Grenk suddenly feels like he ran a mile despite having not, then the sickening feel necrotic damage rolls over him. He growls and backs up a little. He draws two more of the poison arrows and lets loose at the creature. "You shall die here today. I swear it!" He yells.
Attack: 18 Damage: 14 + 2 poison + 1 radiant and 1 extra radiant if it's undead

As the 'baby' sucks the energy from Badger, you see the broken rib sticking out of its gelatinous body snap back into place the wound heal up. Then Silas unleashes a flaring bolt through the gap and it tears through the "baby"...like soft butter....leaving a hole in and out both spewing blackness...the glowing bolt searing the creature that screams in pain.
Badger, stumbling still from the soul drain...is overcome by the oppressive evil flowing from the thing in waves, and drops onto the stairs, rolling a few stairs before coming to a stop next to the wall unconscious.
Everyone feels out of breath and their minds go hazy as the things scream seems to just suck their energy out of the room.
Grenk, gritting his teeth, begins unleashing all sorts of strange blood magic....a symbol of warding appearing briefly in hazy red before him. Then the blood magic flows forward and the baby's strange magical flesh seems to soften....and become more real somehow, just in time for Grenk's two arrows to slash into it. The arrows seem to do a bit of damage, still not completely effective, but at least piercing the flesh and delivering the poison that seems to turn the things black flesh a dull grey. The mystical positive energy from them also slams into the creature and it howls in pain. The creature looks quite badly hurt by the volley of bright holy energy buffeting it, but remains alive.
Sickle steps forward, his ice wall throwing off waves of cold, and then holds his hands out...his blue eyes crackle with energy as he unleashes a blast of lightning at the thing. There's a blindly bright zig zag of light across everyone's vision and the air fills with the acrid tang of ozone.

Keshma looks over at Grenk, "Uh...how we doin, you want for me to keep hammering this thing?" She doesn't wait for an answer and swings her hammer twice at the smoky apparition before her. Attack: 22 Damage: 15 Attack: 13 Damage: 19
The two blows whip through the wraith...taking bits of essence with it, the wraith starting to look a little weak.

Sickle's ice wall collapses as he his soul is drained by the horrid thing. Gritting his teeth he holds up his hand and unleashes another lightning bolt at it. A thunderous CRACK fills the room, a jagged streak of blinding light.

The wraith falls beneath's Keshma's hammer, evaporating into nothing....and then the massive baby is struck by the lightning bolt.....and it's grotesque form begins to bubble and roil , tears appearing everywhere, black energy spraying from it....and then it explodes....in a wave of horror and evil energy that washes through the room. What remains of its tattered body falls...plummeting into the lava with a wet splash, into a sizzling, burning, smokey mess.
We are still in initiative though, since Badger is dying.

He then let's out a quick laugh and looks over at his companions. "We did it friends..." he begins to say and then pauses as he sees Badger down and Silas trying to revive him.
Grenk rushes over and pulls his only remaining healing potion out. He pulls the cork with his mouth and dumps it down Badger's throat.

Badger blinks abruptly as Silas and Grenk crouch over him, trying to tend to his wounds, though the wounds are of a supernatural nature...the magical healing elixir seems to do the trick and bring him around. "We did it!" repeats Grenk, a big grin on his face, though his face is drawn and he, like everyone here, looks exhausted. Sapped of energy, still a sort of joy swirls about the group. Silas figures, with the undead baby thing gone, and those waves of necrotic energy no longer flooding across them, healing will probably work once again.
Badger is laying in a half-sitting position on the stairs, and props himself up on his elbows. His two friends are crouched on the stairs before him....looking both pleased and concerned as they look down at him. Behind them, near the bottom, Keshma hovers, a grin on her face, her huge hammer in her hands, watching them rouse the Gnome. Behind her, Sickle stands impassively, staring up towards him. Mal leans on the corner...glancing up at him....still somehow glowering, despite their victory.
Behind them, the scene is markedly absent of a massive grotesque, black floating baby creature. The sulphuric smell of the lava wafts up into the room lit by the glow of the molten rock below...the air thick and warm...drying sweat as fast as it can form. The tips of the rent metal struts hang limply from the stone, the vessel at the center long since turned to molten slag. At the far end of the room is the small balcony, on which is a square glowing portal...which Badger notices is pulsing slightly. A small furrow appears on his forehead.
Because everyone is looking at him....they don't notice, and so it's only Badger who sees a tall skeletal form step from the portal. Emerging into existence beside him is what appears to be a floating ball of pure darkness. He clutches a tall staff in his hand, capped with a skull, his robes ancient and dusty, to match his obvious undead and skeletal form. His eyes....cinders of pure hatred, are just a pinprick of white light shining from within his undead skull.
Everyone starts as a raspy, dry voice speaks from the far side of the room, and turn to see the figure standing there across the lava pit. You can hear the 'sneer' in its voice as it speaks, quavering with rage, "Puny mortals....what have you done? You've....destroyed it....destroyed it ALL? Come then...I shall reap a few more souls before the day is done..."
But there's a moments pause, as there is a flash of light from Badger, Grenk and Mal. Overlaid across Mal, a tall, thin legged bird with a wicked beak can be seen, transparent and shadowy, it seems to glow with a wavering light as it says, "ACERACK! THE TIME OF OUR REVENGE IS UPON US!" The glowing form of a rabbit with a long pointy horn on it's head wavers within Grenk's body... "NO MORE TRICKS, TIME TO PERISH CURSED BEING!". And the form of a bear like animal wavers over Badger, "THOUGH THESE VESSELS MAY FAIL, IT IS TIME WE SHOWED YOU CREATURE, WE ARE THE GODS HERE!"
Badger, Grenk, and Mal are all filled suddenly with a wellspring of energy within them....the gods forms encasing them like a shield. Mal, you hear Papazolt whisper, "I will protect...but you must be my weapon.....your battle is not yet done. Act...now." Grenk hears I'jin whisper to him, "Let's get over there and push him in the lava!" Badger, Obo'laka whispers, for once, there is no hint of caution, "Time he dies. Be the tip of my spear."
Keshma looks over, a grim look on her face, "Alright you pile of bones, time to show you what Dao can do..."
