saying of the words. She casts find familiar for the first time, as her patron directed her to.
Kasaaptu begins spending her evening time working on some protection for Hammu, however crafting the barding will take significantly longer than an hour during the evening, she begins the project and as she sees stands of bamboo continues to work at it. It'd be nice to have a level surface to work on, and maybe some saw's or better cutting tools, but she makes due with what she has and starts the project. That evening, inside her makeshift tent she performs her rights. (What is she summoning? If she wishes there is a unicorn rabbit that is native to this region that she could also choose.)
With Badger's foretelling the party takes their well earned evening rest. The evening is humid...of course...but a tad cooler. The sheeting rain for a good part of the day has dropped the temperature enough that people are almost comfortable. Either that, or your starting to get used to this heat, and drinking water every twenty minutes to stay hydrated.
Silas purifies the food with sacred magic, and ensures everyone is free of disease. It does seem that Badger is coming down with something actually. Perhaps he got a bit too much river water in his mouth during the battle? Can anyone treat the disease?
Azaka finishes the evening by telling a story. The first time she's done something like this, she seems to open up a bit as she does the telling in hushed tones, with loud emphasis, and plenty of lively hand motions. "Let me tell you the story of the Girallon. Long ago, there was a spirit of the jungle named Girallon whose favorite form was that of a powerful ape. Girallon would stalk the forest floor, and swing through branches, free from fear of the smaller creatures. He was powerful and brave, but also proud and full of ego. He had to be the most powerful, had to be the fastest, had to be the best. Girallon could never pass up a chance to prove that he was the better to everyone he passed. One day Girallon came upon a family of other apes, and here was a powerful silverback, the greatest of the apes, that led this family. Girallon said to him, "I am stronger and faster than you, admit my superiority." As he did to all creatures he came across. The ape bowed his head, knowing that Girallon was greater. But then Girallon saw one of the females of the family, and saw a spirit shining in her. For she was a spirit of beauty living in an ape body. And Girallon said to her, "I am the strongest and fastest of any, come with me, we belong together." But nay, the spirit said, "No, I am in love with another." Girallon pressed and cajoled and argued with her, how could she love a lesser creature, he was fastest, strongest, and best. But she declined to admit who her love was, only that she was in love with it. Finally Girallon decided he must show her, and against her will, physically bore her away from her home and took her with him until she could see he was worthy of her love. That night, he pressed himself upon her, and she said to him, "My love is not yours, if you do this, you and this body may be together, but my spirit will leave." He did not listen, as was his curse. When he awoke, she was gone, and he found that her body had merged with his own. Now he was larger, and stronger, a combination of two apes, and in fact had four arms. But, her spirit was gone. He was not displeased however, and in fact was proud that he was now doubly powerful. But he soon discovered he was too large to swing through the trees, they would not support him, he was now bound to the earth. He then realized that he had enjoyed being smaller, and quicker, and able to swing through the trees, and that simply being bigger and more powerful would never make him happy. He walks the forest to this day, the Girallon, the giant four armed ape, angry at being bound to the earth, and seeking his revenge on the beauty of the jungle for it's trickery."
