Despite Azaka's assurances, Badger considers the probabilities associated with the frogmen's numbers and descriptions, and makes the following suggestion:
As there are fewer of them, perhaps the purple and orange, and maybe the blue are different in some way, and possess traits that make them more formidable. We should consider eliminating them as a priority.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
"We should take full advantage of our range attacks on the initial assault, we should be able to send in 2 volleys before they can close in to our positions. If we attack by two's from different directions we should be able to cut their numbers...As long as the Gods dont misdirect our aim"
Kasaaptu has several spells that have 120' range. If everyone has a bow or crossbow we should be able to hurt them good. Once the frog guys come our way, I will have Krull release the prisoner and we can finish the fight or withdraw depending on how it plays out.
Krull will turn invisible and move into position close by the prisoner
" I will come in from the north trail and fire on the orange frogman to start. Everyone else pick a direction based on the map i sketched for you of their approx positions"
Sir Darak Darkhall: Shaking his head, Darak answers, "I believe dividing our forces would be a tactical error. What is to stop them from deciding to all attack a single group? We have a greater chance of surviving if we stay together and assault them from a distance as you suggested."
OOC: If we attack from the West and Sickle drops a Spiked Growth targeted on their campfire, it would really ruin their day. lol

(OOC: Alright, so, if I've got it right, you guys are setting up a small camp nearby and waiting until it's fully dark. Then you're approaching from west side, and taking up positions 120 feet from their camp. Then you plan to start a ranged attack. Let me know if people get closer and/or further away for setup. If you want to change any of that, let me know.
Then roll stealth rolls please, and everyone can take their first turn. Or you can modify your setup after you read the description of camp, given everyone's vision.)
The jungle is dark and footing is pretty treacherous without some small amount of light to move about with. Both Silas and Sir Darak will need some sort of light to move about without making a lot of noise. The grung do have a camp fire which lets you see those in the immediate glow of the fire, which is only 3 figures; the human who is laying on the ground on his side curled up, the green one that hunches on the ground next to him, and the orange one with his back to a boulder. The other five green ones that are outside of tents are outside the firelight. Because you know they're there, if you look close enough (from far away), you can occasionally see a shadowy shape shift in the darkness outside the fire light. Kasaaptu passes on all of the positions so you know there is a purple one in the western most tent, and four others in the eastern tent. The tents are smaller versions of normal tents.
From 120 feet, the only person who can target the figures outside the fire light with certainty is Badger whose darkvision is exceptional. Others can target the square they're in, but it's with disadvantage. (Badger, you can make out the shadowy grey figures around the camp along with the color of the three within the light.). Kasaaptu, with your familiar just within range, you can also look through his sense and see an excellent tree-branch view of the activity and target whomever you like.
The camp is quiet except with little movement or action, though there is an odd "thrumming" noise coming from the orange Grung as he sits by the fire gazing into it's light. The strange noise is rhythmic and relaxing.

Sir Darak Darkhall: Having found a secure campsite to leave Asaka and his Retainers, Darak leaves behind the Pterafolk javelins he collected. He instructs his men, "We will not be gone long. No fire until we return. Should anything happen, use these to defend yourselves as a last resort. Stay together under the cover of the trees and listen to Asaka."
Stalking through the jungle as quietly as he can manage, the Knight approaches the ambush staging area, 120ft from the Orange frogman. Spotting the camp in the distance, he says a prayer to Tyr as he prepares for the surprise attack.
Stealth: 5
Waiting for Sickle to complete his spell, Darak rushes forward as the trap is sprung, taking cover behind a tree. Focusing all his fury on the Orange frog, the Paladin feels the darkness once again creeping up from the furthest corners of his mind. Suddenly losing control, he begins speaking slowly in a strange demonic language he's never heard before, but somehow knows intimately.

(OOC: sorry folks, busy Saturday. No need for Initiative since you guys, as a group, are initiating the battle.)
In the shadows and darkness, everyone whispers a quiet count down, with the last three being silent as people prepare to act. Then, with suddenness that impresses even you, the jungle lights up! Three rays of fire explode from Kasaaptu, streaking through the jungle lighting up vines and trees and bushes as they hurtle towards the frogs creatures in their camp. Sir Darak rushes forward, the linger light from the streaks of flame giving him enough light to jump through the forest before taking cover behind a tree. Dark words issues from him and a blast of energy follows closely behind the flames streaking towards the orange frog, but strikes the ground next to him, which explodes in a spray of dirt and rocks.
The gnome releases a ball of glowing blue ice which also streaks through the jungle, a ball that makes cracking and popping noises as it crashes into the frogmen camp and into the orange frog.
The orange frogman is struck by fire, and then ice, yelping in pain and shock, his gentle purring suddenly interrupted. A lance of flame also strikes a frogman on the rock to the north who screeches in pain. The last lance of flame narrowly misses the green frog by the human slamming into the jungle on the far side with an explosion of fire.
Yroc, you are shocked away as magical attacks of ice, energy, and fire suddenly come raining into the camp. The small fire wavers and dances casting the whole camp in a multicolored light show along with the incoming fire, glowing blue ice, and blasts of energy. Make a perception check vs DC 13. Then let me know what you do.
